Did everyone get the joke that was sent by Jerry about the atheist, God and the bear? Well it made me laugh so hard and the first person I thought I would send it to is my son who claims to be an atheist to the point that he made it part of the news on his wedding day when they gave out the schedule for the services the fact that he is a died in the wool atheist was mentioned. He is only 26.

I sent him the joke in spite of the fact that he has told me in the past not to send christian emails but because it was so funny I thought I could get away with it. Here is his response.

Dear Mom,

I love you but this email is in poor taste. What kind of a god would be vindictive enough to let a bear eat a man just to prove a point. Besides, I think many Christians have been eaten by bears, lions, kimodo dragons etc.

Your Son,
Bear food.

I think it is funny that he signs his name as Bear Food. Also, I think that he has thought through the fact that God is Good and is loving and not vindictive. At any rate, I would like to know what others think and most of all I would appreciate your prayers for my son and his wife to come to know the mercy and goodness and love of our Lord.

Your making me laugh too at the bear food comment LOL, but is not funny when he is blind and is going astray.. Jesus rock this persons son world with your shekinah glory cloud in every area of his life wherever he goes causing him to have a sense that you are with him drawing him unto you to be saved and that your not going to give up on him until he is saved...

Yes, Lord, save this son! I was thinking the same thing. When the bear ate the atheist and he was in hell, he was a believer then.... but it was too late!
Lord, I pray that this son comes to You in repentence! If he can't come to You out of being too skeptical, I pray Your LOVE reaches him. LOVE is our greatest weapn -- not arguments or clever words or ANY of that. I heard of a man who got saved because rather than the minister arguing with him about why God is the designer of everything, he showed concern for the fact that he was going to hell and needed a Savior. He simply witnessed to him about Jesus Christ, and that led the guy to get saved! The guy said no-one had ever done THAT before. So send someone across this young man's path to share the love of Jesus Christ to him, through words and actions! In Jesus Name, we ask and pray, amen!!!

Thank you for praying for my son. I claim in the name of Jesus that the promise of me and my house being saved is true. I know that it is all in God's perfect timing and I am convinced that the enemy has fouled my son's head up with the false doctrines so that he has rejected all religions entirely. He is swayed by the philosophy of objectivism which is what Ayn Rand wrote about in her many books which espoused athesitic belief as the intelligent choice.

We who are saved know that faith is a choice. My son is very special just as every mom's son is special but to me he is a special miracle because I had two hospitals tell me I would never have a child. He came to me in such a tender, gentle way as only an infant can. I love him very much and I know God is love and loves my son too. I know that Our Father loves all of His children and that it is not His will that anyone perish.

There were stumbling blocks in my son's path that I know about and I pray that the Good Lord turns those stumbling blocks into stepping stones.

Thank you for anyone who joins with me in praying for my son's salvation together with his bride of one year... that they both be saved and become mighty workers for the Good Lord. They are both talented, loving individuals. Their names are Nelson and Kathleen. Thank you for your prayers.

God bless you for your prayers and concerns and may all your love ones come to the Lord also.

Lord, please save Nelson and Kathleen. I pray they find their way home to You. Lord, I ask for someone to show them Your love or for You to visit them in a vision or in Person and show them Your love. I ask for miraculous intervention that interrupts their way of reasoning. I pray they will know of Your great love and come home to You, in Jesus Name, amen.
