Hi All,
Just heard from my attorney. Husband has filed a new motion that will be heard Tuesday, May 11th, at 8:30 AM PST, as I am "contesting" that our marriage is irretrievably and irreconciliably broken. I am not officially contesting that except that I'd asked I not have to sign papers. So this is a very new development.
My husband will be submitting some sort of papers to prove our marriage is irretrievably and irreconciliably broken, and I will have to respond. I've been feeling for a while that it might be good to write some loving, healing words in a court document that would then join the previous battling ones in public record. This would be my chance.
I'm still in a spin about if I should re-dismiss my attorney or not. She is insisting I be at the hearing, and is very afraid my husband might try to enter any papers he could at that time. She said the court will view my non-attendance as disinterest and disregarding the court. I don't think that is a very good idea. She is trying to get me to think of the worst possible scenario, and totally doesn't understand the idea of God being my defense.
So, my husband is on his way here to pick up our daughter for the evening, and I am going to a healing service, and he just called that his car is crawling down the freeway at only five miles per hour in the pouring rain and thunder. He will likely need for me to come and get him and whatnot, and I'm sick and a mess. I'm praising the Lord for another opportunity to show him unconditional love and to probably spend some time together.
Anyway, please, please pray. Please pray.
Thank you,
Erika

Yes Lord, thank you Jesus. I agree with her for this reconciliation all things are possible to those who believe and I believe with her! I bind/rebuke this divorce in Jesus name what God put together let no man separate in Jesus name. I loose love, reconciliation, restoration and healing to take it's place.

Erika,
I deal with the courts all the time. You would definately be seen as disrespectful to the court if you do not show. Even if you do not say anything you could be there and simply have your attorney turn in your papers that you believe the marriage can be restored.
It is entirely possible, that the Judge will rule to drop the divorce that day. And this is more likely to occur if you are there. (Again, you do not have to speak, just sit next to your attorney and pray... pray with your eyes open but be there and pray nonceassing.)
That is the day a breakthrough could really happen. (And if it doesn't appear to happen in the physical, it could happen in the spiritual.)
