Is There a God?
No one can prove to you the existence of God, just as no one can prove to you that Americans walked on the moon. But you still might be able to be certain of His existence:
Are you just idly curious? Then perhaps you'll never know. But if you feel you must know to fill a void in your life, it’s easy. Go into a church, kneel down, assume that God exists and can hear you, talk to him about your life and troubles, then very sincerely ask him if he indeed exists. Wait for an answer. If you are fortunate, he will let you know. Not with actual words, but unmistakable nonetheless.
Why in a church? Why kneel down? It’s just a sign of respect. Just in case. And it shows your sincerity.
God was kind enough to indicate His existence to your editor in a much more direct way. The following is a true account, and I remember it like it was only yesterday:
"I can absolutely guarantee that there is
a heaven, and that my Grandpa is there.
Here’s why:
When I was a boy, my mother gave piano lessons to augment our small income. Our piano was an old upright that was so decrepit that it couldn’t be tuned, and had several keys that didn’t play at all. We couldn’t afford a better one.
My grandfather, whose name was Joseph Weber, came to spend the last few months of his life with us. I don’t know what he was suffering from, but he was very ill and couldn’t get up from his bed. He would hear Mother talk about how difficult it was to teach on our old piano. Just before he died, he told her that when he got to heaven, the first thing he would do would be to make sure she got a new piano. Mom told him that she had been saving for years, and that all she was able to put aside was $50.00, not nearly enough even then. “Don’t worry, Ruthie,” he said, “ I’ll make sure you get one. I’ll send it right down from heaven.”
A few days after Grandpa died, Mother got a call from someone who was moving out of our small town. It seems that they had a nice grand piano, almost new, and they had seldom used it and did not want to move it. They had heard that she was a piano teacher, and they wanted to know if she would like to purchase it for $50.00.
Only after it was all set up in our living room, and Mom sat down to play it for the first time, did she notice the brand name of the piano, written in big gold letters above the keyboard. It was a little known maker, the only one of that make that I have ever seen. Mother sat motionless, staring, before bursting into tears.
It was a Weber.
So that is how I know that my Grandpa is in heaven. And that is why I returned to God after a long absence." .

I think science does a pretty good job of researching and validating a Living God, whom we cannot see - even if they themselves do not admit to it!
1) In science it is a fact that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed. This amazes me as our Lord God is Omnipotent (All-Powerful) and He was neither created nor can he be destroyed.
Another aspect of his power is in modern atomic theories, and theories of quantum mechanics - very interesting stuff!
(Now my ramblings...) A scale model of an atom (which by the way was discovered by a scientist who had a dream he was sitting on the Sun and saw all the planets whirling around him on strings
) which has an overly large and unstable nucleus would be of uranium 238. This atom if scaled to the size of the Empire State Building would have a nucleus the size of a grain of sand. Wow, all this stuff we see and feel in this reality of ours is really made up of nothing - held together by power!!!
Going even further science has discovered at the sub-atomic level these atoms have a frequency "not unlike a voice," now that was an amazing fact to this Christian, since our fundamental belief is the Lord spoke all things into existence!
Fundamentally, we are nothingness, held together by the Omnipotent power of a Loving God!
2) I also remember hearing that nothing can be put into motion without something putting it into motion (or, some affect similar to that...) So who would be the one responsible for making everything in the Universe start moving in the beginning?
3) With the conclusion of the Human genome project it was said within the scientific community that evolution is absolutely impossible, and it is much more plausible that the laws of thermal dynamics would inadvertently change! Something else of interest is scientists had conclusively discovered that there is enough genetic material, through natural aging, that humans should be living to be 120 years old! Now where was that stated before, thousands of years ago - HMMMMM
The evidence is there for those who have "Eyes to see, and ears to hear."
I really enjoyed the testimony from mellie73 about the piano, may it be an encouraging word for many others! Many Blessing to all in their walk with the Lord!

Mellie: Terrific story. Truely touches the heart. Keep it up!. Bill and Lexis- We have to get together sometime. God gave me tremendous insights into Chemistry, Biology and Physics also. Your explaination is also terrific. But God went even deeper into studies about this with me. Really wild to have seen God turn the tables on secular science, with thier own evidence. It's incredible to think many a secular scientist are starting to believe there really did have to be a "God" or ultimate "Power" behind the start of our world. Nearly 6,000 years ago, God declared He made man's body from the "dust of the ground". Scientists, trying to prove that wrong, actually found it to be true. And theres so much more. (God turned Bible Studies in Classes about this and more over the years). Take care all and God Bless your work for God!!
