It is extremely impossible to ignore the developments and discoveries in Science. The archeological digs produce some very convincing 'proof' of existence pre-biblical times. Althought their methods of time-dating are not vey accurate, it stil becomes evident that life existed on earth millions of years ago ... long before the writers of the Bible. Does this mean that the two are in conflict with each other? Definitely not!
Even if you were to believe that we started out as random atoms (the size of dust) ... the bible does say that God made mankind from dust. In addition, no scientist has been able to 'breathe life' into molecules ... that would have to be by direct intervention of God.
Next let's address the time factors. The scientists state that it took millions of years to 'evolve' to this point. The bible says God created the earth and all therein in 6 days. Are they in conflict? ... depends on your perspective. The bible also says that a day is like onto a thousand years and a thousands years like onto a day to God. Our time and God's time differs. Who are we to say exactly how long those 6 days were?
Now let's look at the whole 'evolution' process. Studies of the earth have shown that conditions on Earth has changed repeatedly. The Sahara Desert was once an equatorial forest. Camels developed a hump on their backs to aid them in surviving without water for long periods of time. Fifty years ago babies who were born at 7 months of pregnancy rarely survived. Today, babies born at 20 weeks of pregnancy are now living. Our technology and our mental abilities have evolved. Is this in contrast to Buiblical teaching ... only if you feel the need to put limitations on God's abilities. If we truly believe in God's omnipotence, we would realize that He would have designed creatures capable of adapting to the changes in the environment.
Did we evolve from apes? ... I very much doubt that. We were created on the 6th day, after all the plants and other animals were created. That is why they cannot find the 'missing link' ... there is none. We were the last 'creatures' to be created ... but we have evolved. This is quite evident. If the first 2 humans created were Adam and Eve, then we are all descendents of them and should look alike ... we do not. Some are tall, some are short, some are muscular, some are frail, some are smart, some not so smart, some are light skinned, some are dark .... you get the picture. All these differences are as a result of evolution ... evolutionary process built in by God to help up adapt to our various environments.

Those are really good answers for some of the questions people are always asking.
I have always believed just as you have said.
God has spoken that He will pour out His wisdom in the last days, and truly He has done so!
And yes, His time is not the same as our time.
The scientists are always saying we evolved from the apelike creatures, so the missing link became established and caused confusion.
Either there is a time factor involved in the answer, or since we were made in God's image according to the Bible, who's to say (whether we like it or not) that God doesn't look like our evolutionary prototypes?
Oh well, just a thought.
I'm sure the image of God that we look like is in Spirit, not in the appearance as we would imagine.

Hi! I'm Brian. I'll share some stuff with you, I mentioned in another area. Christian scientists finally got out, some evidence secular scientists have kept under wraps for quite some time. A radiation that last only miliseconds is found fossilized in granite, the foundational rock of earth. Evolution is now no longer. It claimed granite formed from millions or billions of years of "evolving". Impossible. Secondly- notice if look closely, charts of creatures claimed evolved from single cell to multicell ones never show evidence found of any evolving thru thier period to next higher level creature. That proves progression, not evolution. And God, in His word, teaches progression not evolution. Third- Secular scientists also proved God true about man's creation, trying to disprove it. All the same materials found in "dirt" are also found in the human body. If want to know more, just ask. Take care and God Bless!
