Sheila just called me to say that she is back in the hospital. She had surgery a month or so ago due to uterine cancer and was fairly confident that they had gotten it all. Then two weeks ago, she had surgery again, as the surgeon found she “was full of cancer.” She was to start chemo therapy this coming week. She started having extreme pain yesterday and when they did an ultra-sound, discovered a 2 cm tumor in her pancreas. This is an extremely fast growing, deadly form of cancer. She said the pain was more intense than when she had children, so she has been on morpheme. She asked me to please contact everyone that I can who will pray for her. She knows that at this point the only hope that she has to live is for a miracle. Sheila is a woman of God and has been a faithful servant of the LORD for many years. She is trusting the LORD and asks that we pray for her healing, if this is God’s plan for her to live. She also asks for them to have wisdom regarding her treatment at this point, and for the doctors to have God’s guidance in helping them to make the right decisions. Please pray and pass this request along to anyone else that you know who can pray for Sheila. I will try to keep you updated on her status. We can all pray in agreement the prayer below, if you feel so led! God bless you for your faithfulness in prayer, Tami Father, I thank you that Sheila knows you and that she loves you and trusts you with her whole heart. LORD, we do not presume to know Your plans for her, for Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. But LORD, you have given us the charge that we are to pray to You and that we would see miracles. When You were on this earth, LORD, you never turned anyone away who needed healing to their body and so we know that it is Your will that we would have life and have it abundantly. I pray that You will send Your healing touch to Sheila. Stop the cancer from spreading and remove it from her body. LORD, show Sheila what treatment she is to receive from the doctors. Give her doctor’s wisdom. Keep her faith in You strong in this time of trial. LORD, we choose to put our trust in You, and nothing else. I pray that You will move mightily in all aspects of Sheila’s life and that of her family. Be with her husband, Brian, and their children. I especially pray for Bethany, who is only 11 years old. LORD, we know that You are able to do far above all that we can possibly ask or even think! Nothing is too hard for you. We know that You are able to heal Sheila, but even if you don’t, LORD, just as Shadrach, Meshac and Abednigo, I praise You and know that You will be with Sheila in this greatest trial of her life. Let her know Your presence, feel Your touch, and give her peace that You are working mightily in her life according to Your PERFECT WILL. We commit our sister, Sheila, into Your hands!
