prayer for strength to resist

Please help me pray for strength. I have smoked for 30 yrs. I am convinced smoking is a sin & I want so desperately to break this addiction. My husband has no desire to stop (won't even go outside to smoke), this is making it so much harder for me.

In our Bible study recently, the instructor said - when you smoke, buy cigarettes, etc. say I hate cigarettes, the Lord is delivering me from smoking, etc. (state things as though they were). People have been delivered - it may take several weeks. Just be diligent, SPEAK God's word such as -

Prov.15:23
The words that come from my mouth will bring me joy.

I John 2:14 says, “I have written unto you young men, because you are strong, and the Word of God abides in you, and you are victorious over the evil one.” You're strong when the Word of God abides in you. John 15:7 says, “If you abide in Me, my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you.” God takes that Word that you have abiding in you, and then He has something to work with.
