Talking to the people that have passed

I have just read the post about the fact that when our body dies, our spirit goes to heaven or the other place immediately. If this is true, then is it possible for our loved ones who have passed, to communicate with us. I know that there are spirits in the bible that have shown themselves. Jesus being one of them after he died on the cross. And there is the word of knowledge and things. But what I was wondering is can our loved ones contact us once they have passed? I've seen "Johnathan Edwards", on TV, who claims to be talking to the people who have crossed over. Could he actually be talking to them. I have a twin daughter that died shortly after death, and a great aunt and uncle that raised my sister and I and other loved ones that have passed. I've had people say that they are watching over us from heaven. Is this possible. I'm sure that Jesus wouldn't want them to see the suffering and pain that loved ones here on earth are going through. But I guess I'm just confused. Could you shed some light on this. I don't believe everything I see on TV, but sometimes I just wonder if when I talk to my aunt "Mary", can she hear me and can she answer me in some way. I once made my own sourkraut. I stuffed it in the jars, and I was thinking that maby I was packing the jars too tight. I don't know if it was "Mary", talking to me or if I was just remembering something that she told me when I helped her when I was a girl. I cooked the saurkraut, and when I took the jars out of the cooker, there wasn't any juice left. It all boiled out. I packed the jars too tight. Anyway, what do you think? Can they communicate.

Detestable Practices
9 When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD , and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the LORD your God.



2 Chronicles 33
6 He sacrificed his sons in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced sorcery, divination and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD , provoking him to anger.


We are not to talk to the dead ever that is a practice of sorcery.. For those who are talking to the dead I am discerning they are talking to someone who is appearing to be an angel of light which is a demon behind this angel of light.. (2 Corinthians 1114 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.) And this demon is getting his info from the devils that were in this persons life.. Which makes it seem to appear they are talking to a dead loved one.. So how should I put this those who are talking to the dead are channeling themselves to demons and they are blinded spiritually..



Also the difference between phsycics and those who truely hear from the Lord in words of knowledge is this: It has to do with the source in where they are getting it from.. Phsycics get it from the devil appearing as though he is there friend as an angel of light but little do they know they have made a pact with the devil and are spiritually blind, in other words they are his puppet and he pulls the strings in there life.. UNLESS they ask Jesus to come into there hearts and they will be set free from the dillusions the devil has them in and they will trade there channeling of the devil over to prophecying for Jesus once they are saved..

Those who are Christians there source is from the Holy Spirit

You see satan tries to pervert what God does and tries to turn prophecy into channeling through those who are not saved, he tries to mirror God in what God does through the gift of prophecy, but it is all false and a lie in what the devil does..


Jesus comfort this mom with discernment from the Holy Spirit and let her know if she seeks your face you will supply her with the answers she needs ((HUGS))

This is a dangerous area to be communicating with the deceased. I have been told that those demons who were around those people will masquerade as those people passed on, and that is why people are so convinced that they are talking to their loved one who is deceased. They are not.Read the parable of the rich man and Lazarus dying... if there was communication between the dead and the living... would he have asked for it to take place? Any communication with someone dead is wrong according to the Bible.
Luk 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Luk 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. Luk 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. Luk 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Also it is ONLY the Holy Spirit whom we are to be in communion with, not any other spirit. Yes, there is psychic spirit, but is of Man, and something that the devil can use for his advantage... it is not a means on which we should be relying. I agree with what Chris has already said... if you want some more references about psychic and the such, a paper by Watchman Nee called THE LATENT POWER OF THE SOUL, is an excellent reference.

No, the spirits do not communicate with us. I'm sorry for your family's passing, and pray that they are in heaven and you will see them again. Once we die, our spirits either go to heaven or hell. In heaven we go to a waiting place. In the bible, when Jesus comes back the first that will go up are those that have been in waiting which he calls the grave. TV has different psychics which the bible calls witches that tell people that their love ones have said hi or whatever. Though this may be convincing, satan and his demonic spirits take on forms of our family and friends. Satan knows all about us from studying our lives. So he can mimic and pretend that it was Mary who packed your jars, when it was not. Mary has gone on. I believe what you have said, that our families would not want to see us suffer and go through. Heaven is a place of Happiness and Peace. The bible says there will be no more crying, no more dying, no more hating, no more when we get there in that glorious city. I hope I have shed some light on this for you today. The dead have gone on. I want to share that I read a testimony of a man who died and went to Hell. He died not believing in God, he was digging in a coal mine, where all of these coals fell on him. He says he remembered light, then he was walking and there was a large creature that met him at the gate. He said he was drawn to the gate, it was if some sort of gravity had pulled him to the gate. He didn't even ask the large 8 or 9 foot creature where he was going he just followed him. When he was walking up the hill on the wall said, This Is Hell. He said that the creature spoke to him in biblical terms saying thus and thou as if this creature had been there for thousands of years. He met another creature who was about 10 foot tall with horns on his head. The creature told him, Thou art in Hell, he said. The man followed the 10 foot creature and was led to screams and cries and gnashing of teeth, he was in hell with so many people that he could not see. He could only hear them around him. He heard many asking for water. He prayed God please save me. He then woke up in the morge, where they pronounced him dead. He woke and said he wanted to be saved. His friends were so happy to see him come back to life. Our friend is a believer. He had no contact with the earth. Heaven and Hell is Real. When we die, we go on to another place.
