Dear Jerry,

Hey there! Hi there! ** there! It's me....Blade! AKA Despondent Soul. Well, praise God- I am not despondent today. I am filled with joy!

Jerry, I hope you had a nice 4th of July! Mine was awesome. I wanted to share my praise report with you as well. Boy, am I grateful to God. Jesus is the best! He has very clearly been doing kind things for myself and my family in recent days...I mean, he has always been good to us- I think that in the past few months, that he has really blessed our lives in profound ways.

Myself and my Mom (her name is Jackie) went to See my grandma and grandpa on Sunday, the 4th of July. It was a beautiful day!

Well, you see, my grandma had just had surgery on her arm/hand area to reroute a nerve. She was not able to use that hand much, and it was deteriorating rapidly. But, now, the operation has been successful, and things are going well.

I also praise God that my grandpa is still alive. Jerry, he has had a lot of operations in the past couple of years. He is now 74 years old, and will be 75 in September. He had a major surgery done on his foot, because gangrene had set in. I was so afraid that he might not make it. But that operation went well. But then, things started going awry, and he had to have even more work done on his leg. In addition, he has had lots of bypass surgeries, and his lungs even had fluid a couple of months ago. Fortunately, my grandmother is a former/retired nurse, and everytime, (thank God), they have quickly taken my grandpa to the hospital and had things taken care of in a very timely manner.

Jerry, I am positive if the good Lord was not looking after him, my grandpa would not still be with us. But thank goodness he is! He is my surrogate dad, really. I started calling him "daddy" at a very young age, and I am 29 years old now. But I still affectionately call him "daddy", even to this day.

You see, my biological dad left when I was still a baby. But I count my blessings. I had "Daddy", and I also had Jesus with me all the time. God is so wonderful. I praise his Hallowed name!

In any event, I just wanted to share my joy and my praise report with you and everyone. I am very happy today. The Lord has been my savior, in many aspects of my life, including being the savior of my immortal soul. I am proud and honored to serve Jesus Christ- he is the greatest Hero in all the Cosmos.

Take care! By the way, thank you for your E-mail and sharing the story about the vigilante Grandma! LOL!

Warmest Regards,

BLADE 7/6/2004 Anno Domini
