Insert Pictures into threads

There are now 2 ways of inserting images into your threads.
The first is using the "Manage Attachments" which is below this input box. You can click that button and a popup box will show up giving you the option of surfing your computer for pictures to insert.

The second way is brand new, and I'm sure everyone is going to love it.
In order to use it you must click on the "User Cp" button above, in the forum navigation area. Then select "Modify options". On that page scroll to the bottom and there is an area to choose the type of editor you like to use in order to post messages. Choose the 2nd option in the dropdown. For right now, the enhanced wysiwig editor does not work with this new system. After you select that go ahead and hit submit.

Now when you goto enter a post, in this text box area, next to the smilies on the right is a new box called "My Photo's". Click on the "Select" text.
A popup box will come up that shows all of your photo's in your members photo gallery. You can click on the thumbnail of the picture you would like to insert, and it will be automatically added to your post. You will see the image code inserted into the post. To put the picture in the middle of text that you are typing, simply type the text, then when you are ready for an image to show up, click the photo's popup box and select your picture. It will be inserted at that point of your post. Then finish typing out your post and submit it. The picture(s) will be in there.

Once again we have taken a major step to making these forums easier to use. I sure hope everyone enjoys this new system. I am going to attach a couple of pictures to this post that give you an idea of how to turn on the right editor.

Yeah, it is kinda easy to use once you have done it once.
As big as personal picture galleries are on sites like yahoo and msn, I've been trying to come up with tools to make it just as easy and popular to use here. This is all coming together quite nicelly as an extremelly powerfull sytem now.

My polar bear pic is not .gif. Is that why it doesn't come up in my pics to choose from to put in a post? I got that pic off a website, so is there a way to save it to a .gif file? I would have to find that website agains and test it, I guess.

If it's not a .jpg, .jpeg, or .gif it will not upload. As to software to change the extension, I personally use photoshop, though it's quite expensive. I am not sure of any freeware programs as I have never had to look for one before. You would have to find a program that will let you save the picture as either a jpg or gif to use it here.
