Have you got a fig leaf that you pull out when you want to sin?
Have you ever noticed how when you want to eat a banana split, drink a beer, curse, smoke a cigarette, have sex sins, abuse someone, etc., that you put God on a backburner and turn away from Him?
He won't look at your sin anyway-but we still put Him out of our minds to sin.
Then we get in a mess and expect Him to fix it.
That's how come the prayer board stays here so long.
And He does. He does fix it.
That's unbelivable- but lucky us that He loves us like that.
Lord,
Help me not to have any reason to hide from you and help me not to put you away when I feel like sinning.
Amen.

What is wrong with eating a banana split????? I think you're overdoing it a bit...
Smoking can be considered sinful and the other things which you mentioned are sinful no doubt about that but eating a banana split is not a sin, this is silly.
And drinking a beer is also not a sin. Getting drunk is sinful but you can drink a beer if you want to. You can also drink a coffee or eat chocolate, it's no sin.

You say God won't look at our sins anyhow... oh contraire... it is sin that separates us from God...as Jerry says... our cell phone to heaven does not work because we have not paid the bill...we have let sin come between us and God.
Luck has nothing to do with it... luck is of chance, and it is no chance that God loves us... it is a blessing... He loves us all... it is the sin He hates...
And I agree with Frederik... eating things like banana splits, or drinking a beer is not sin... UNLESS it is done to excess,becoming excessive in drink, or being a glutton... and putting it BEFORE one puts God... God will not be mocked, He wants to be first in our lives! Anything we put before God, is not right... we are to Love God FIRST, above all. Keeping up with confession of sins, and one should not have any reason to hide from God... because one cannot hide from God...come on... He is Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent.. He is everywhere,sees everything, Powerful above all...

Yes, God comes first.
So when you're thinking about eating a banana split and then praying to God you have to pray first and then eat the banana split. 
But pray quickly before it melts. 
Also praying when you're tempted isn't very effective.You have to pray for strength before being tempted.

If I am ever blessed with the presence of a banana split, I pray WHILE I am eating it, because I am thanking God that we can have good things like that to indulge in.
I still think beer is a sin because you're using it to get a buzz instead of getting a buzz with God.
Also, if you have to go to a bar to drink it, it doesn't look right if you're a Christian to be in there.
But who cares what I think? It's not up to me anyway, it's between you and God and that's why He is who He is and I am who I am and I am frankly glad I don't have His job because I am judgmental sometimes-especially of my own sin.
Sometimes I feel like a worthless dog and the only reason I can keep on going is because I know He's there to help me when, not if, but when I fall.

I am not a fan of beer.
But you can also drink beer at home, you do not necessarily have to go to a bar to get it.What about going to a bar and ministering to people? I think we mustn't see things so strictly.

You're right, Frederik-and I do ask for God's forgiveness.
I nearly got killed today head-on by a big truck coming in my lane so he could dodge someone on a bicycle. It was scary.
I know God can heal this child-I was just desperate to have people pray for her so I went to drastic measures.
