OK, they are learning now that it takes a pig four hours to digest its food completely. They are scavengers, and canabalistic. They eat trash and decaying matter. When I eat a cleaned and dressed pig, I am actually eating what they ate just four hours before they died. The Word of God calls them unclean.....Now I know more about why God said so. I heard this on the radio.
We might choose to ask God to bless our enemies. Whatever it takes to bring them closer to Him. Jacob wrestled with an angel for a blessing. He received a heavenly blessing and also an earthly one - thank God on earth it echoes. A hurtful body part makes us ask God "why?" more often, and makes us talk things over with Him more, believe it. (* Please note: We don't pick the blessing, God does. Also, don't assume the blessing they receive is a bad thing. Our heart has to be sincere. I really believe that when we pray for someone else to receive a blessing, God blesses us, too.*)
When we are praying to God for the same thing over and over, if God is not answering our prayer, we need to change the prayer and find one He will honor.
I have decided to follow my Grandmother's example and ask someone in a new Bible Study class to share what they've learned with me, then not try to add anything to what they've learned, just get their thoughts about it. Actually, this man is in jail, and a book called The Purpose Driven Life has caused new sparks to go through the prison system, so I want to help, not hurt. I heard a man (or the Spirit of God through a man) say one time that we are just supposed to catch the "fish". God is the One who cleans them up.
Another thing that just popped into my head is not to mix fibers in your clothing. Wear all wool, or all cotton, or all linen. Wonder what would happen if we did that? Maybe our allergies would go away. Maybe obesity would become a thing of the past. Maybe we wouldn't need deodorant anymore.....who knows? We might try this and see what happens. I think I read somewhere in the Old Testament that we are not supposed to mix fibers. This is so exciting!
I just thought these would be a fun thing to post on this rainy Saturday, here in Texas.
