Please pray that the tropical storm, Alex, doesn't hit us here on the eastcoast and that it won't destroy anything. We've had our fair share of hurricanes and they are awful to go through and very scary!! Please pray God will continue to protect us and our homes and give us a Spirit of PEACE during anything and everything that comes our way. Please pray "Alex" will weaken too and that NO tornadoes spawn from it!!! God bless!

Lord Jesus, You said in Your Word that all authority has been given unto you. Then You gave us that authority. Jesus, You told the winds and the wave to be still and they obeyed.

Now I declare Peace, Be still to TS Alex in the Name of Jesus. Let the wind, rain, and seas be quite. In the mighty name of Jesus!

Hurricane Alex is accelerating away from coastal sections of North Carolina after leaving a mess in its wake. Flooding occurred around the Outer Banks and the Pamlico Sound. Trees and powerlines were down and there was a loss of electricity. Some roof damage was also reported. Wind gusts as high as 120 mph pummeled the area around Okracoke. Rainfall totals for the storm likely exceeded 6 inches; Beaufort, N. C., measured 5.62 inches. Widespread soundside flooding near Ocracoke has been reported with numerous homes flooded and automobiles floating. The hurricane is expected to move east-northeastward well south of New England and Long Island.
Elsewhere in the Atlantic, a tropical depression is centerd less than 300 miles east of the Windward Islands. The depression could strengthen as it sweeps toward the west. A tropical storm warning is in effect for St. Lucia while a tropical storm watch has been posted for Guadeloupe, Martinique, Dominica, St. Maarten, St. Eustatius along with Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

Thank you all for your prayers!! This one did little damage anywhere and we were blessed! Where I am we only got a little wind and rain! We get a little tense here when we here "hurricane" as NC has been devastated the past few yrs from hurricanes- some areas just horribly affected. 2 yrs ago after a hurricane passed us, there were cows with water up to their necks.... and rescuers couldn't save them all. That memory just burns in your head and you hope and pray nothing like that ever happens again.
Anyways, thank you again for all the prayers! God bless!
