please read and help me cross the threshold

I pray so much and I see awesome results from this, yet I feel almost like a fraud because I do not truly feel that I have been saved. I had a dream years ago that was so vivid I can still recall the feeling that it invoked in me. In that dream I was alone in a small but beautiful room when a presence appeared in the doorway. It was not an actual person, more of a spirit that radiated the most intense love and serenity imagineable. If possible, even greater than what I could imagine. I woke up from that dream feeling as if I had been shown what heaven is like.
In spite of my belief I still feel like I am on a threshold, maybe even afraid.
I want and need to be saved. There is an emptiness in me that won't go away. I have read prayers for salvation and it is like there is a block keeping me from really absorbing the message.
Help!

I am praying for you right now.
May I suggest a few things. Satan tries to lie to us by saying we are not saved. Jesus gives us His word He will not turn us away.
Satan lies and says it will not work for us.
Jesus says He loves you this much.

I used to drink about a 1/2 of a 5th a day. Then I chased that with drugs. Jesus has taken all of the cravings away. I have not had a drink for 17 years and do not want one.

Once I saw how much Jesus loved me no Booze was worth losing that love.

Thank you, Jerry. I read your response and prayers and these are the words that came forth: (my fingers were trembling so much that it was difficult to type)

Father, I pray for the lost. May mngirl eyes open to the beauty of having a true relationship with You. May she run from the dark and run into Your undying light. May her soul thirst for You and may she hunger for Your word. May she seek You and desire to do Your will for her life. Surround her heart and minds, fill her with Your abundance of love and peace. Carress her spirit with Your annointing. I pray in Your most Holy name. Amen
