I had a dream. Any ideas?

In my dream a voice said, "You will never reach that perfect anointing." That's it. That's all I remember from this dream.

Being in the glory (the "perfect anointing") is my #1 desire.

Okay, so was God telling me on earth it would never be to the degree I want?

Or was it the voice of a prophet of God (someone who has been in the glory), who was explaining to me that I am striving for something that never can be until heaven?

Or was it the devil or a demon lying to me, so I would give up and quit trying?

Or was it me thinking it is impossible (as in, I was speaking my inner doubt and fear).

I woke up feeling very discouraged.

I had this dream about a week ago, and it is really bugging me. Does anyone have a word or interpretation (sp?) on what it means?

Thats hard because we can never reach perfection because only God is perfect, but we are covered by the blood of jesus which makes us as white as snow, however its still Christ.

By "perfect anointing" the voice did not mean that I would never be perfect. I know that. The voice was meaning that I could not be totally IN God's glory, the way I wish to be.

It was your inner doubt or fear. Or possibly the enemy tryin' to trip ya up. II Cor 12:9

I also had a dream today. I had a house. A big one. Someone or more than one tried to break in. It was in the middle of the day. I had to lock every door. They were trying to come in the door but I stopped them. I looked for other doors or windows that needed to be locked and they were.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My ex was sitting outside my house, a big one. I was annoyed and looked to see if all the doors were locked so he couldn't break in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was running from something, I was scared. But I got mad and fed up and turned around and beat the heck out of whatever it was and started chasing it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some dreams are prophetic and come to pass almost immediately. But some are just ordinary dreams. But I can't yet differentiate which is which. Like when my van broke down years ago, that happened the day of my dream. And when I saw flashing lights in my rear view mirror, I got a speeding ticket later that week.
I can't always differeniate, either.
But, according to John Paul Jackson, a prophet of the Lord and a dream interpreter, if you dream in color, it is probably a God dream. Normally, we dream in black and white or dull colors. But if you dream in vivid colors, then it's probably a dream from God.
Think about it. Would God give you such an discouraging dream?
Do you think God would do that? No.
Satan is the thief and the liar, he wants to rob and destroy.
If God wanted to let you know something he could do it in a way which doesn't discourage you. I would say Satan is trying to keep you from something.
Did Jesus ever say in the bible "Oh wait, this is going too far now, please slow down your enthusiasm...."
And by the way, never means never. Never means not even in 1000 years.
That's like saying you will never be with God. It's simply not true. So even if you did not get this "perfect anointing" in this life, using the word "never" is not correct. I would not care about this dream.
This dream really doesnt make very much sense to me.. For if we are abiding Jesus we are already in the anointing as perfectly as we could be, for we are abiding in him and not us.. Also why then would his own word declare and state for us to seek his face ..
Deuteronomy 4
29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Psalm 27
8 My heart says of you, "Seek his face!"
Your face, LORD , I will seek.
Jeremiah 29
13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
These scriptures right here confirm to us to seek the face of Jesus and to enter into his glory and full anointing .. When we are in prayer seeking the face of God and we then enter into his glory and anointing, Jesus doesnt show up partially in his anointing he shows up in all his glory and anointing and that is what we are in when we truely are in the presence of God in prayer where he leads us..
I see this as a major attack from the devil because he knows you are ever so close into entering into this glorious place of the anointing in Jesus, and he is trying to stop you from going even more deeper in Jesus during prayer... Press on my friend press on in Jesus as he leads you in prayer.. If only you could see and be where I have been in Gods anointing and glory during the prayer times I have with him, this anointing and his presence blows away the name itself "perfect anointing".. For it is much more than that it is FULL of power and love and his very essence and being oh how glorious it is.. The word perfect anointing is actually settling for less in him.. For when you are in Jesus fully in prayer and are truely abiding in Jesus in the daily walk of our lives his anointing will literally envelop you and you we will begin to take on who he is in his character and his anointing.. His anointing and presence changes things when you are in it.. If we are not changing in the presence of God and his anointing it could possibly mean we are trying to do something in are strength instead of letting him change us and show us what to do.. In other words if we enter into prayer and we enter into such a glorious anointing and his very presence how could we not leave prayer changed for being around him and such an anointing will change us into he wants us to be alone.. My point in saying all that is this the devil does not want you to enter in to the place Jesus is wanting to take you for when you get there and learn how to get into his presence and glory without even trying then you will begin to take on the plan and will God has for you and your life for you will be so much in God and his anointing that it will begin to change you into the likeness of Jesus character in love and peace and joy and you will see things how Jesus see it all through his perspective alone and this will begin to change you..
So see I pray you recieve this we dont have to wait until we get to heaven to be in this perfect anointing.. When we are abiding in Jesus we already are in the "complete anointing" for we are in him God Bless
Wow, thanks, Frederik! Right on! You cut to the center of it! I should have known it was the devil! Or I wouldn't have felt so discouraged! Now, there's no way you can say you haven't grown in the Lord!!!
Thanks, AW. When you speak of how glorious it is, it makes me want to press on. Right now, I'm packing to move to a new apartment (a two bedroom, praise God!!! ), and once I'm in my own room, I can REALLY get some undistracted time to spend with HIM!!! Whoohoo!!!
I believe that it is a fear dream. The last thing you listed is what I believe was it. I will pray for your peace.
The truth is that we will never become whole until heaven. I know that we cannot be perfect as we have all fallen short, as will be the case until eternity with Christ.
Thanks, Janet. It was prophecied over me that I would go into the glory as Moses did and talk to God face to face. So I must keep pressing in and beleiving it WILL happen. I have been in His glory, but I just want to experience it to a stronger degree.
