Something on this board is going on I thought Christianity was all about unity and humility and yielding to the Holy Spirit!!!

Those who are on this board and you know who you are need to work out with that someone in what you are holding against them, and do as Jesus would do forgive, and do not cast any stones but lift each other up in prayer.. Let us come together in UNITY not DISUNITY and lets see Jesus prayer for unity come to pass before are eyes God Bless.. (yes I redid some of what I said because some of what I said was in the flesh)

"I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me" (Jn. 17:20-23).

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Certainly all of us would agree that God designed Christianity for the purpose of bringing harmony and openness between men and God and between men and their fellowmen. It is in that kind of unity that man himself is most benefited and God is most honored.

The entire Bible gives witness to this grand purpose for unity. Only when we enjoy a unity with God and fellowman and share with each other a oneness of faith and love will God be honored the way He deserves and man be happy the way God intends.

Because we believe this, we are hurt when we see the sad divisions that exist among us. These divisions stand opposed to the purpose God had in mind for His family. The divisions draw people apart from one another and encourage each to speak against the other.

UNITY IS COMMANDED:

A. Christians are to be of the same mind (2 Cor. 13:11; Rom. 15:5-6.

B. We should speak the same thing (1 Cor. 1:10).

C. God expects the church to be doctrinally united (Eph. 4:4-6).

D. Jesus prayed for unity (John 17:20-23). He says nothing about "unity" about in diversity.”

E. The body is to be united (1 Cor. 12:13-25). Each member of the body of Christ is to use their talents and abilities in the service of God.

F. Christians should be of one accord and walk by the same rule (Phil. 3:16). IT DOES MATTER WHAT ONE BELIEVES.

G. Christianity is oneness of faith (Eph. 4:13-16). Unity made possible by faith and spiritual knowledge. Striving for maturity, which does not allow one to be led astray by false doctrine.

H. We have the example of the New Testament Church continuing in the apostles’ teaching (Acts 2:41-42).

I. Unity through humility (Phil. 2:2).

THINGS THAT CAUSE DISUNITY:

A. False teachers (******. 3:10; 2 John 9-11).

B. Wresting the scriptures – “those who twist or pervert scriptures from their intended purpose in order to make them teach matters never intended by the sacred writers” – Guy N. Woods – (2 Peter 3:16-17).

C. A carnal (fleshly) mind (1 Cor. 3:3).

D. A divided house (Matt. 12:22-30). Jesus says, “He who is not with Me, is against Me.”

We need to learn to recognize the reasons why and the ways of how you can be united with one another. Put aside silly personal conflicts and enjoy the greatness of being in Christ with each other! Time in the present and eternity is too precious to waste in strife and ill-feelings with one another!
