Sorry to have to start a new thread, but the forum wouldn't just permit me to respond. I post this here as a warning so that others would not be misled by the bogus marketing hype being promulgated about the corporation sole.
The corporation sole is being recommended by swarms of corporate sole peddlers on the internet, as a way of organizing churches and ministries in America.
The corporate sole peddlers are also claiming all kinds of amazing attributes of the corporation sole, including tax immunity and asset protection, not only for real churches, but for anything imaginable, like personal assets and businesses. They seem to think they can call just about anything a church and then magically avoid paying taxes on it.
There's a number of web sites promoting the corporation sole. It's been hard to find anything explaining the other side of the corporation sole story. That concerns me, because, as we all know, "There's two sides to every story." Thankfully, I've now gotten the other side of the corporation sole story, and I sure am glad I did.
