Well Freddy, let me ask you this...

Does he look like a 30 year old man of middle eastern decent who comes from out of no where to attain the position that will bring this world to its climax?

The Pope is a doddering old man well over 30, he's Polish, and very well known.

No, Pope John Paul II is not the anti-Christ.

But where does the bible say the antichrist will be 30 years old?

Ok... This is a bit embarassing! I do not study this very much, this is really the realm of my husband so I asked him where it says that in the Bible and he said it doesn't!

He told me that it is just a traditional belief that he will be about 30 when he starts his "Ministry" because that is how old Jesus was when He began his Ministry. This comes from the fact that Satan cannot create anything original, he can only copy what God has done, hence the age of 30.

Chuck also said that we will not see the anti-Christ because the restraint (the Holy Spirit and Church) must be removed before he can be revealed.

This is based on 2 Thessalonians 2:3-10:

Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, because that Day will not come unless first comes the falling away (Separation, Removal, Dividing, Taking apart or Away [Rapture?]), and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, the one opposing and exalting himself over everything being called God, or object of worship, so as for him "to sit in the temple of God" as God, setting forth himself, that he is God. (Dan. 11:36; Eze. 28:2) Do you not remember that I told you these things, I yet being with you? And now you know the thing holding back (Church and/or the Holy Spirit), for him to be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness already is working, only he (Holy Spirit) is holding back now, until it (the spirit of anti-Christ) comes out of the midst (the spirit of anti-Christ already exists, it dwells in the world, it cannot come forward until the restraints are removed. The Holy Spirit and any Christian who can stand up and speak in the Name of Jesus can and does restrain this spirit from revealing itself.). And then "the Lawless One" (this is the physical man that the spirit of anti-Christ will use, with permission from the man just like with Judas) will be revealed, "whom" "the Lord" "will consume" "by the spirit of His mouth," and will bring to nought by the brightness of His presence. (Isa. 11:4) His coming is according to the working of Satan in all power and miraculous signs and lying wonders, and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved. 2 Thess. 2:3-10

I hope this helps you to understand that looking for the "man" that will be the anti-Christ is a futile activity. The spirit of anti-Christ cannot fill anyone until the restraint of the Spirit of God is removed.

Wait a second. First of all this was rather a joke. I do not believe he is the antichrist.
But look at this:

Study and discussion of End Time events. Is Jesus coming soon? Are we in the tribulation? Some say the millennium is over, what do you think? Is the Pope the antichrist.


Who wrote this? I was just asking this question which is already listed in the description of this forum.
