The note left on our church door.

One day someone attached a note to the door of our church. It was around 2 or 3 hours before prayer.

The noted read, "Please pray for my little girl. The doctors tell me (mother) that she is not going to make it through the night"

The note was not signed.

That night during our midweek prayer, we lifted the young child up in prayer to the Lord.

Some time later I went to a local department store in my home town to purchase some things. While there, someone shared with me that there was a young girl who was critical ill in the hospitial.

The young girl was not expected to live. Infact the doctors told the mother that her daughters condition was so bad, that the young girl would not live through the night.

This same person continued, During that night the young girl recovered. Not only did she get well, but was also released from the hospitial that same morning.

The doctors could not understand how a young child with such a grave medical condition could recover in such a short period of time.

Some claim that knowledge is powerful, but I say prayer is powerful.

If anyone is sick or in need, I know a doctor who can help, and his name is Jesus.

I love how God led me to the person in the department store who shared the story with me concerning that little girl.

It was certainly the same little girl we were praying for. Not only that, but one day the mother visited our church with this same little girl. Full of life, and completely healed!

We give all the glory and praise to God and God alone!!

I was very encouraged after hearing the story of how your church helped the Lord's healing power restore the little girl's health. It is obvious that your church has been blessed with many devoted believers and the spirit of the Lord reins within your congregation.

I would be so thankful if you and your congregation be so kind as to honor a prayer request of mine as well. The situation is as follows:

I have a friend named Rob Beck. Several months ago he received the news that he was stricken with a cancer that was expected to be terminal in a only a few short months at best, perhaps even weeks. After hearing this news, I went to a special spot that I know of and did some of the most heartfelt praying that I had done in quite some time. As I prayed to the Lord, I called upon him to honor his promise, "Ask and you shall receive...", as well as some others that I could think of off hand. I then proceeded to thank and praise him because I had truly had faith that a miracle was available for Rob and I knew I needed to harbor this faith sincerely within my heart in order to help make this happen.

Well, I can't tell you how thrilled I was when I heard that Rob had actually somewhat responded to treatment and, although still not expected to survive the cancer, had prolonged his life considerably. I truly believe that in itself is a miracle. This was over six months ago. I actually just saw him today and he looked better than I had expected.

I wholeheartedly believe that Rob can survive this thing with the help of the Lord, providing it is his will, as there is nothing outside the realm of possibility when it comes to The Lord.

As I am sure you have by now guessed, my request is for Rob. I would really feel so blessed if you could ask your congregation to lift Rob Beck in prayer to The Lord asking him to heal Rob from the cancer that threatens to cut his life short?

I thank you so much for any and all gestures made on his behalf. I anxiously await the day that I will be writing to you, God willing, with the miraculous news of Rob's recovery. I look forward to this not just for Rob, but for the many lives that I anticipate can be affected by hearing the powerful witness of Rob's story.

These times we now live in are so filled with despair and negativity, not to mention seriously lacking of people and events that can actually serve to inspire an individual's spirituality in a positive way. I'm sure you will agree that miracles like these are more valuable than a castle full of gold and more precious than anything that I can think of currently available to mankind ... aside from the written word itself, of course.

Best wishes to you and your congregation in the future. I will keep you in my prayers and hope to see that many wonderful blessings are bestowed upon your church and all of it's followers as well.

Sincerely,
Cynthia Goodrich, Hayward, California [/COLOR]
