"My sons, be not now negligent: for the Lord hath chosen you to stand before him, to serve him, and that ye should minister unto him, and burn incense."

"Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Anointed; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them."

Wow. I looked up the word 'Christ' and it means 'Anointed.' I think this means we'd better heed the warnings of God's true prophets, some of whom are posted on this site.

Fruits of the Spirit build up the body, fruits of our Adversary tear down the body. Also God's word says that we know His voice and another voice we will not follow.

Guard your heart!

God will tear down a house because of idolotry, or allow it to be torn down by evil (which is a tool of God).

Matthew 10:34-36 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to SET A MAN AT VARIANCE AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND THE DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND THE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW. And A MAN'S FOES SHALL BE THEY OF HIS OWN HOUSEHOLD."

I was thinking about all the stuff going on in the world. God has to give us enough to bring us to a state of repentance, not that we all will choose it. But repentance is a gift, I think. He will separate us from the rest of the flock in order to save us. He alone is our salvation, and if you are me, you might have a hard time getting this into your head.

2 Timothy 2:24-26 "And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."

God has shown me a multitude of people climbing up the mountain, their sight set on heaven. Among them sits a mighty rock, worn with age in thier midst, a foundation of apparent solidity. It will crumble at its base and fall down off of the mountain. Satan still has his eyes roaming here and there for who he can seize at his will. We must keep our eyes on the Goal.

We cannot draw lines around God and say He will only do it this way....or He will only do it that way.....we must be close to His Spirit and His teaching and faith is the victory that overcomes the world. WE MUST LEAVE JUDGMENT TO GOD ALONE. We must be sure of our own salvation and remain in obedience to Him. God created both good and evil.

I hope I remember this story correctly:

Abraham and Sarah went on a journey and came to a certain kingdom. To save his own life, he allowed the king to take Sarah for himself. Sarah was saved because of her obedience to God, and a restoration was made. Obedience is key. It doesn't mean she didn't go through hell, it means she found salvation in trust. She believed in what she couldn't see with her physical eyes. God gave the king the gift of repentance and Sarah was restored to her husband and I believe the sanctity of their marriage remained intact.

I don't know if Abraham was wrong in giving Sarah up. I don't know if the king was wrong in taking Sarah in. I do know that it is wrong to separate a man from his wife. Maybe each of these things happened to teach an important lesson to all of us who came after, we just can't know.

Matthew 19:6 "Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."

You know, Jesus came to be one of us. He dwelt among us. We just thought we knew something. Everything turned around for good, but not without hell first. We crucified Him. And He set us free.
