does God love all equally?

Does God love atheists as much as he loves christians?
And does God love a terrorist as much as he loves an atheists?
If God loves atheists as much as he loves christians then this would mean that he loves Bin Laden as much as he loves the Pope for example.
Does this make any sense? I don't think so.

frederik....i really dont know...it seems that he favors some over others in the bible but maybe thats because of their actions towards him

Frederik,

God loves us all the same, even bad guy terrorists. God can never love us anymore or any less than he always has. The reason that people do the things they do or believe what they may believe is because God has given each of us a free will. Of course God wants us to use that will for his glory and to follow the teachings of Christ. Some people of course use their free will differently and God gives them opportunities to repent. We never know how long we have here, for our days our numbered and only God knows that number, just as he knows the exact count of the hairs on our head. If one should be; lets say an atheist, and choose to turn a deaf ear on Christianity and the law of God then I do not believe that God will find favor in them. God finds favor in his children who acknowledge his precense. People are usually given plenty of opportunities to acknowledge him. God cannot bless those who choose to sin and not acknowledge him. Does this make sense to you?

Your sister in Christ,
Mary

Romans 5:8

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (NIV)

Yes even though we were sinners Jesus still loved us, for this is what propelled him to die for us to give us new life in him..

But there are also references in the bible which do not sound like love at all.
There are verses where it says that Jesus will smash them like pots.
How can I imagine this? You say God loves everybody. But as soon as Jesus returns he is really really angry. Does that mean 1 second before he returns he loves everybody but as soon as he returns he becomes angry?

God loves everyone so much thats why he is still offering grace in spite of the stuff going on with man marrying man and woman marrying woman, he is giving those who do not know him the chance to repent and turn to him, thats what I call love... When he comes back in judgement is because he is precise in sticking to who he is in being just and true if he didnt he wouldnt be faithful.. If he let sin have its way without judgement anyone can do what they want and whenever they want..but thats not so if we sin we reap what we sow.. When he comes back he is coming back to do war against the devil why would he be in the Lion of Judah mode instead of the Lamb it is war and when he roars the whole world will know it is him... Lets not forget he is the lamb but he is also the Lion of Judah and he is faithfulness and when he says something in his word he is not mocked and it will come to pass.. His word is continually going forth from him.. When he is in his Lion of Judah mode does not mean he has put away love for his love is what is fueling his judgements to come to pass as to not see the human race wipe themselves out... Sin is infectous and will wipe out the human race if God let it have its course, this is why he will step in to put a stop to all of it.. God cant leave a part of himself behind when he is moving or doing something, when he moves he brings all that he is to the table not just a part of his character... Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever..Hebrews 13:8
