70% In military say they trust Bush not Kerry with their lives.

New York Post Online Edition --- July 31, 2004 -- SCRANTON, Pa. -- John Kerry's heavily hyped cross-country bus tour stumbled out of the blocks yesterday, as a group of Marines publicly dissed the Vietnam War hero in the middle of a crowded restaurant.
Kerry was treating running mate Sen. John Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth, to a Wendy's lunch in Newburgh, N.Y., for their 27th wedding anniversary -- an Edwards family tradition -- when the candidate approached four Marines and asked them questions.
The Marines -- two in uniform and two off-duty -- were polite but curt while chatting with Kerry, answering most of his questions with a "yes, sir" or "no, sir."
But they turned downright nasty after the Massachusetts senator thanked them "for their service" and left.
"He imposed on us and I disagree with him coming over here shaking our hands," one Marine said, adding, "I'm 100 percent against [him]."
A sergeant with 10 years of service under his belt said, "I speak for all of us. We think that we are doing the right thing in Iraq," before saying he is to be deployed there in a few weeks and is "eager" to go and serve.
The Marines -- all of whom serve at nearby Stewart Air Force Base -- wouldn't give their names.
It wasn't an auspicious start to the senators' "Believe in America" bus tour -- a 22-state, 43-city tour that will cover roughly 3,500 miles over 15 days in an effort to carry some of their momentum out of the Democratic convention . . .
It was very clear Kerry was upset with the Marines. And it is very clear the Marines were upset with Kerry. All of them said they would be voting for President Bush.
If Kerry is to get elected he will have to do much more with the Military because the latest polls that asked: "Who do you trust you life with while at war. Kerry or Bush". The poll shows that over 70% of the soliders trust President Bush with their lives over Kerry.

Thanks for posting this article. I hadn't seen it.
I do know, having a military background and still have many military friends that this is true. They lacked respect for Pres. Clinton, and Kerry seems to be right up there with him. It seems to be, when someone is risking their life that the military wants someone honorable and responsible. All reports being received lately indicate that Kerry is neither honorable and certainly not responsible. He says one thing, and does another. He says he supports marriage between one man and one woman, but failed to even vote when it was before the Senate. (fence-sitter) He says he believes life starts at conception, but he supports the Pro-Death movement, and he supports "creating" life in order to destroy it so that medical research can be accomplished. He says he's a hero, but a huge number of reports coming from those who know him, and were with him in war say that his wounds were mostly self-inflicted by carelessness, and he served only 3 months in Vietnam, and then came back, told everyone of our Soldiers being "war criminals" and then held hearts with Jane Fonda, and the anti-war movement. Many people suffered desperately because of Jane Fonda's anti-American behavior. I thank God that since that time she has found our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and I pray that whatever happens with the Election that John Kerry, his family, the Edwards and all their staff, lay down their pride, and come to know Jesus as their LORD and SAVIOR. Father, care for America. Forgive us for not being involved in the past, and let us take up our Cross and follow you. Jesus himself battled the Politics of his day when he upended the tables in the temple. Lord, let Your children see what a Political Statement Jesus truly made that day. Lord, bless your children and this nation. Let us seek you with our whole heart and turn to you as Lord of Lord and King of Kings. Father, we praise you and ask that you soften hearts that this nation will be again, what you planned it to be. In the Name of Jesus, we Pray. Amen and Amen

What is there to say except ..."HOO WAH"!!!
I am proud of those men for not embarassing themselves or Kerry by making a 'scene', I am just a proud of them for having the guts to say who they will vote for while in the center of the media feeding frenzy that followed their conversation.
Father, bless those men and the men and women who are going with them to Iraq. Bring everyone home safe and whole and as proud to be American when they return as they are now. Bring John Kerry and John edwards to Jesus for Salvation. Keep President bush strong in his faith and strong as the leader of this country. Let Bush remain President for the next term of Office. In the Name of Jesus! AMEN!
