pressed but not crushed

I am under such heavy spiritual oppression now. It is due to my workplace promoting the gay/lesbian group and how I contacted a Christian organization in town. That organization ran an article in their newsletter. Today, some people were distributing a Christian newsletter (not the same newsletter that I just mentioned) in our parking lot and putting them under windshield wipers. Management chased them off the property, but they left their literature behind.
I talked to my sister about her boyfriend, who I don't feel is good for her. Now my sister is upset with me.
Tonight, I had an argument with a very strong willed friend and decided it's time to break off the friendship.
Satan is acting in full force, but God is stronger. Yet, I am very overwhelmed emotionally, physically and mentally. Please pray for me. Thanks and God bless you, ladies!
Love in Christ,
Marcee

Yes, I have been going through lots myself.... but not crushed!!!
Dear Lord, may JC's girl find quiet time alone with You. May she rest quietly in Your Presence. I pray she is able to just cease from all actitivy (me, too, as I've just been busy, busy. busy!) and just get in Your Presence and hear Your voice assuring her that You love her and are taking care of all this. Dear Lord, let the peace that passes understanding truly keep her. Remind her: What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose her soul? In other words, no matter WHAT the things are we go through, every sacrifice in obedience to God is worth it! No price is too great to show are love for You! I pray, Lord, that she will feel Your Presence EVERY MINUTE, EVERY HOUR OF EVERY DAY. Just let her be so encouraged and strengthened in You!!! I pray that we truly know that You are carrying her at this time (as I know You have been carrying me!) I ask all this, in Jesus Name, amen!!!
I applaude you making a decision like that about a "friend." Too many people are too co-dependent to "give up" a "friend" they have. The are so desparate for friendship, they will stay in "friendships" that are dragging them down, holding them back.... If this friendship is meant to be, God will fix it. It's a breath of fresh air to find someone who realizes all "friends" are not necessarily good for them. It takes a very mature person do this. A person who has become fairly whole in Christ.
For your encouragement: I am now 42, and just within the last couple of years I have met and made some REAL friends. They are hard to find, believe me. When you find a TRUE friend, what a relief it is! I have one friend now, whom I can agree to disagree with, and we still love and pray for reach other. That kind of friendship, you can put NO PRICE on. If that is not what you had with this person, then don't get too worried. She was not a real friend to you, anyway. Just keep praying and asking.... I was about 25 when I started praying for some real, true friends, and now at 42 I can say it's really happening.

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. They mean alot to me.
I feel so much weight lifted off of me. There was a Christian music festival here this weekend, so I spent alot of time at it. It was great to be in such a huge crowd, worshipping and praising God together.
The president of the company I work for got a copy of the newsletter, which had the article in it about the gay/lesbian group at work. He sent the article to all of the managers, along with a message that they better be careful about what they are doing. Praise God that the president took that initiative to tell those managers how he felt. The company has a new president and I just pray that he will hold to good values and morals. The company needs a Christian in leadership, but I don't know whether or not the president is a Christian.
I have given my argument I had with my friend to the Lord and have been set free. I saw her at church this morning and smiled at her, with no feelings of hurt or anger, so praise God!
I have not talked to my sister since I talked to her about her boyfriend last week. Pray that won't put a rift in our relationship.
Jeri Rose, thanks for your encouragement. I know all too well about co-dependency! Some people just have such a longing for friends that they will connect with just about anyone, regardless of whether or not the person or people are a positive influence. None of my sister's friends are saved and most of them don't go to church. Real friends are few and far between, but those who do find are treasures that last a lifetime.
Thank you for your prayers and for your support, everyone.
May God bless you all!
In Christ,
JC's girl
