Right now, I am listening to the live broadcast regarding the Federal Marriage Amendment. This has been weighing heavy on my heart, even though I am not married and never have been. We live in a nation, which is forcing us to redefine marriage as union between one man and one woman.
I am upset because my state's Senators and Representatives do not favor this Amendment. They beat around the bush, do not respond to e-mails and do not take phone calls. Their secretaries sidestep the issues when phone calls are placed to them. As I read through the posts here on this forum, my heart aches for all of the marriages that are in trouble and breaking apart. I pray that God will heal your broken hearts and bring restoration. It is sad that we have to draw up this Amendment to redefine marriage, but it is also good that believers are stepping up and speaking out on this important issue. We must fight these battles and cannot remain silent. Let's pray that as this Amendment is discussed and voted on, that God's will be done. Thank you, and God bless each one of you. JC's girl |
