In troubled times,
when we might feel
that we are all alone,
And sorrow overtakes us,
seems to chill us to the bone,
When we might feel we can't go on,
can't take another day,
Our Father waits to hold us close
and take our fears away.

Who else will understand us
and will love us faithfully?
Who else can move the mountains
and can calm a raging sea?
Who else invites His children
to bring all their cares to Him?
Only our Loving Father,
Mighty God, Beginning,End.
To Him belongs the glory
and all worship, praise and love.
Before Him shall all knees be bowed!
Heavenly Father, God above.

Thanks. I needed that after (or during--but I just read it) trying to deliver three paper routes yesterday, walking. It was so hot, and the bag of papers was heavey (even though I carried two loads). I was out there wandering around, mumbling "Where's 1206? What street is this? Am I still on Park?" My legs hurt so bad, and I could barely walk the last little bit....Met a really nice kitty at the last house, though, and loved on him, which must have been God, because He knows I LOVE cats, and some are not very affectionate. Anyway, I made it, and I knew exactly what your poem (Did you write it?--I write, too) says. I felt all along, God was with me and I would make it....even though I forgot the keys to my sister's house and had to go back (riding busses) to my place to get them. So I delivered the papers way to late. They are supposed to be out by 5:00, and I got done closer to 7:00. I was subbing for the substitute, who is doing the routes for my nephews while they are on vacation. Anyway....God is good! JeriRose
