When encouraging teens to behavior themselves the way Christians should, some say think that you should say - If Jesus is sitting with you, can you have sex with that person, say what you're saying, watch that movie, get angry, curse, abuse that person - physically, verbally, etc. Other people say that you would make them paranoid. What's your opinion?

It can make you paranoid. But it can also be helpful.

I think you should be able to give them examples of what and why they should not do certain things, be prepared to show them in the Bible. Also show them people who went through things that occur now, murder, adultery, prostitution etc. I think if you are honest with teens, don't sugar coat it, because that's what is getting us into the mess we're in now with our teens. Be real. Show them tangible evidence of how there behavior should be and be a role model yourself, share testimonies etc, because they think we never went through what they are going through.

Well if you are telling them to think about Jesus sitting with them you are telling them the truth because weither or not they realize it, Jesus IS right there with them when they do the things they do. Maybe it is a little scarey, but it should be. It people thought there was always a police officer following them few would speed or run a redlight on purpose and they would be more aware of the way they are driving instead of just flying down the road not giving it a second thought.
