Help me fight the stonghold of Depression

I have had depression and obsessive thoughts off and on for years. It usually occurs when I'm stressed or have too much free time on my hands and nothing to do.

I'm on medication but it hasn't been working 100%. Please pray that God lifts this stronghold of depression off of me forever. I lost a job I loved and the process of losing it was difficult. I'm okay with God not letting me keep that one but I'm so sad lately. Please pray that God will lift this off me

I to suffer from depression and i have found that besides the meds the other thing that helps me is to put praise songs on, and read the psalms a lot out loud. some times i even play the music while playing a game on the computer like zuma or somthings that make me think but not to much, seem like the brain excersise and the praise songs help lift the moods better. i think it must realease some kind of needed natural chemicals in the brain.
hope you get better it sure is not a fun place to be.

Thank you all for all the prayers and please send more. It's been difficult the past few days. I feel the most happy when I'm home praying and listening to Christian music. I really wish God would lift this off of me forever.

When you feel this way it's hard to see the meaning in life and why we should get up everyday and go on - or even getting into a relationship with someone- I NEED GOD SO BAD!!!! I need him to touch me with his healing hand and lift me up

Lord I pray that YOU heal all people who have depression, anxiety, OCD and all other mental illness. I BEG YOU IN JESUS NAME - AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God sets us free...fear is a snare...God sets us free...your situation may seem insurmountable . . .
