attempts to censure, impeach and ultimately destroy our President
are in reality only putting our troops and our nation at greater
risk.

Beginning Monday, July 6, Grassfire will mount an aggressive
grassroots campaign that includes:

+ + Petition deliveries to those elected officials identified
as leaders in the campaign to undermine the President,

+ + Calls to Senators urging them to publicly oppose these
public attacks,

+ + Calls, e-mails to the White House expressing support
and birthday wishes to President Bush.


Jerena, We are hoping for 100% participation from
everyone who supports our President. That's why in the days

Father I pray for President Bush, his wife Laura and their entire family. I pray for renewed faith, direction and wisdom. I pray for discernment over policies, actions and over the words of others. Help them to know what is true and what is false and to respond in strength and sureness. Father, I come into Your Oval Office to say that I am here to stand in the gap for my president and his wife today and any day that I am needed. In the Name of Jesus I ask that You give him the Favor of David, Solomon, Paul and Jesus as he leads this nations. I ask that You give him the same kind of protection that You gave the Isrealites as they crossed through the Red Sea with death on every side and safety as they followed Your lead! If we agree as to touching ANYTHING..."I will do it," says the Lord.
Father God, we praise you for this brother of ours that you have put in the White House. Lord, we pray that he will know that we care for him and that we pray for him, and that honor him for doing this work of government. Lord, he leads this nation. Always out front on the battleground (though not physically), but leading the warriors as they care and protect this land. He seeks you wisdom and your guidance. Lord give him Your Divine Guidance every moment of every day. Show him what is coming before it happens that he can move to avert disaster, so that he can counter the complaints, so that he will know his friends and loyal supporters from the enemy who seeks to destroy him. Father, I claim the Words of Isaiah 54:17b that no weapon formed against him will prosper, and in the Name of Christ Jesus we condemn every tongue that rises against him in judgement.
The words of this judgement will be like the bird that never lit. In fact we pray that the bird will migrate to another land and never return. Father, I pray that the President will find time to Pray. Lord, allocate an undisturbed time, in an private place for him to commune with you. Show yourself to him in all your glory. Whisper the words of hope to his heart and to his ears. Cause him to have the gift of knowledge that he will know what is right in your sight, and what will lead this country into all righteousness.
Father, turn the hearts of leaders of others nations to him. Let the hearts of Americans be turned toward him with great respect, honor, and humility. Father, prove him right. Prove that this land is a land who's God is the Lord!
Show him that YOU are present in this Nation, and that you will deliver us from the evil that seeks to destroy us. America and her citizens need to repent. We as Christians need to repent, and America is living in sin, denying the very existance of You, and failing to see their evil. Lord, show them the evil they are doing. Cause Shame to fall on America for the pornography that is rampant, for the unborn children who are murdered before they even have a chance to live....These are the children YOU knit together in their Mother's Womb. Father, America has much to repent for. Help her to see the sin in her life and fall before You seeking forgiveness. Come Fill America Lord. No matter how we feel personally about the president, I do believe we should pray for him, because he is our leader. In regards to the movie and the upcoming election, I ask that all Christions, pray and allow the Holy Spirit to lead them in their decisions.

Father, protect our country. Bless our leaders with good judgment and discernment. Please guide our country and put a leader in office that is truly after your own heart. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Dear God, our Father, Who hears prayers, searches all hearts, understands the imaginations of our thoughts, and forgives sins -- not retaining anger forever, but delights in mercy, please now have mercy upon us and hear our praying. Blessed and holy is Your name.
Please give President Bush wisdom as he seeks Your leadership in the many tough decisions as the country's principal leader and our commander in chief, along with discernment in campaigning for reelection. As car bombings and other insurgent attacks rise again to pre-turnover levels, pray for the safety and protection of our troops and of those Americans working to rebuild Iraq through private industry. Pray that insurgents will be prohibited from further attacks and kidnappings, bringing peace and security to the nation of Iraq.
Give thanks for the hard work of the members of the 9-11 Commission, praying that their findings will help all those responsible for keeping America safe. Pray that God will guide the President, Congress and others with His wisdom as they consider possible changes to the way America gathers, distributes and uses intelligence....
Pray for the troops who continue to serve the nation around the world, many having been asked to extend their tour of duty beyond original expectations. Pray for them to be encouraged as they serve and to continue to know the value and nobility of their service to the country.

Indeed it will not hurt to keep being reminded of what our military personnel are enduring in our behalf and how much we need to pray for them. I think so much about what they and their families are going through and how their lives are being affected -- some so severely injured physically and probably all emotionally. Then particularly there are those who have died, and families are grieving. How much they all need to know we are thankful and care!

PRESIDENTIAL PRAYER REQUESTS FOR August 5, 2004
Pray for Director Tom Ridge and the Department of Homeland Security as they respond to serious new threats against the financial services sector in New York City, Northern New Jersey and Washington, D.C. With the security threat level raised to orange in those specific areas, and with the governors, mayors, and homeland security advisors and local security personnel in the affected locations on alert, pray for the safety of every person involved, and pray that any plots being formed will be foiled. Pray for vigilance on the part of all.
As the President and his team face an enemy that is sophisticated, patient, disciplined and lethal (words from the 9/11 Commission Report) pray that the wisdom of God which is above all powers and principalities will overrule the most cunning plans of America's enemies.
Pray for the President and his team as they consider the newly announced changes to America's intelligence-gathering abilities. Pray for wisdom in the choice of a new National Intelligence Director to coordinate the nation's 15 intelligence gathering agencies.

....Jonathan is back home safe and sound and bringing truth to those who will listen! He tells of the great and ongoing successes in Iraq and the fact that we are indeed winning this war, in spite of those who wish our nation ill.
Sean returned to the states last week and is currently on leave at home in North Carolina. He is having nightmares about near-death misses in helicopters in Iraq the last 16 months he was deployed there. Pray that he will be strengthened in his faith and will work through these traumatic episodes he is encountering. Thanks to each who prayed for my nephew....

Put legions of angels around him, in Jesus' Name. Set a pillar of fire around him and set him in a tall, high tower. Guard his left side and his back, Lord. Let no weapon form against him. PRESIDENTIAL PRAYER REQUESTS FOR MARCH 3, 2005 (EXCERPT)

As the President and his Faith Based Community Iinitiatives Director, Jim Towey work to strengthen the support for and effectiveness of faith-based efforts in our communities, pray that they will succeed and that many Americans in need of help and healing will receive it through these important efforts.

Pray for Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice who continues to meet with foreign leaders to further strengthen our relationships with them. As she has called for the end of foreign interference in Lebanon and for the strengthening of defense by Palestinians, pray that these efforts will succeed and that she will be strengthened and guided in her efforts.

As the President has recently hosted the nation's governors at the White House, pray that they will seek God's guidance and righteousness as they lead their states. Pray for them and their teams as they seek to serve their constituents wisely and well.

Pray for President and Mrs. Bush as they host Their Majesties King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway for lunch on March 7 and Romanian President Traian Basescu on March 9. These meetings will address the effort to spread democracy and freedom in the world as well as resolving conflict in Sudan, Sri Lanka and elsewhere.

Lord, I stand in the gap for President Geroge W. Bush. Give him wisdom, favor, peace, protection, guidance and all things he needs to his job well. Father, I pray that he is vindicated in all ways. I pray, truly, as has been predicted/prophesied, he will be noted in history as one of the greatest presidents of all time. Raise up a Christian predecessor, who will have as strong a Christian witness as he does. I heard him saying, today, that he is against stem cell research, that it goes against his personal principles. Thank You for his courage! Thank You that he expresses his convictions. He said, too, that China must allow religous freedom and he included "evangelical Christians"! Thank You that he mentioned that. I pray he will say and do more to help Chinese Christians! Lord, I thank You for putting President Bush in office. I heard today that he was slandered in public by another leader recently. I thank You for leading him to overcome evil with good. Continue to be with him and bless him with every good thing. Cause the anointing that You have put upon him to increase because he has chosen Your way in the face of evil. Put wisdom on his tongue and give comfort to his heart.

I pray that the people will stay in support of our President, and will see the attacks for what they are....spiritual attacks. Let us not be swayed by what the media wants us to believe, but to use the discernment available through Your Word for what we should do to support President Bush. Help us to be united so we won't be divided.

Regime change had been U.S. policy since October 31, 1998, when President Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act. It was not a state secret. On February 12, 2002, Colin Powell stated that "With respect to Iraq, it has long been, for several years now, a policy of the United States government that regime change would be in the best interests of the region, the best interests of the Iraqi people. And we are looking at a variety of options that would bring that about." The policy had bipartisan support; in June 2002 Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle said, "There is broad support for a regime change in Iraq. The question is how do we do it and when do we do it." It was also an international objective. On April 6, 2002, during a summit in Crawford, Texas, Prime Minister Blair said that regime change in Iraq was the policy of Great Britain, and that failure to act against Saddam was “not an option.” Blair pledged to support military action against Iraq, should that become necessary.

Give thanks to God for the freedom and liberty that He has bestowed upon our nation. The President needs our prayers, Lord. We exhorted in 1 Timothy 2 to make interecession for all men.... first of all kings and all in authority. Where are those who pray? In the other thread, someone took the time to bash him, but few are praying for him these days. Father God, increase those who pray for President Geroge W. Bush. It is not a matter of whether we agree with him. For whatever reasons, he decided to serve this country, and we should honor him with prayers for that. And MORE IMPORTANT we are instructed to pray FIRST OF ALL for kings and those in authority....

Dear Lord, multiply these prayers exponentially, pray them forward, REpray each of them, and bring in reenfroecements to add to these prayers. Add these prayers to every other prayer being prayed for our President this day. May these prayers connect, in the heavenlies, with all the other prayers for our President that arise to Your throne.... May the golden censors be full, so they can be turned over and fire thrown down to the earth on behalf of President Bush.

Lord, our President needs to remain strong on what he promised to do: nominate judges who support the Constitution.... namely, the right to life of ALL (meaning the unborn). Father, CALL YOUR MIGHTY MEN AND WOMEN, Your remnant in America, the breakers (Micha 2:12 - 13) to pray.

Though helpless, but repentant and seeking, boldly and gratefully we bow before You. Calls Hezbollah attacks “an act of war”
Washington, D.C.- Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY), Senior Member of the House International Relations Committee and author of Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act, condemned the Hezbollah attacks and vowed to hold Syria and Lebanon accountable.
Engel issued the following statement: "I am outraged by today's Hezbollah attack on Israel. This was an act of war, and Israel has every right to respond militarily to stamp out the terror threat.
“It is clear that kidnapping is becoming standard practice for the Syrian-backed terrorist groups. First, Hamas seized Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit and today Hezbollah grabbed two Israeli soldiers from within Israel's borders.
“I call on the President to complete implementation of the Syria Accountability Act's remaining sanctions on Syria until it ends support for terrorism. With Hamas based in Damascus and Hezbollah receiving full Syrian backing, it's time to impose the full range of sanctions.
“I call upon the Lebanese government to immediately condemn this action, take full control of all of its territory, and secure the release of the hostages so they can return to their families. The Lebanese government must know that the United States and the world are watching how they handle this crisis. Either they side with the hostage takers in Hezbollah which sits in the Lebanese government or it stands with the world against the terrorists.

Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora says Bush is "sincere" in his efforts to help Lebanon.
(CNN) -- Diplomacy sputtered Friday in the Israel-Lebanon conflict, as President Bush was forced to walk a political tightrope, Iran lobbed threats and insults at Israel, and Lebanon pleaded for international intervention to no avail.
In a phone call, Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora urged Bush to help persuade Israel to halt its attacks. Bush expressed support, and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told Siniora she would apply pressure to help achieve a cease-fire, according to the prime minister's office.
But White House spokesman Tony Snow said Bush made no promises to Siniora that he would try to persuade the staunch U.S. ally to scale back the military assault on Lebanon that has destroyed infrastructure and left dozens of civilians dead.
"The president is not going to make military decisions for Israel," Snow said.
News of the conversation came as the Pentagon was trying to figure out how to evacuate about 25,000 American citizens from Lebanon, military sources said.
In Russia for the G-8 summit, Bush reiterated his assertion that Israel had a right to defend itself, but again expressed concern that Israel could topple the U.S.-friendly Lebanese government that has been in place since the 2005 elections, the first after Syria ended its 30-year military occupation of the country.
Bush "believes that the Israelis have a right to protect themselves, and also that we think it's important that in doing that, they try to limit as much as possible so-called collateral damage, not only to facilities but also to human lives," Snow said.
En route to St. Petersburg, Russia, Bush called King Abdullah of Jordan and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, both of whom he thanked for trying to help resolve the situation....

FOR OCTOBER 5, 2006

Pray for President Bush as he continues to lead our nation as controversy, tragedy and conflict are paraded across our media outlets. Give thanks for his good spirits, his positive attitude, his moral bearings and commitment to prayer. Pray that God will continually strengthen him with His wisdom and power. Pray for those who serve as President Bush’s spiritual advisors, that they will be kept pure and will strive for godliness in all things.

Pray for President Bush as on October 10 he welcomes to the White House President Alan Garcia of Peru to express his gratitude for the Peruvian commitment to democracy. They will also discuss cooperation in areas of mutual interest like education, health benefits, job creation and prosperity.

Pray for Attorney General Gonzalez and Secretary of Education Spellings as they respond to President Bush’s call to convene a presidential commission on school safety on Tuesday, October 10, asking God to help and give insight to them. Pray that the best people will be brought together to discern the best solutions, that our nation’s innocent children may be protected every day.

Pray for healing for our nation in the aftermath of recent school shootings. As 219 people have been killed since the Columbine incident, pray for an end to this terrible trend. Pray for comfort and strength for the families of the shooting victims in CO, WI and PA. Pray that the violence will stop and that those who plot to harm children will find the help they need.

A PRAYER FOR OUR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF

The world weighs heavy on his heart
as hopes for peace are blown apart
and facts concealed for safety’s sake
are leaked like toxic waste.

His brow betrays the stress he bears.
So, too, the gray that gilds his hair.
That’s why we’re called to intercede
for one the critics taunt.

Our president is being squeezed
so we must drop down to our knees
and ask the Lord to give him strength
for pressures he must face.

Give George the judgment that he needs
and lift the burden as he leads.
O God, please bolster Mr. Bush
with tempered-steel resolve.

....At George W. Bush Elementary School in Stockton, CA, named for him, President Bush expressed deep emotion and gratitude at being honored in this way....He was there October 3 for the dedication of the school.....with the Laura Bush Library....He said, "Laura and I were saddened and deeply concerned, like a lot of other citizens around the country, about the school shootings that took place in Pennsylvania and Colorado and Wisconsin. We grieve with the parents and we share the concerns of those who worry about safety in schools."
