I am so upset about this. I feel like we have been lied to by the Muslims. They keep emailing me and telling me only a few Muslims are radicals. I get emails from around the world saying most Muslims love Christians. Well, if that is so why is a whole nation doing this to Christians? This is not a small number. This is 70 million Muslims. We have to pray, or this will happen here. WAKE UP AMERICA. WAKE UP CHRISTIAN BODY, OR YOU ARE NEXT.Church we must pray

Wake up Church.
This is a whole nation of Muslims that want
to arrest Christians. There is only one way
with them. This is not a minority. This is a whole nation of Muslims.
OUR FAITH IS UNDER FIRE

arrest at least 80 Ministers
We must pray NOW or your
brothers may be martyred

© 2004 WorldNetDaily.comAt least 80 Assembly of God Ministers attending the general conference of the Iranian Assemblies of God, being held near Tehran, were arrested and questioned following a police raid three days ago. Ten pastors taken into custody are still being held, and their families are not being allowed to communicate with them.
According to Compass Direct News Service, authorities surrounded the denomination's headquarters in Karaj, 20 miles from the capital, on the conference's first day and burst in suddenly, arresting all those present.
"The police came from everywhere," one Iranian Christian told Compass Direct, "and there were a lot of them."
According to the U.S. State Department's 2003 International Religious Freedom Report, "Christian groups have reported instances of government harassment of churchgoers in Tehran, in particular against worshippers at the Assembly of God congregation in the capitol. Harassment has included conspicuous monitoring outside Christian premises by Revolutionary Guards to discourage Muslims or converts from entering church premises and demands for the presentation of the identity papers of worshippers inside."
Indeed, according to a Compass Iranian source, "Every single person present was put under arrest, blindfolded and taken in for interrogation." They were reportedly driven around for several hours with their eyes shielded in order to disorient them before they were questioned. According to reports, the questioning was conducted separately for each of the detainees, and the interrogators revealed extensive personal knowledge of the individuals and their families.
Tehran's constitution declares the "official religion of Iran is Islam and the doctrine followed is that of Ja'fari Shi'ism." The government severely restricts freedom of religion, particularly efforts by Christians to evangelize. Since conversion of a Muslim to another faith is considered apostasy under Shari'a law, non-Muslims who proselytize followers of Islam put their own lives at risk.
The State Department warns that Tehran "vigilantly enforces its prohibition on proselytizing activities by evangelical Christians by closing evangelical churches and arresting converts. Members of evangelical congregations have been required to carry membership cards, photocopies of which must be provided to the authorities. Worshippers are subject to identity checks by authorities posted outside congregation centers."
Iran's theocratic government has also pressured evangelical Christian groups to compile and submit membership lists for their congregations, but this demand has been resisted in the past.
The 70 or so Christians released after questioning this weekend were told not to attend church services this weekend, a moot point since their pastors were still being held incommunicado. "There will be no one to preach when the congregations gather for services," Compass Direct's source noted.
Six of the detained pastors are ordained and serve in six different cities in Iran. The other four are lay ministers and elders.
"This is the biggest crisis for evangelical believers in the country since three Protestant pastors were murdered 10 years ago," another source told Compass. One of those killed, Rev.Haik Hovsepian Mehr, was general secretary of the Assemblies of God in Iran. An outspoken advocate of religious freedom, he was one of a small number of pastors who refused to sign the government's declaration that his denomination would not allow Muslims to enter its churches.
Before his disappearance and murder, Rev. Hovsepian-Mehr had written, "If we die or go to jail for our faith, we want the whole Christian world to know what is happening. ... We have nothing else to lose. We have tolerated all these years and kept silent. Nothing has changed. ... Please don't worry about me. I am ready for anything."

Lord, once more the prince of Persian tries to raise it's ugly head. I rebuke the demonic power behind this move of the Iranian authorities. I rebuke the spirits of hate that are driving the men who ordered and carried out the arrests. I bind you over to Jesus for your punishment. I speak out protection for the men still held in custody! I speak out peace for their fear. I speak determination to their faith. I speak courage to their hearts and minds as they are questioned. Lord, break the back of the Islamic religion and remove iit from the earth. I rebuke the spirit of allah and bind it over to Jesus. Jesus, hold Your children close and comfort those who are martyred. Hold their Families close and protect them from the evil one. Protect them Lord and return them to their Families unharmed and whole. Lord I do not know how else to pray. Holy Spirit, work the Glory of God in Iran and bring about the Salvation of the leaders of this country. In the Name of Jesus, AMEN!

Dear Jesus Christ/Father God/Holy Spirit...The muslims and their beliefs and there ala god is like a mountain in front of all jews and christians and
jesus you said :
Matthew 17:20 (NLT)
"You didn't have enough faith," Jesus told them. "I assure you, even if you had faith as small as a mustard seed you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."
so jesus we come to you with our faith at least the size of a mustard seed and in the name of Jesus we stop all muslim hatred activities against the jews and christians now and forever.

Father God, please add my prayers for these Pastors to all the others. It is time for all religious persecution to stop!! Please send mighty angels to protect those who have been kidnapped. Open the way for these people to be freed without harm. Cover their families in a blanket of peacefulness and joy, knowing you will never abandon them in their time of need. Open the hearts and minds of these Muslim persecutors so that they can see they are being used in a diabolical plan to further hate, fear and prejudice worldwide. In Jesus name I pray along with all the others.

Father,
You promised your son Jesus that you would give him the heathen for His inheritance and you never back out on your promises. Bring the people of Iran to a saving knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (The only begotten Son of God the Father - Abraham looked for His day). Father, as the Church prayed for The Apostle Peter, who had been imprisoned and was scheduled to be next to be killed by the King, you sent an angel and delivered him from the jail. It is our desire that you also set these prisoners free. Strengthen and protect the believers and give them all boldness to speak forth the Gospel. And Father show forth signs and miracles through the name of your Son Jesus.
Let their mourning be turned to rejoicing and Your Name be Glorified through their faith and ours in Jesus Name!

Yes, Lord, I agree, deliver them and show yourself to the captors. Lord, let them see that you ARE! Let your spirit lead them into all truth, and send the angels to escort them from captivity, in the Name of Jesus we ask. Amen

Lord, I stand in agreement with these prayers. Strengthen and multiply these prayers as I add mine with them. In each reading of them, let them be prayed over again. I pray that a prayer covering is over these ministers and that it creates a shield of Your glory around them. I ask, Lord, for total protection, for angels upon angels, for the blood and for the Holy Spirit to be all over and around them. Let nothing evil penetrate. Let everything meant for evil be turned for good.
You love the Muslims, Lord. I know You wish to reach them. You came to seek and to save the lost. Let them be coming out of this false religion. Let them come to You. I pray for a mighty move of God in saving them in droves. I pray the power of the Holy Spirit to be poured out upon them. In Jesus Name, I beleive for it and claim it!
I thank You for how You are using this situation for Your glory!!! Father, I ask this all in Jesus Name, amen!

Finding YOU in 2004
P.S. Wake up the people of America to pray for our country, that we do not lose all our freedoms. Minister's freedom to only marry straight couoples is standing in the balance. Intervene, so Your church in America is not persecuted for standing for the sanctity of marriage as You designed it -- one man and one woman -- from the beginning. In Jesus Name, I ask, amen.

We lift up all the issues represented in this place dear Jesus.
We pray that you O God who draws all men to yourself, will draw
the Muslim community to their knees and to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We thank you Jesus because when you died on the cross, you took our place, and you bled and died to take away the sins of the world.
We pray for this countries, and the countries in the world where people are
constantly waring and without love for one another, that Lord, you will bring lasting peace into their lives as they desire to have peace for the generations after them. We pray Lord, that you will come through for those pastors who love you and are seeking you right now. Lord, give them release even as they fill their heavens with their cries.
Lord, we need you this moment, this hour, this day, and everyday of our lives. Be High and Lifted Up Father, and Be Praised, because YOU ALONE ARE WORTHY LORD, YOU ALONE ARE WORTHY. AMEN AND AMEN

John 16:2 - They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

Unfortunately, I would have to agree with the post that Omega has: In the Last Days before the return of the Lord, people all over are going to become more and more hateful toward Christians. Also, I really believe that religious persecution is coming to America, much worse than has already transpired here. We are already seeing the beginnings of it, so WAKE UP, AMERICAN CHRISTIANS!! WE ARE IN A SPIRITUAL BATTLE, AND IT'S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE!

Iranian Police Release 10 Evangelical Pastors
by Compass Direct
ISTANBUL, September 13 (Compass) -- Ten evangelical church leaders arrested four days ago by Iranian police were released last night from their unknown detention site. All pastors and elders in Iran’s Assemblies of God Church, the 10 men were set free on Sunday night, “quite late in the night,” an Iranian Christian source confirmed.
After their release, the pastors were allowed to return to Tehran to stay with their families or friends in the capital or nearby Karaj. Those living in other cities were returning home today to Rasht, Urumiyeh, Ahwaz and Boshahr, church sources said.
The pastors reportedly were not given any specific reason for their arrest, although they were asked “many questions about themselves and each other,” one source said.
Due to police surveillance monitoring their movements and telephone conversations, the pastors have not made direct contact with other evangelical believers since their release.
Together with 70 other Assemblies of God Church leaders, the pastors had convened at a church center in Karaj for their annual general conference on September 9 when the arrests occurred. Police officials swarmed onto the property that morning, blindfolding all the men and women present and taking them off to be fingerprinted and interrogated.
All the detainees were released by nightfall except for the 10 pastors and elders, who were held incommunicado until their release Sunday night.
Reportedly the church leaders had refused to name any one person among them as their top leader, prompting the police to arrest the entire group en masse. Last week’s police crackdown was the largest known arrest of Iranian evangelical believers in the past decade.
The murderers of three of Iran’s leading Protestant pastors 10 years ago have never been brought to justice. Assemblies of God leader Rev. Haik Hovsepian-Mehr was murdered in January 1994, shortly after launching a successful international campaign to free Mehdi Dibaj, a long-time convert to Christianity jailed for nine years.
Six months later, Dibaj was also killed, followed days later by the disappearance and murder of Rev. Tateos Michaelian, a Presbyterian pastor.
Since its declaration as an Islamic state in 1979, Iran has clamped down harshly on its Protestant citizens and even closed the Iranian Bible Society. A large number of evangelical churches have been closed for worship, their buildings confiscated and known converts to Christianity put under arrest.
Under Islamic law enforced in Iran, a Muslim who converts to Christianity faces the death penalty.

One is still jailed please pray
One Iranian Pastor Still Jailed
by Compass Direct
ISTANBUL, September 14 (Compass) -- Protestant church leaders in Iran learned this morning that one of 10 evangelical pastors reportedly released from detention by police authorities on September 12 is still being held incommunicado.Assemblies of God Pastor Hamid Pourmand, 47, has not returned to his home in Bandar-i Bushehr, nor has he been in touch with any of his relatives or friends. He is presumed to remain under police arrest in the Karaj-Tehran area, where he was initially detained with other church leaders on September 9.
Eighty leaders of Iran’s Assemblies of God Church had convened for their annual general conference in Karaj when police swarmed into the church-owned center on the morning of September 9. All were blindfolded and taken away to be fingerprinted and interrogated. Although most were released by evening, the 10 pastors among them were held for questioning for four days. (See Compass Direct, “Iranian Police Release 10 Evangelical Pastors,” September 13.)
When the other pastors were released separately late in the night of September 12, they were strictly warned not to contact one another or other members of the church. So it was not until this morning that the Assemblies of God leadership discovered that in fact Pourmand was still missing.
A former Muslim who converted to Christianity nearly 25 years ago, Pourmand pastors a congregation in Bandar-i Bushehr, along the Persian Gulf in southern Iran. He and his wife, who is of Assyrian Christian background, have two children.
Since the government-ordered execution of convert pastor Hussein Soodmand in Mashhad in December 1990, the Islamic Republic of Iran has enacted a harsh crackdown against the country’s evangelical churches and various house-church movements accused of evangelizing Muslims.
Another long-term convert to Christianity, Assemblies of God pastor Mehdi Dibaj was murdered in July 1994. After being jailed for nine years for refusing to recant his Christian faith and return to Islam, Dibaj was killed just six months after his release from prison.
Two years later, the body of Pastor Mohammed Bagher Yusefi was found hanging in the forest near his home in Sari, in northern Iran’s Mazandaran province. Survived by his wife and two children, 34-year-old Yusefi had converted to Christianity 10 years earlier.
Over the past decade, local Protestant congregations who allow Muslims to visit their services or are suspected of baptizing former Muslims converting to Christianity have been harshly suppressed by the Iranian authorities.
“Government actions create a threatening atmosphere for some religious minorities,” last year’s U.S. State Department report on religious freedom in Iran declared, “especially Baha’is, Jews and evangelical Christians.”
