A marriage Prayer for any who wish to pray it.

There are times in our lives that we need to pray, sometimes we are too weak or too tired, or our heart is in such pain that there are no words. This prayer is for those times. This prayer is a gift for you. It is to the God of Heaven, Father of Jesus the Christ. Take it and ask the Holy Spirit to see it as if you had written it yourself, then ask for his anointing as you pray. Draw close to God, let the words be from your heart. Then trust God for the results. James 5:16b The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man(or woman) availeth much.



Heavenly Father, We Praise you for Marriage. Lord, Thank you for creating men and women who alone are incomplete, but together are whole. Father, we have no concept of the great truths of marriage, but we know that you do.



Lord we pray that you will touch our marriage, that you will show us the joy that you intended for us in this relationship. We pray that the love we felt for each other before our wedding will be “felt” and “seen” and “enjoyed” throughout this lifetime you have allotted to us. Help us to see each other as our best friend, a gift from You, a joy to behold, the second-greatest love of our lives, the relationship that heals, encourages, protects, balances, overcomes all adversity, makes us blind to each others faults, makes our eyes sparkle, our hearts soar, our desire grow, and our joy be full.



Lord teach us to pray for each other, out loud, together. Let us pray for the best you have to offer for our mate. Raise up a family that puts you first, that seeks your will in our lives, that supports each other, that nurtures the family. Let us always think of our mate as ourself, for in the miracle of oneness, we are.



Father, we pray that you will create in us a heart to help the people around us. To support the needs of your family, and encourage those who’s hearts are troubled. Father place your arms around us, and give us tender hearts that we will see other’s pain, and provide hope and love. Lord let your courage flow through us that we may be willing and able to go the extra mile for this family. Help us to not become so tired that we bite when we should be snuggling closer. Lord we get so distracted by so many interferences in our lives, we forget the people who truly matter. Let us learn to smile when we want to frown, let us learn to speak softly when we feel like yelling, let us remember to breath-in and breathe-out when we are stressed. Let us laugh when we have heard the same joke ten times, or the same story over and over. Let us remember that this partner is me and respond as I would want to be responded to.

Father, please give us times of joy and times of quiet, times to share the desires of our hearts, give us loyalty that we can share those desires safely. Give us times of rolling on the floor laughter, times of helping each other. Show us the things we can do for our mate and show us how to make them feel loved and accepted. Help both of us to feel secure in who we are and in knowing that our mate will always protect us, will never speak evil about us, and will always share and acknowledge our love of each other with those at work, and in our families, and with our children.



Make this a marriage of Lovers, helpers, keepers and supporters. Let your Spirit be present in our lives, our hearts and our family. Bless this Home Lord, and Bless us.

thank you for the prayer. i have printed it so i can pray it everyday.we have been married 24 yrs and have be separted 6 months now and i want my marriage to worl. i love my husband dearly and i know that GOD is the only answer to this. thanks again it made me feel a little better. i pray that GOD will always work in you and bless you richly. with GODs love kathy

Dear God,
Please take that prayer as my own also.You, Father know how I have believed these last 10 months & everything Robin & I have been through. I refused to listen to everyone else.those that told me to move on,kick her away for good,she loves another now......all those trite words meant nothing to me God.Only You God,gave me the strength & courage to face those long nights & terrible days & now you have brought Robin home,hopefully to stay.So,yes Lord I again ask you to see this prayer as mine.It hits so many places in my heart.I love You God & I thank you for giving me a second chance at life & my marriage.Please Lord,I beg you, please restore my marriage.

Lord, Bless Kathy and her husband. Answer her prayer, and guide her as she learns to love in new and rewarding ways. Call out to her husband and draw him back to his bride. Give him thoughts of the joys of their relationship, and cause the hurts to be given to you. Cause healing to enter this marriage, and bless the partners and the family. Father Bless and cause Wholeness to enter this relationship. Bind up the open wounds, and let these mates learn to truly love each other again. Teach them the ways to bless each other, Cause freshness and joy and happiness to touch their hearts. Let them laugh over the good times and put the bad times behind them. Lord, renew, refresh, lead, heal and protect Marriage. For it is a picture of you and your bride.
