My wife struggles with bitterness and anger (not just with me) and it is weighing heavily on our marriage and family. She doesn't see it this way. She claims the "right" to have her own emotions (which obviously she has the right to have) but she won't take responsibility for her actions and she lives strictly off of her emotional experiences. I love her dearly and trust that God is in control but it is getting hard and harder. May we all have an eternal perspective.

The Lord has totally and remarkably turned me around, hallelujah!
I have to run right now, but I will pray for your wife and will return to this thread later to post a prayer.
Nothing is too hard for the Lord, and your tender and understanding prayer for your wife is absolutely the best thing you can be doing right now!

I understand what you are going thru . I am experiencing the same .
Anger , resentment , hatred , rebellion , what is she going thru ? The rebellion may be against God , you are only the actuator . Her walk is with Him not us. My prayer is for you and her .
" Father God ,please hear our prayer. Please see that your deciples are placed in the the path of these people , so that they both hear and understand your will in the matter of their marriage . We pray that in everything that happens , You are honored first , Your will be carried out, Your kingdom be sustained . Please grant O G the patience he will need to endure this trial , and that he will always be worthy of his claim to You Father . "
O G , what is it about " God hates divorce " do people not understand ?
The old testament is filled with disfunctional family issues . Should we expect it to be different now ? I often ask the Father " Why me , Why now , What have I done to upset you ? Please take this cup from me Father... "
Satan is strong and his effect upon us is powerful . Not always through us personally , but throught the world around us . Stand firm , do not let this trial turn you away from the Father , as men often do in crisis.

Just wanted to pray with you over your situation. It can be hard for people to deal with their emotions, especially if they are struggling with the past and past issues in their life. You, out of any in her life, needs to be the biggest support. JL
Dear God,
Help Object to see and understand how he can be a huge support to his wife in her difficulty in dealing with her emotions. Help him to look to you for guidance and realize that things from the past, present, or outlook for the future can weigh heavy on a persons emotions. Give him strength to deal with his feelings over the situation and allow him the opportunity to be the spiritual leader and otherwise of his family. Continue to interceed with his wife, that she will see the need for dealing productively with her emotions. Show her, Lord, that she is allowed to have her emotions, but that she cannot infringe on others and hinder them with her feelings. Give her the strength to deal wish past hurts or frustrations, so that she can begin to heal from whatever resentment and anger she is harboring in her life. Give them both strength to work on these issues as a couple, and as a family.
I pray this in Jesus' precious name...Amen...

I pray Lord that the Love of God would be shed abroad in this womans heart. I pray she would see how blessed she is. I pray your conviction over her. I pray her husband would have peace and hear your voice. I pray you would set this woman free and show her the selfishness of her heart when things don't go her way. I pray you would give her peace. Help her to get into your word and prayer. Send forth laborers accross her pass. Show her she doesn't have a right to be angry all the time because Jesus bore it all. Help her not to hear the voice of the enemy. Keep temptations away from this family. In Jesus name, amen.
