I have recieved an awesome blessing. I have had a wonderful guy come into my life and I know that God sent him to me. He is a wonderful person who loves the Lord, and he truly cares for me. I am a young girl, but I have had my heart broken a time or two. He is ready to wait to get married till I finish school and I am so excited that I found someone worth the pain I have went through. There is one problem: our ages. I am comfortable with it, but I know that there are going to be people, that are very important to me (like my family), who aren't so accepting. I am 18, and tomorrow he will turn 32. But I love him so much, and he makes me so happy. Please be in prayer for our relationship, and for when we tell my extended family. Thanks !!

Wake up, Lissa!!!!!!!!! Wise up anyhow!!!! You already know the answer to this one!!! I hope everyone in your extended family goes ballistic when you tell them. There's a reason for that!!! Before you force me to get really nasty, you lead me to believe that you're the only one defending this relationship. What does your familiy think? your pastor? friends? other women in the Church? Have you given consideration to the the possibility that there's a really good reason why this 32 year old boy, 14 years your senior, isn't married with a family of his own already? Or does he and you don't know about it? As this is a "Christian" site and I'm a "Christian" man, husband and father, I won't "share" with you my true opinion on the subject or tell you what would happen if one of my daughters came home with some cad 14 years older than them. Take your shoes and socks off and do the math. Control and ownership. (right after we're married, the next step is seperation from everything you previously held dear. you heard it here first!) If your image of yourself is so low that you think that at the advanced age of 18 this is as good as it's going to get for you, you need more help than is available here. NOT TO SAY THAT THIS CAN'T HAPPEN AND YOU CAN'T FIND TRUE HAPPINESS, BUT ... You are made in the image and likeness of God. Allow God to shape you. I pray a "hedge of protection" around you. I pray wisdom for you.

I look forward to round 2.

Bravo, Henry!

Thanks archie for agreeing with Henry yes it isn't a good idea to be involved with someone that much older. I am 31 and 18 is a baby (no offense) to us that age. You have alot to learn and do to equal the knowledge of this man. Sorry but I believe this would not be God. Please rethink this Lisa. At that age I had a friend dating a 42 year old man. It caused her nothing but greif. He had kids her age. Really is robbing the cradle. Seek God diligently. You have your whole life ahead.
