Hi please all Christians come in here after you have seen the movie the passion of the Christ and tell us what was happening in your movie theater as you were watching the movie, such as were people crying, very quiet, shocked to see what he went through for all mankind, did people ask Jesus to come into there hearts right then and there etc, share with us the presence of God you will feel when you watch the movie such as right before the movie starts God spirit will already be moving very powerfully.

This is Jerry
I have edited Chris's post because I merged the passion post's into one thread.

I am also seeing it tonight. I pray that the Lord opens my eyes, mind and heart to all He is trying to convey. I pray that I can use this experience to witness to others. I pray that those who feel convicted from the movie can see in me the joy of loving God. Amen!

I saw this movie last night with others in my Church...all I could do was sit in my seat and just think ......WOW!!!!!!....people were very quiet when it was over, and I'll tell you~with everything that has happened to me with the reaffirmation of my walk with the Lord, and enduring various trials...Christianity is NO theory,Christ is alive and I thank God for Mel Gibson who had the bravery to make this movie, and other wonderful actors who made the choice to be in it as well.I am taking my 2 younger teenage sons and my youngest son's girlfriend to see the movie this Saturday. All my sons have been raised in the church, have accepted Christ when they were little, but have fallen away a bit as well as my youngest son's girlfriend. If you and others reading this now could keep them in your prayers that the Holy Spirit would show them lovingly the way back to fellowship with God..I would so appreciate it,and I appreciate prayer warriors like you.

Sincerely,
Tina

Hi Jerry,

Brian and I bought tickets to see this movie on Sunday. Please pray that I can find a babysitter!!! Anyway, I am excited to go and see it, from what I have been seeing even grown men have emerged from the theaters in tears. I cannot wait to be so moved, and I especially want my husband to see it. I will let you know what we thought about it Sunday Night.

Yours in Christ,
Mary

Hello Jerry, I watched your video clip and it worked fine. I took my family to see the movie last night (2-25-4). People outside the theater were kinda shocked that I would take my 9 year old, but she understands what this movie is about and honestly, she was moved. My 13 year old had tears, I think this is a life altering movie for teens, it lets them see how much we are loved by the Almighty. I highly reccommend parents take their children. They see more violence on regular television.

i am going to see it tonite with my hubby and i am excited and soooo nervous. please pray that i do not turn away. i need to see evry bit of what my sin cost him. ......

I thaught that movie was amazing. I have known the story for so long, and after a while, it becomes like a fairy tale. This movie made it so real agian. My friends, non-beleivers, all loved the movie. After the movie, I think everyone was completly stunned.. No one moved during the credits. As much as this movie is a wonderful tool for reaching the unsaved, this movie is just plain and simple good.

Posted by: person

It was amazing. Plain and simple, it was amazing. I don't know about more violence on tv, but i do know that in this movie, the violence is done with taste. The movie does not glorify violence. Every time the violence was too much to bear, Mel shows a flashback from Jesus' past or shows Mary's reaction to what is happening to her son. This movie is the only movie I have ever felt like crying.

Man I was holding in most of my tears and was starting to shake from wanting to bawl, till mary kneeled down to help Jesus with the cross then I let er rip crying, Oh man this movie is like you are really there when it happened 2000 years ago, the Holy Spirit led me all the way through it and let me be as though I was there in what he was going through etc, Millions will be saved watching this movie, this is why the devil didnt want it to get shown, THANK YOU JESUS FOR WHAT YOU DID FOR ME AND THE WHOLE WORLD WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH, EVEN SO COME LORD JESUS COME!!! I AM ALMOST NUMB AND SPEECHLESS STILL, AND THE ANOINTING IS STILL ON ME, THE POWER OF GOD IS AWESOME THERE TO GOD BE THE GLORY.. I had to speak in tongues to get through a lot of it, And just think what he went through was way worse for the bible says you couldnt even recognize he was a man from being beat so much.... SELAH

My husband and I went to see the Passion of Christ this afternoon and it was certainly lifechanging. The theater was extremely quiet, despite the number of people who attended. No one spoke out during the movie, but you could hear the shock and cries of people as they were watching the physical pain and anguish Jesus endured for us. I don't think there was a person there who did not cry. The people stayed in their seats after the movie ended. I could see some people praying. Still, no one spoke. I left the theater speechless myself, as I absorbed it all in. I feel that everyone needs to see this movie. Believers will have more faith in our Lord than ever before and I feel this will turn around many people who are currently non-believers or unsure about Christ. I know I felt more love in me for Jesus than I ever have. I had no idea just how much he suffered. Reading about it in the Bible is one thing, seeing it in front of you is devastating. It made me realize that the suffering I am going through in my own life is nothing... nothing at all compared to what Jesus did for me. I thank God that He gave Mel Gibson the courage and strength to bring His word to the people in this way. This was the most powerful and lifechanging movie I have ever seen.

You could have heard a pin drop in that theater. This is truly the most awesome movie and a very powerful tool. People also sat in their seats as the credits rolled at the end. There was a lot of tears including myself. As a mother, I could relate with Mary, it was heart wrenching. As a Spirit filled believer the movie strengthened my faith. I had a total peace the whole next day. If you are not a believer I don't know how you could sit and watch that and not become one. God bless Mel Gibson, this was along time coming. And some extra info - this is the first of many more movies like this to come. This info came from a reliable source. This movie will be an aid to save thousands - PRAISE GOD!

I've been moved to tears watching commercials, so I think I may wait till it's on video or pay-per-view so I can weep uncontrolably in the privacy of my home!

Jerry, Your clip played fine on my slow modem. I saw the movie on opening night. It will without a doubt change lives. It did mine. I feel more compassion and the little things, really, that seem to bother us, just don't seem to matter anymore. The theater was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop, during and after the movie. Most people sat in their seats as the credits rolled. People were silent as they were leaving. God bless Mel Gibson, this was along time coming. I also have info that this was only the first, there will be more to follow. Prais be to God!

A lot of people got right up and left in my theatre. What's up? Anyway, I just wanted to sit there and think about it. I will say that no-one talked during the movie. It was the quietest I've heard a theatre.

I don't ever want to hurt Him again! If you are sinning and calling yourself a Christian, go see this movie, and see if you can continue. Man, everyone living together will quit! Everyone drinking or doing drugs, who'll want it? Everyone in an affair will repent! He suffered that much for us and we can't give up something for Him? He said if the world hated and persecuted Me, they will hate and persecute you. We are wimpy in America, me included.

This had nothing to do with Jews killing Jesus. It was all about JESUS dying WILLINGLY for my sin. In the movie, He says that very thing -- that He freely laid His life down. No-one can accuse the Jews of killing Jesus. I killed him! MY sin killed him! He told Pilate he had no power except what was given him from above.

I was riveted, though I closed my eyes a few times.

The bus driver and a rider were dissing the movie as being too violent -- but as you said ANOINTED WARRIOR -- I'm sure Jesus looked even worse. Someone on the msn article said Mel Gibson just likes gore. They couldn't believe anyone would torture someone that way and laugh (as in the Roman soldiers when they whipped Jesus). But it's ALL Bible. When the one priest (was it Caiphas?) walked up to Jesus and mocked Him because He said He could rebuild the temple in three days if it was destroyed but He couldn't even come off the cross....I couldn't believe the coldness in his eyes. Man! But I wasn't thinking about him being a Jew. I was just thinking of the level of depravity in man.

Anyway, it was awesome. I saw it opening night with my church, then I went back to a matinee today. I want to SUPER support this movie to keep it in the theatre. Plus, I just really liked it. I felt the anointing. I was praying in tongues before and all the way through, too, except when the tongues died in a particualarly riveting scene.

I heard it made $20 million on opening day!!! Praise the Lord!!! I believe it's going to outsell every movie in history!!!

The movie was beautiful. It was not gore! It was what my Lord suffered for me. That's why I truly don't understand compromising Chrisitians....If every back slidden, half hearted Christian would go see this, I am sure they would repent! How could you want to hurt someone who did THAT for you? It was so moving; I was riveted. I closed my eyes a time or two. I held my tears in, though, but was trying to let them loose. But it just made me think and reflect. Afterwards, I just wanted to meditate on what I saw. I saw it twice already. I would go every day if I could, for the duration. I cried some today. It was just so awesome, I can't even explain. It was anointed!!! I know, even though people have told me it's too violent and reporters focus on the "gore" that what Jesus went through was probably worse than even this movie showed. One reporter couldn't believe anyone would whip Jesus and laugh like that, but the Bible says they did! This is Bible. A few things were added for the effect (that the Bible doesn't say was there) but he kept it Biblical. Every one of the seven sayings Jesus said on the cross was included. I could go on and on. It was just so....special. I don't even know the word to use. The glory is on it. It is life changing! I beleive revival is coming to America through this movie!!!

The clip played perfectly well.

I also saw the movie on opening night. It was amazing. At the end everybody cheered. Then almost everybody just sat there in dead silence. We all sat there til the end of the credits then everybody left as silent as possible. Even on the way home, no one said a word.

There were a couple parts that i could have done without seeing (purely because I'm a very sensitive person and it was not the scenes that were a little bloody) but the rest of it was amazing. It was very moving.

Could you guys go post a prayer for the movie to be used mightily?

I am not seeing this movie until Friday March 5th. It is the only time my dear best friend and sister Rachel and I are both able to see it, not to mention that in the days prior to that date, a lot of the showings are most likely sold out. I bought tickets already for the 4:00 PM showing that day. I have been reading all of your testimonies about the movie. It makes me wish I could see it sooner! When I come back the Friday night of March 5th, I will happily share with you all my experiences as well as how my best friend Rachel reacts!
Praise God! See you all later!

I posted a Thread about a week ago, asking about how people are looking forward to the Passion of the Christ, and I got 0 replies! I just couldn't believe it! I am not trying to go down on an ego trip, because after all its not about me, its about Jesus. I'm just curious to why no-body has responded to it to this day. I enjoyed this thread because a lot of this answers I was expecting to get out of the thread I posted were posted here. If anybody want to make some comments about the movie, whether or not they have seen it yet, feel free to click on the link below.

hi everyone, well we saw it last night and i can tell you i am sort of shell shocked right now. i am not sure how i feel. i have a lot of emotions, shame, anger, numbness, hurt. i didnt think i would react that way. i feel so unworthy and i question why he would do it when i know how wretched i am and how people can be in general. i dont want to beleive he suffered like that for me or anyone else. i am sad. it makes any amount of suffering or anything else seem insignifigent and worthless. i need sometime to sort it out. i was too ashamed to even pray today. i kneeled down where i pray and just rocked and cried. i dont think i will ever be the same. i feel like i was there watching the whole thing and last night i couldnt sleep, and when i did i dreamt about it. i dont know what to say. i think i am to emotional right now.

((HUGS)) for I to am still in awe and am very deeply moved still to after seeing it last night, I told everyone in my aviation class about it and almost started crying there and made others almost cry there and most of them are not saved and there all guys, they were moved at what I was just telling them about the movie in saying I cried and they were about to cry right then and there when I told them about the movie, so truely this is a blessing it opens doors to talk about Jesus without even trying in fact they are the ones who bring it up then I just jump in praise God,they were like man I want to go see the movie the passion of christ, the power of God dropped in that room and I could see an angel by the teacher when I was speaking, everytime I speak about this movie at school the power of God falls thick and he shows up very strong, I to am in awe God Bless you he loves you so much..

Often I respond to the messages on the home page, if I respond. If I don't have something to contribute or if someone has already posted the content of what I was going to say I don't post. There are so many posts about the Passion, it's easy to overlook some of them.

Sorry.

righteousness, when you realize all righteousness comes only from Jesus and we simply inherit it be HIS FAITH, then we see the need to "absolutely surrender" to His will, and not our own will.

Dear Janet:
Your post touched me today.
We have over 11,000 members.
We have over 70,000 posts
We have over 300 - 500 new prayers each day.

Our need to be loved. Our fear of rejection. Our desire to be used by God is wraped up in what we do for Jesus and who we are as a person or child of God. How easy we can feel lost or no one cares. But in truth I have found people really do care. I personally let my feelings get in the way. Sometimes I need just to wait and see what the Lord is going to do.

Yes I know we need more prayer warriors to answer prayer. My prayer is that we will have over one million in the future.

There are so many people who spend hours a day trying to answer the prayers. Yet it is still not enough. I just know the Lord is sending us more.

How do you think I feel sometimes when I post a prayer and ask everyone to answer. Only to see almost no one respond. Or to see 500 views and only 50 replies. As the founder and leader of this board I sometimes have the same feelings of rejection. Then I see all the hard word everyone is doing. I can only smile and say thank you Lord for all the people who have chose to partner with us for the task at hand.
I know deep in my heart everyone is doing the best they can.

So please don't
feel like this

But praise the Lord that we are part of one of the largest prayer armies in the nation.

Your links aren't working, StarChilde. And it could be like the "Corrupt Christian Artists" site. People just setting out to bash others. I don't agree with everything in the Catholic church. It's wrong to worship or pray to Mary, and it's wrong to pray to saints.

But God used a donkey in the Bible, so couldn't He use Mel Gibson and these others? And I believe He is going to use this movie to reach people. There is nothing "Catholic" about the movie. It is the crucifixtion of Christ, plain and simple. Every one of the seven sayings that Jesus said on the cross were included here. The only things he added were for poetic lisence -- for instance Jesus praying a Pslam in the garden and the devil trying to tell him not to do this. Also, a few other things like that, that could have happened....But the things Pilate said, Herod said, and so on were pretty much word for word from the Bible. This is the most authentic rendering I have seen.

I was wondering about some of the actors, too. Jim Kvezil was in a movie with Jennifer Lopez, and we know what SHE'S like....but, again, God can use it. Simply because it's TRUTH. The movie is the closest to the truth of any movie I have seen that showed Jesus' death. I also heard that Billy Graham tried to have an unsaved person play every lead role in his movies. John Shephered, in "Caught" was one of the first Christians to play a lead role in a Billy Graham movie. Think about it: How can these people NOT be changed by having played in this movie? As many said, "This will stay with us forever." Even if Mel Gibson is off somehwere (and what do we say about all his violent movies?), God is going to use this. Think of it as God playing a trick on the devil: All these famous actors/actresses used by the devil, and now they are being used to portray the very thing that defeated Satan. If an obscure person had made this movie, it would not be getting so much attention. And though I can't figure out why Mel Gibson would do such a movie, in light of the movies he usually does, I know God will use it.

Anyhow....

I am not defending any of the people in it or their beliefs, I am just saying it shines with the TRUTH, and that's why I like it.

Jerry after you see the movie with the contorversy and all tell me what you think, I saw this and it is life changing the anointing is all over this movie how dare people keep coming against this movie GOD has placed into motion not man, those who see this movie will know all this movie seems to me to be out of the gospels, right at the very beginning of the show BAM FOR BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED whooooo hoooo I about shouted right when I saw that the whole movie is done directly by the Holy Spirit as those who are sensative to the Holy Spirit will see, only emotions on this man playing Jesus face when carrying the cross etc and how he acted could only have been done by listening to the Holy Spirit, and if that is true about the porn thing with the actors good I am glad, he who is without sin cast the first stone, and even if they were in sin while making this film the Holy Spirit was convicting them the whole time and drawing them towards himself more sinners should have been in that film, to bad this movie is the best film EVER MADE AND AWESOME PRAISE YOU JESUS WE LOVE YOU JESUS, truely where there is controversy that is where Jesus is, because in his day when he did things they all came against him so I am proud to stand next to Jesus in making this film ... The whole time through the movie here is what is getting everyone they always show Jesus staring right at you in the eyes almost throughout the whole movie, talk about from the Holy Spirit so he can draw people unto him while they watch the movie..

Jesus anoint this movie with your grace and your fire anointing even more saving all who enter into the movie to watch it..

The Beauty of the Cross

John 10
18 " No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father."

Isaiah 50
6 I gave My back to those who strike Me,
And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard;
I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting.

John 18
22 When He had said this, one of the officers standing nearby struck Jesus, saying, "Is that the way You answer the high priest?"

John 18
23 Jesus answered him, "If I have spoken wrongly, testify of the wrong; but if rightly, why do you strike Me?"

Matthew 26
67 Then they spat in His face and beat Him with their fists; and others slapped Him,

Matthew 27
30 They spat on Him, and took the reed and began to beat Him on the head.

Mark 15
19 They kept beating His head with a reed, and spitting on Him, and kneeling and bowing before Him.

Luke 22
63 Now the men who were holding Jesus in custody were mocking Him and beating Him,
64 and they blindfolded Him and were asking Him, saying, "Prophesy, who is the one who hit You?"

Isaiah 53

But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.

Isaiah 53
10
But the LORD was pleased
To crush Him, putting Him to grief;
If He would render Himself as a guilt offering,

He will prolong His days,
And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand.

John 19
36 For these things came to pass to fulfill the Scripture, "NOT A BONE OF HIM SHALL BE BROKEN."

And like a root out of parched ground;
He has no stately form or majesty
That we should look upon Him,
Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.

Isaiah 52
14
Just as many were astonished at you, My people,
So His appearance was marred more than any man
And His form more than the sons of men.

John 19
16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

Mark 15

John 19

John 19

John 20
12 and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying.

1.) LK 23:34 Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
2.) LK 23:43 Today you shall be with me in paradise.
3.) JH 19:26 Woman, behold your son.
4.) JH 19:27 Behold your mother.
5.) MAT 27:46 Eli, Eli lama sabachthani? That is to say, my God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
6.) JH 19:28 I thirst.
7.) JH 19:28 It is finished.
8.) LK 23:46 Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.

Monica Bellucci (Mary Magdalene) and Claudia Gerini (Pilate's wife), Rosita Celentano (Satan) in this film have all been in Italian porn films. Even Maia Morgenstern, who played the mother of Jesus starred in a movie about Dracula with nudity. Belluci starred in a porn film so revolting that 250 people walked out of it at the Cannes Film festival and 20 had to be revived with oxygen who had fainted.

STARCHILDE, i come to you with all do respect but i am happy to hear that these folks were used inthis film because it only makes it more real to me. are these NOT the same people who HE climbed on that cross for?? did he not sacrifise for all of us?? face it, all of us are guilty. do i deserve to be forgiven?, as i am wretched. i am among the worst that i can think of. do i deserve HIS GRACE?? NO WAY!! Why did he die for me??? my heart aches for the suffering he took for me. the part in that movie that touched me the most was Mary Magdalene on her face at his feet because that is me!!! i have emotions that i can not even grasp right now. even though this is just a movie as my husband keeps pointing out, it has brought me to place i can not even describe to you. my pea brain is still trying to process it. i dont think i will ever be the same......GOD uses crackpots, how else will his light shine through. As my precious baby girl told me the other day "mommy, GOD can use bad for good"AMEN? dont slay the messanger before you get the message. Satan will use anything he can to keep you from the truth, even when it makes sence to you and appears noble.

Most if not all Christians have something in their past that they're not proud of. How wonderful for these actors to be able to participate in a project like this. We know it has already changed many lives including the actors.

It's me again,I saw this tremendous movie for the 2nd time,it just hurt so bad to see what they did to Jesus, and with being God in the flesh,he could have changed courses at any time, but because he loved us he endured far greater pain than any of us could ever think of.Everyone in the theater applauded afterwards and actually a friend of mine from church was hysterically crying afterwards..this movie was so true to life.I am not sure what impact this movie had on my 16 and 18 year old sons..but I hope the Holy Spirit works through them in a divine way.

My dear Christian friends,

I just wanted to share that I saw the Passion of the Christ. The movie was the most beautiful, powerful movie that I have seen in some time. Jesus suffered a lot for our sins. He gave His life for us, what an incredible gift of love that He has displayed. Please if you have not seen the movie yet, go and see it and take a friend. This movie will challenge every Christian to be a better child of our Lord and Saviour. Be blessed today.

Love,
Nina

I watched the Passion last night with my wife and many from my Sunday School Class, and while I have been saved for a long time I had never envisioned Christ suffering as I did last night. I am not sure I have words for how I felt and how I believe so many others felt.

The movie theatre was eerily quite except for the sound of noses sniffing and sounds of muffled crying. People all around me were seen wiping their eyes and I for one found it difficult to leave or talk to anyone after seeing the film. I had heard a lot about the movie going in and felt like I was prepared but not biased about what I expected to see.

What I saw was my savior rising over and over again taking blow after agonizing blow from his torturers, each time rising lovingly to take yet another for me. I like the thief on the cross with Christ deserved what he took for me but he spared me and just I cannot fathom the depth of the love it took for him to do this for me and for you. I hope that I am never the same after having lived this visually with Christ; I guess I always knew what he had done but could not understand to what degree he had given of himself. It (what Christ did) was just so overwhelmingly generous and gracious.

I left the theatre feeling the pain of a thousand sins that I have committed that he took the blame for it was so painful to watch I truly believe this movie has the ability to transform lives because of the love it shows Christ has for us in spite of everything we have done. It has been just under twenty four hours and my heart still aches for my God to have gone threw so much. Oh, how can I ever repay such a debt? How can I ever be worthy of so great a price? God forgive me for what I have done to cause you to bear so much, oh and thank you father for your incomparable love. Words cannot be spoken to adequately describe the love that I saw in what you did for me, my heart can hardly bear knowing. Oh, God I Praise you, Jesus I thank you. Amen.

i cried, then i cried, then i cried even more. although some may say it is just a movie, the message is still there. the most powerful message ever portrayed in a hollywood film. period. i have seen them all. most of them were fairly truthful with the message, but this one is truthful in both the message and the graphics. no candy coated wip marks here folks. it looks i suppose, as close to accurate as a film can portray it, just like it should be. GOD knows the lost are into the visual aspect of things, so HE has let them have it. it is as it was, and it is probably as close as we can currently get graphically, without actually being there. this is hollywoods best movie ever, period, amen, period, amen. thank GOD ALMIGHTY CHRIST is LORD!!!

All I can say is, when I put on enterhisgates and lay quietly listening to the music, I just keep picturing Jesus as depicted in the movie. I prayed in tongues about God using the movie today, as I listened to enterhisgates. I felt such anointing.

I don't understand how God can do what He does. Use unlikely people, acting in an unlikely movie for them, directed by un unlikely movie for them, and touch people so deeply. There is just something totally God all over this movie. I don't know how it happened. But God has a plan.

I am not escusing the sins of the actors/actresses. My view is if they are really living sinful lives, after acting in such a movie, how can they continue? All I know is, this thing is POWERFUL. Normally, I would have the sam concerns as StarChilde. I never thought too deeply about who was in it, and I assumed some of them were Christians. I had heard Mel was a Catholic. I just wanted to see it, because I heard it wasn't to be missed. Now that I've seen it, all I know is: I love it. It won't leave me. I can see it, as though I was really there experiencing Jesus death. It will stay with me forever. So my point is, God is using it, in spite of who's in it, because the story it tells is THE TRUTH. God's Word will not return void, and this movie is FULL of God's Word.

My wife and I saw the movie on Wednesday afternoon this past week - theater was a little over half filled.

Many people were talking before the movie started - we heard laughs, much talk of the days activities this far. However, we noticed that all of the talks and laughs ceased once the movie began.

The thing that I hope that people will not overlook and miss about this movie as a result of all of the violence is the message ... "The Passion of the Christ".

All throughout the movie - you will see and hear references to "do the will of the Father". In one scene, you will notice Jesus "embracing" the cross as He carries it to Golgatha - and when I say embracing - He is holding it so tightly as if He is holding something He loves dearly. As a matter of fact one of the theives that is being crucified with Jesus asks "why do you embrace the cross?"

His passion was to do the will of the Father - how many of us are as passionate about doing the will of the Father?

His passion drove Him to Golgatha - where is your passion driving you?

Again, I pray that all will not only see the suffering - but that all will understand the message. What are you passionate about?

I hope that all of us can be and will be just as passionate about Jesus and doing the will of our Father.

There were many crying once the movie was over - it took my wife and I several hours to compose ourselves after the movie as we were deeply moved by the suffering of Christ that we witnessed - it is nothing like you have been taught in Sunday School - and I don't say that criticizing Sunday School teachers - I say that because we do not have words in our language that could adequately describe the violence that He suffered to provide a way back to the Father for mankind.

The passion that my wife and I have for Christ has been stoked and fanned through this movie and our desire to do the will of the Father has been increased and I hope the same for Christians who see this movie.

I just returned from seeing the movie. I could not control the tears that I cried, they fell freely down my cheeks. This movie was so symbolic in many ways. My husband and I and our 7 and 9 year old daughters were touched beyond anything I can say. The hardest part was watching how they kept kicking Jesus while he was down, showing him absolutely no mercy. I cannot believe how much Jesus suffered for our sins. I knew that he suffered yes, yet I do not believe that any one of us can truly appreciate or comprehend the full extent of that suffering. I was like, Oh my goodness, if Jesus suffered this much how much more can he truly understand how we suffer? I do not know a soul in the human flesh who has suffered as much as he did. I was also very moved by his mothers love for him, as all mothers love their children. This movie was absolutely beautiful, I am still digesting it as we speak, so I am sure I will have more to add later.

i saw the movie last night and was moved beyond my own belief. I never thought of the suffering our Lord and Savior had to endure. I was deeply touched. I still find myself awe struck. THANK YOU GOD FOR THE SON YOU SENT SO THAT SINNERS LIKE ME MIGHT HAVE A RIGHT TO ETERNAL LIFE. I NOW FEEL I HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHY I LOVE YOU SO. THANK YOU GOD!!!

Subject: The Passion of the Christ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Pastor Jerry:

I saw the movie Saturday morning. I got the 10am show and I can say with all
honesty that this movie changed my life. Although I have read the scriptures
on Jesus cruxification, had it preached and even sang songs like, "At the
Cross", it was not until I saw the graphic depiction of what my Saviour went
through for me that my eyes opened.

Each blow, each strike, each taunt, Jesus took for me. As I watched the
movie, I found myself just in my spirit telling them to just stop hitting Him. As
they nailed Him to the cross for my sins, I became so overwhelmed in
emotions. What an incredible gift of love that Jesus gave us all that day
. What a
celebration we can have by His resurrection. One of my favorite scriptures is
when Jesus says to His disciples that He most go so that The Comforter can
come. Now I can truly understand the words to "Holy, Holy, Holy.....God in three
persons, blessed trinity.

Last night as I prayed, I just thanked the Lord for His dying for me. He
died so that I could have life everlasting with Him. He died in such an
excruciating manner knowing all of the sins that I would commit and probably will
still commit in my life because He loves me. I can never truly thank Him enough,
but I can say that before I do anything else in my life I will remember the
graphic suffering that Jesus went through for me. I am much more determined in
my walk with the Lord because He loves me and I love Him.

Yesterday, our message was taken from the Song of Solomon. My preacher
talked about how God so much wants to have an intimate relationship with us,
because He loves us. Now I know just how much.

If you haven't yet, see the movie. I love you and know that you are in my
thoughts and prayers daily.

Love,
Nina

Is anyone going to watch the special on the History Channel tonight about The Passsion of the Christ Movie? They are going to compare bible scripture with each scene in the movie. I just thought it was interesting. I do know that this movie is biblically sound and based as such. It will just be interesting to see what the History Channel uncovers. It starts at 11:00pm EST, tonight. I am planning to watch it.

I watched most of the "History vs. Hollywood" show and I was appalled at the choice of "Christian" representation!

I do not know who the man was because I missed the introduction and I tend to listen to TV more than watch it so I missed the name keys... sorry!

Anyway, where they got a supposed "man of God" who was so faithless and non-believing in the Bible or even in Jesus I have no idea!

Even the Jewish representative was aghast at his lack of faith! To (sort of) quote the Jewish man (J. Segal, I think!) " I'm Jewish and you two are Christian! I loved it! and you can say nothing good about it! You don't even appear to believe your own God!"

The "Christian" man just kept saying you can't trust the Bible because it was nothing more than a "Theological Text" not "Factual Documentation" (Excuse Me?!? ) and it could not be counted on to be "Fact".

And he said it with a straight face in those ever so condescendingly important tones that tell you that you cannot disagree without being thought a fool!

Even J. Segal(?) eventually just sat with disbelief on his face at this "Christian" response! Especially when he started throwing doubt on the Old Testament as well!

By the way... I think J. Segal(?) had an encounter with Jesus at that movie. From the way he was speaking he was just this side of accepting Jesus as Lord and Messiah. I hope he finds someone to tell him the truth about Jesus and who can lead him into a real abiding Faith and Salvation through Jesus!

I hope to see the movie this afternoon with my husband.

=============================
Father, Please save the "Christian" man and woman that appeared on Hist. vs. Holly. program neither one is saved but they believe they are Christians! Father! their own words betray their lack of Jesus in their lives! Holy Spirit! Please bring them to Salvation! However You have to do it! Stop up their mouths when they try to speak the destructive anti God garbage that they were speaking during the show.

Father, I ask that You send someone to J. Segal(?) who can lead him to Jesus as his Messiah and Savior! Holy Spirit, I Release him to You for his Salvation! Please lead him to Jesus!

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i saw it yesterday afternoon. it was a great movie, though not as bad as i've been told (well it was horrible, but i couldn't have been that desensitized when i was a child) it wasn't entirly historically accurate (the Temple was destroyed in a.d.70; Latin was never the lingua franca so Yeshua probably didn't speak it, Greek maybe, but not Latin) but it does give us an idea of Mel's theology. i don't understand one part though: when Yeshua was being flogged, they showed Satan holding a baby, a demonic baby. what do you think he intended by that? we talked about this in class and my TA thinks that the movie compares Mary and the devil a lot as if to say that he is the antithesis of Mary. therefore, she feels that Satan and the baby were a sort of currupt Modonna and child kind of thing. do any of you agree? any other ideas?
God bless,

Has anyone else seen this movie.

I have spoken to about 10 children between the ages of 8 - 11 and they all said they liked the movie.
None of them said it scared them.
All of them wanted to love on Jesus more.
All of them seemed to understand what was going on.

One eight year old boy said it this way.

"Jesus took the spanking for me"

I think that wraps it all up.

I have seen the movie twice. It was awesome in the faith strengthing way. It was very sobering to realize what Jesus went thru all because of my sin and yours. As I hear the comments about Mel Gibson and Jim Cevezil being Catholic I am reminded of this scripture:

John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is for us. (John 9:38-40)

It was great to read the article about the Passion in our local paper written by Ebert of Siskle and Ebert where he basicly preached the gospel.

I think we need not try to pick the movie apart and accept it for what Mel intended it to be: a tool to help people realize the part all of our sin played in his death. As far as the anti-semetic. The Jewish leaders were told by Jesus

“You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.” (John 19:11)

God the Father planned this all along; this is the reason why Jesus was born.

If you haven't seen it yet go see it; you will come away a changed person.

i saw this movie sat. i was sort of speechless.i was raised knowing jesus died for our sins . but this movie kind of lets you know the torture jesus went through.i had many moments i wanted to yell , thats enough, stop.and at times realy had to stop myself. i think everyone should see this.people should stop trying to tear mel gibson apart and read their bible. of course theres a little bit of movie star stuff added to it . but you look past that and see the message .

I took my two oldest daughters who are 9 and 7. My 7 year old Stephanie was crying her eyes out during the movie and I was concerned that maybe I made the wrong decision to take her. But after the movie was over Stephanie declared to us that she had learned; She needed to be kinder to her enemies, because Jesus suffered for us and he loves us very much. I was not at all concerned anymore, because She really got the message of what this is all about. She has been perfectally fine since and I do not see her as being traumatized from watching this movie. My 9 year old has been especially quiet and will just elaborate that she thought the movie was very good.

I had the great honor of seeing "The Passion" last Friday evening. I am not a person who watches violent movies ever. Yet I never once doubted seeing the story of Jesus' passion and death. I watched every scene and never once turned away because my Jesus has never turned away from me.

I needed to see...to understand...even more than I already do about all Jesus did for me and for each of us. As I watched the scourging and began to get angry at the mocking soldiers, I remembered that MY sin was causing those wounds on His back. The site of the blood-stained cobblestones will forever be etched in my memory.

Tears streamed down my cheeks throughout the entire movie until the final scene...then I smiled from ear to ear.

As valuable as this movie may be for evangelism purposes, I believe it is first a wake-up call to Christians. I believe we have not ever understood the depth of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. This movie is a heart-wretching simulation of an even more gruesome reality.

~Vicki

May each viewer come to an even greater understanding of the price Jesus paid for us out of His love.

To be reminded of what He suffered for me, so I will not begrudge suffering for Him, so I will not think I am giving up too much for Him. Of whom much is given, much is required!!! And Jesus gave us SO MUCH! How can we not want to give back to Him?

Just: GO!!! You MUST see it!!!

I saw the movie last Friday night and have been unable to get the images out of my mind -- images of what my Lord suffered to have relationship with me, and bring relationship between the Father and I.

I normally do not go to movies, let alone that violent a movie, but I was sure that I needed to see this movie.

The theater was extremely quiet and most people were not talking even when they were leaving. As we watched, I heard a comment, "Why did they have to keep beating him?" And I realized that it was for me.

I know that I will never be able to take communion again without remembering these images--without seeing what Jesus did to purchase not just my salvation, but my healing, health and wholeness.

It is a powerful movie, and can be used as a tool to introduce people to the Lord Jesus Christ.

As I watched "The Passion" I became keenly aware that Jesus knew His purpose...He had always known His purpose...to live and die and rise again as a payment for the sin of mankind. The Father had instilled that purpose in Jesus' heart. The only other person who knew Jesus' mission was his mother Mary. Even Mary was attempting to get in the way of Jesus' death...the mission of Jesus wasn't what she has in mind for her son.

When God places a spiritual purpose in our heart, it is always going to meet with human opposition. But it CAN'T stop us from what God wants to do in our lives!

I am currently going through a time of training that doesn't make sense to most people. The punch list of negative reasons can get very long. Yet, I know without a shadow of doubt that God is directing me and leading me for some purpose I don't even understand.

If Jesus, even with foreknowledge of the plans of His Father, had tremendous emotional and spiritual battles, we too will face trials and tribulation carrying our God's plans in our lives.

After seeing "The Passion" there is a peace in my spirit to follow God's leading. I have reconcilled myself to follow God's plan not man's...!!

I shed a tear at the scene when Mary rushed to help him when he fell with the flashback of him falling as a little boy. This movie didn't surprise me for the most part. I hope its not because I don't have enough heart for Jesus. I'm hoping its because I'm brave. I already knew the truth about the torment Jesus went through! I've read that part of the bible and know the torment he suffered for our sins. It was what I expected. The movie theater was quiet for the most part. I heard a little sniffling towards the end from one or two people, after he had been taken down fro the cross. Rachel gasped a few times and looked away. I just sat and stared. I do feel unworthy and underserving especially due too the guilt I am experiencing due to the movie not having bothered me. I hope nothing's wrong with me. Now I feel like I no longer belong as part of God's family or that I'm not really a true follower of Jesus. I know it was what Jesus had to do for us so we wouldn't go to hell. Isn't this just wonderful.
Isn't this what we have been praying for
Isn't this what God's wants.

A Christian movie in the secular market sold out and millions rushing to see it. Thousands are turning back to God. Thousands are wanting to repent for their sins. Thousands are being delivered and healed.

MY MY MY such problems I pray last forever.

Isn't this just wonderful the sinners are beating us to a Christian movie.

Will anyone give a shout of JOY to the Lord for what he has done.

I have to say that for years this has been what my vision of the trials of Christ during this time was like. I am so glad Mel Gibson made this movie to show just what He had to endure for us. This movie does visually what is so hard to get across verbally, you can tell someone how Jesus suffered but seeing it really drives it home. I know that as I watched it all I could think about was that everything He endured was because of me, and that I hope many more people will get to see it so they can understand that very same thing. It is so hard to truely appreciate the gift which was given to us, and to know that it is really a gift and not a reward for some great act we can do is even more amazing.

Jerry and Jan;
Yes it has been a long time but the Holy Spirit has really been working on me; showing me such simple things that I never even thought about! Praise God!!!!!
I have tried for a long time to get my oldest daughter Angela to church with me, but there was always a reason for her not going. So I ask her to go see "The Passion" with me and she jumped at the chance ,we went the same night!

Jerry, what a powerful movie! I have read in the bible many times where they crucified Christ, beat him and nailed him on the cross,---that he died for our sins, but it never entered my mind the blood, pain and suffering, the forgiveness of Jesus, I knew of it of course, but I never put the two things together!

Jerry, I cried and prayed through the whole movie, didn't care who saw or heard me and do you know what? So was my daughter and every one around us! Wise cracking teenagers, young adults, middle age and us oldies! Everyone was touched and subdewed as we left the "awakening", or the movie house.

My life has been changed, I need to be stronger so I stand up for my Lord any time its called for!
Also, my daughter was touched, she said there would be some changes in her life! Praise God for that!
I love you all, and really watch me grow!

Oh Marni:

You have no idea how much this blesses me.
What must it have been like to come face to face with a suffering Jesus.
Few people really have ever understood what Jesus has done for us.

Thank you so much for sharing

REVIVAL IS SWEEPING THE LAND

My husband Brian who was struggling with his faith for years and was even confused in some areas of his faith was saved 2 nights after seeing this movie!!! We talked about this movie a couple of days afterwards, and I quickly could see that my husband was profoundly changed by what he witnessed. I convinced him on March 2nd at 2:55 AM to say the prayer for salvation on this site, he then confessed The Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior!!! I was praising Jesus, and congratulated Brian for being born again. I marked this on my calander as I want to celebrate this date every year!!! Words cannot convey how powerful the conviction this movie has on the soul. Many lives are going to be transformed to the glory of Jesus. I Love you Jesus, Thank-you for loving your children so much!!!

"I would highly recommend that anyone over the age of ten go see "The Passion". Jew, Muslim, Christian, Atheist. It is so much as the movie "Titanic" was. We all knew the story, we all know the ending. But until we saw it, we never knew the fear, the loss, the bleakness. We church-goers have a common creed that states "He was crucified, died, and was buried." Pretty little picture. "The Passion" shows the intensity of sacrifice. Leaving the theater, I had to ask myself, "Could I do that? To save my children? My closest friends? The murder? The drunk in the city jail? The adulterer? The fathers who abandon their children? In a noble moment, I can say yes. For my children, my mother, my friends. But even then, I'm not sure. That's what Mr. Gibson wanted to show, that it is the intensity of pure love that will save us, nothing else. I went with the man I love, the man I had hoped to marry. Walking out, I was crying and his remark was "It's only a movie." And that's when I knew he didn't have a clue. How many people on your street, block, town, state, country, have no clue as to the intensity of God's love for us? If even a few people at a time started thinking that way, the world would change."

Movie focus.....The Passion of Christ
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16
1 John 3:1..Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
John 13:34.... A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
1 Peter 2:24.....Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Hebrew 10:19...Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
1 John 1:7.....But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 Corinthians 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 1 Corinthians 11:25...
After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.
1 Corinthians 11:26..For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

Mar 15:37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
Mar 15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.Luk 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.Jhn 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Mat 27:27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band [of soldiers]. Mat 27:28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. Mat 27:29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put [it] upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! Mat 27:30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. Mat 27:31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify [him}.

the movie did not have too much on Jesus' resurrection....But please read Matthew 28, Mark 16, also John 20....

The movie meant alot to me....Cause Jesus means so much to me...i thank God for His love for us....I was already prepared for the movie...except i had forgotten to take my napkin...I took my 8 yr old daughter..as she was watching the movie....i believe she was feeling what Jesus was going through...she acted as if they slapped her....and etc...She did get a littel scared..cause she mentioned it...but i know what parts made her scared......I am sure she felt the Passion of Christ ....I sure did...well I did cry much...i even asked the Lord to remove whatever that was not of Him out of me right there in the movie....I did not like what Jesus went through...it hurted me....But I am so glad He did!!! He did it for us...He Chosed to do this for us....
I looked at how Judas betrayed Jesus.....Are we betraying Jesus or will You betray Jesus? ..I looked at how peter denied Jesus 3 times....what about you? What about us will? I looked at how satan used people.....We have no business letting satan use us... Satan is not worthy of my time and relationship...I used to be our there in the world.....Jesus brought me out..one day he touched me and filled me with the Holy Ghost...I am no longer the same.....My citizenship is in heaven....I am not of this world.....Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Mat 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. well I am closing out for now.....i could say much.......the verses you see..it what was on my heart to post....Jesus loves us so much.......Jesus loves us so much.......We can show Him we love Him by loving one another and obeying Him.....remember that satan comes to.....Jhn 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly...Jesus have come that we may have life, and have it abundantly... Read Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13....and you pray to the Father in Jesus name....thanks for letting me share..Jesus loves you and so do !!...Your sister in Christ Catina

I am continually amazed at people's reaction to "the violence" and "the horror" they see in the movie. Attending various church passion plays and the like, we've all become accustomed to sitting in a comfortable church and seeing a nice, clean Jesus wearing a nice, clean, white robe carrying a prop cross that weighs just a few pounds, and that's it.

This movie certainly changed all that and added a much-needed new perspective of realism to the crucifixion. Now that people see and hear, in glorious color, just how much Jesus did suffer, I think they will have a personal revival; if not that, at least start thinking about Jesus Christ and Christianity.

For me, the most horrific part of the movie was seeing the blind blood lust in the eyes of the Roman soldiers, realizing how easily "mans' inhumanity to man" can take place and escalate. I love the movie and thank God for Mel Gibson's courage and passion in producing and directing it. I plan to see it again with my best friend next week.

Wow! This movie is totally awesome. It is well acted, truthful and made me cry throughout its entirety. It's life changing, and I thank God for using Mel Gibson to create such a inspirational work. All of the actors are excellent, and you can feel God's Spirit touching you as you view the movie. Way to go Mel! Finally, something out there to reach out to everyone in a positive, non threatening atmosphere. God has used the bad press about this film to promote it further. God works all things for the good. AMEN!

I am a real visual learner. Seeing the Passion really put what Jesus did for me into perspective. I had no idea the amount of suffering. No one has ever loved me as much as Jesus. Every Christian needs to see this movie, and every Christian needs to encourage non-believers to see this movie. It changed my prayer life. Jesus, I love you!

Many people need to realize that this was so simple beating.....He did it for us..I read it in the Bible about what Jesus sis,, but to see it with the eyes...in a movie (the Passion of Christ)...I am drawing closer to the Lord......I had made up in my mind that I was not going to turn away from God anymore.....3 yrs ago...looking at this movie...I got a push ...to keep pressing on in HIM......As I watched His own people turn against Him it hurted....As I watched mary wept...I wept also.....As I the deep cuts in the skin, the bruises, the blood dripping from His body...O Jesus thank You.....as I looked at them make Jesus carry His own cross....I really wished I could have helped.......My daughter was taking up for Jesus ,,,,saying leave Him alone ......leave Him alone.....Leave Jesus alone!!.....I tried to stop crying at times...but could not......My hand started trembling...I was feeling the presence of the Lord...AWESOME....I wanted to stand up before everyone and say I hope you all are not here ...just to be Here....I hope you all are taking what Jesus did for us very serious.....I heard some at the movie call on Jesus... I heard a few laughs..I did not think anything was funny at all......It was quiet most of the time..besides hearing popcorn smacking and a baby crying a little....But i stayed Focused on what I went to see it for....after the movie was open...many did not leave......they was weeping even walking out...I could not leave out...finally I did ...and was still thinking about OUR SAVIOR, OUR HEALER, OUR DELIVER ..thank You Jesus....thank You Jesus.....Hallelujah.....no one or nothing can seperate me from the Love of God........I want more of Him ......please if you do not have Jesus ...get Him.....He is knocking..will you let Him in?

Acts 20:21
I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.

Matthew 27:3-6

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, *repented* himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

John 15:12-17

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command:

Love each other.

Dewhart:

Did you see the movie?

Posted by: wejamforthelamb

I had talked to a man who saw the , sneak preview, out in Vegas, and hersaid that the movie was way too graphic. Unfortunately, this person has not been saved, & I continue to pray for his salvation, but I told him, what they did to my Lord, Jesus, FOR MY SINS, was graphic & and yes he was tortured, it was definately not a "walk in the park". So when I saw the movie, I was deeply touched, I already knew the extent of this sacrifice for us. I felt it was "horrifically accurate", and I take my hat off to Mel Gibson for his courage to portray the crucifixtion the way it was for my Lord. To downplay it would have been an insult to God, and misleading to anyone who saw it. Praise God for the way this movie is touching those who see it.
God Bless Ya'll

THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST MOVIE The movie was so much more powerful then I thought it would be...I took my 14 year old grand-daughter and there was not a dry eye in the place...this movie woke me up to the real passion Yahshua had and has for me and for his chosen ones...I support Mel Gibson 100% he did a brillrant job.
I believe that if this movie didn't touch the lives of everyone who saw it,then...they are truly blinded.
Yawveh said that good will seem evil and evil will seem good and to the people of the world who think this movie is bad, then they need to get ahold of Yawveh's word and start reading it...I believe He's coming very soon and we all need to be ready...are you? This movie was predestined before any of us was ever
thought of. " EXCELLENT WORK MEL GIBSON"

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I intend to over the next day or two. I've watched the video clips and also seen Mel Gibson's interview on the Bill O'Reilly show -- WOW!!! I can't wait to see it, even though I know I will likely be overwhelmed... I think it would be a wonderful idea for Jerry to send all of the postings about this movie to Mel Gibson!

I saw the movie with my husband. the message was very powerful. It truly made me realize how much we are loved for Jesus to suffer and die on the cross for our sins.I went to church that nite after the movie. My brother has read his bible 3 times after seeing the movie. Several people were crying in the movie theater. It affects everyone who sees it and makes me realize how trivial alot of things in our lives are and what is really important. Melanie7

Mel, and all involved, Thank you so much for this film, it was an amazing move of God through you. This movie is for all to see. Whos side are we on. Who are we going to serve. After seeing this movie I begain to see the true sacrafice of our lord. How much he loves us, I see his face before me in all I do, beaten and bloodied, for my transgressions. Thank you for not suppressing the holy spirit and for allowing this movie to breathe through you, God bless you Mel, see you in paradise. Tina

"The Passion of the Christ" was the most difficult thing I've ever watched, and has affected me more deeply, more profoundly than any movie ever has or probably ever will. I suppose that the biggest thing that I came away with is an even deeper love for my Savior. It broke my heart. It made me ashamed of myself because of the things that I complain about and think of as hardships. I realize that I really don't know what 'hard' is, thanks to Jesus. It made me realize what is truly important. It has made me wake up every day and thank God and ask Him "Father, how can I serve You today," instead of just asking for help and miracles for myself. It's made a difference in the way I look at other people, even the 'not so nice' difficult ones and especially the poor, outcast, and downtrodden. I want to take a little extra time for them, I want them to see the God that is living on the inside of me. You never know who it might be. Remember when Jesus said," For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to Me." Then the righteous would answer Him asking "When did we do these things for You?" and Jesus answered saying "Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to Me."

I left this movie wanting to do something for the One who has done so much for me, but what could a human being possibly do for the Most High God? The answer is in that scripture.

In short, it has further changed my life. During the movie, the theater was so quiet. All you could hear were occasional gasps and sniffles. At one point, I heard a low, soft sobbing, and it took me a minute to realize that it was coming from me. After, some people got up and immediately left, very quietly. Some of us just had to sit there for a few minutes. I felt like I had travelled back 2000 years and had actually seen it for myself. A week has passed and I am still processing thoughts and emotions.

Mr. Gibson has made a profound impact on our culture and society with this movie. I think it will live on to reach many people for God. I believe that God has been behind him in the making of this movie because it is just too deep and real to have come from just a man. It's affect to me is similiar to that of Handel's Messiah, which I also believe was inspired by God Himself.

I encourage everyone who hasn't seen it to do so, but be prepared. Pray before and after. Pray for the others watching it. This isn't the sweet little Garden of Gesthemane scene with a 5 minute crucifxion. It is harsh, brutal, reality, yet not gratuitous violence. For once, this is a violence I think we need to see and understand.

Love,
Kathy

THE SON OF PERDITION
Means the Son of Satan
Is Judas Iscariot the Son of Perdition the bible says he is?
Did Judas go to hell, you read the verses below and tell me.

JOHN 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
PERDITION - Strong's Greek word 684- apoleia- ruin or loss,; from 622- apollumi- destroy fully; note: 623 Apolluon- the destroyer, Apollyon, ie Satan.
The word of God also says he is LOST, he is the only one Jesus LOST

MATTHEW 10:2-4 The names of the twelve apostles are these: first Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Phillip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus whose surname was Thaddeus; Simon the Canaanite, and
Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him.

MATTHEW 19:25,26 When the disciples heard this they were greatly astonished, saying, "Who can be saved?" But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man shall sit on His glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones , judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
PSA 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up [his] heel against me.

JOHN 6:66-71 After this many of His disciples drew back and no longer went about with Him. Jesus said to the twelve, "Will you also go away?" Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life; and we have believed, and have come to know that you are the Holy One of God." Jesus answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil [Strong's Greek word 1228 - diabolos -false accuser]. He spoke of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was to betray Him.

JOHN 13:8-30 Peter said to Him, "You shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part in me." Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!" Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but he is clean all over; and you are clean, but not all of you." For He knew who was to betray Him; that was why He said, "You are not all clean."........
When Jesus had thus spoken, He was troubled in spirit, and testified, "Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me." The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom He spoke. One of His disciples, who Jesus loved, was lying close to the breast of Jesus; so Simon Peter beckoned to him and said, "Tell us who it is of whom He speaks." So lying thus, close to the breast of Jesus, he said to Him, "Lord, who is it?" Jesus answered, "It is he to whom I shall give this morsel when I have dipped it." So when He had dipped the morsel, He gave it to Judas the son of Simon Iscariot.
Then, after the morsel, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly." ......

Satan entered him
LUKE 22:1-4 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew near, which is called the Passover. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to put Jesus to death; for they feared the people.
Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve; he went away and conferred with the chief priests and the captains how he might betray Him to them.

MATTHEW 26:14-16 Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, "What will you give me if I deliver Him to you?" and they paid him thirty pieces of silver. And from that moment sought an opportunity to betray Him.

MATTHEW 10:2-8 The names of the twelve apostles are these: first Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Phillip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus; Simon the Canaanite, and
Judas Iscariot who betrayed Him.

MATTHEW 27:1-5 When morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put Him to death; and they bound Him and led Him away and delivered Him to Pilate the governor. When Judas, His betrayer, saw that He was condemned, he repented. and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, saying, "I have sinned in betraying innocent blood." They said, "What is that to us? See to it yourself." And throwing down the pieces of silver in the temple, he departed; and he went and hanged himself.

ACTS 1:16-18 "Brethren, the scriptures had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David, concerning Judas who was guide to those who arrested Jesus. For he was numbered among us, and was allotted his share in this ministry. Now this man bought a field with the rewards of his wickedness; and falling headlong he burst open in the middle and his bowels gushed out.

PSA 55:23 But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

And what did you think of the movie young man." the little boy with sandy
blond hair put his hand to his mouth and said nothing for about 10 seconds. He
them look up at me with the biggest smile. He said: "Pastor Jerry, Jesus took
all my spankings for me. I think he took to many. I haven't been that bad yet.
I wanted them to stop hurting Him but I knew he did it for me."

I UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL, BUT DON'T FIGHT IT. WHEN I WAS YOUR AGE, I WANTED TO KNOW GOD, BUT DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FIND HIM. ONE DAY IN MY ROOM, I JUST ASKED GOD TO PLEASE LET ME KNOW HIM. THEN I FELT THIS FEELING I HAD NEVER FELT BEFORE. IT WAS AN ACTUAL PHYSICAL FEELING AND THE BEST WAY I CAN THINK OF TO DESCRIBE IT IS TO SAY THAT IT FELT LIKE A FEATHER TICKLING MY HEART. I KNOW THAT SOUNDS SILLY, BUT THAT IS THE CLOSEST I CAN COME TO DESCRIBING IT. I GOT SCARED AND IT WAS AS IF A DOOR JUST SLAMMED. I FELT SO UNSETTLED AND UNHAPPY AFTER THAT. IT WAS ANOTHER 10 YEARS BEFORE I WAS SAVED AND FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND IT WAS THEN THAT I REALIZED WHAT THAT FEELING WAS THAT I HAD BEEN SO SCARED OF YEARS AGO.

TRUST GOD, HE IS NOT GOING TO SEND ANYTHING BAD TO YOU. THAT FEAR YOUR FEELING IS YOUR NATURAL SELF NOT WANTING TO GIVE UP CONTROL. BUT WHEN YOU DO, IT IS THE MOST WONDERFUL THING, THE PEACE AND SATISFACTION ARE UNIMAGINABLE ON THIS EARTH. AND YOU WILL HAVE A COUNSELOR, COMFORTER, HELPER LIVING RIGHT ON THE INSIDE OF YOU. YOU WILL NEVER BE ALONE AGAIN. ISN'T THAT WONDERFUL?

I AM PRAYING FOR YOU, YOU JUST KEEP PRESSING IN AFTER GOD.
