My sister (Laura) phoned and told me she is ready to grow up (at 37 years old) for the sake of her children (Mike & Savvy). She is 3 years into her second marriage and has always been a "fun-loving party girl". I was very glad to get the phone call, as she said she wanted to change for the sake of her kids. She is anti-religeous and closes the door when it is mentioned. I see some hope with the latest development and know the Lord is working on her.
Her husband is addicted to cocaine and sells it from his workplace. Despite her objections, he is using at their house after work. I just learned that she asked him to move out 6 months ago and he refused. She is moving into an apartment with the children on Sept 1. He doesn't know it yet, and I will be telling him this on Sunday. The kids are 13 and 14 years and wonderful children, but they are not stupid. I'm glad she has made this decision as they are in that tough age group.
Husband (Mike) is an athiest. Not violent to her or the kids, but a typical biker... cusses a lot, long hair and tattoos for shock value, and disdain for society. He is a good provider, but has been neglecting her and the kids for the past 8-9 months. He does not realize he is doing this and is in the "denial" phase of addiction. The lifestyle is not good for them, much less the children.
I feel like a hypocrite as I am no saint.

Lord with you all things are possible. Bring salvation to this whole family according to your promise in Acts 16:31, in your name I pray, amen.
