Thanks be to God who loves me just as I am. This word was given to me last Sunday. I was told this before but sin apon sin caused me to doubt and a personal word from a pastor helped. I want out from sin. But it comforts me to know just that God loves me and is pleased with me just as I am.

I am struggling with what you are saying. I know God loves me beyond my understanding. I know he loves me unconditionally. God is there calling our name everyday to follow him. He loves us no matter what, but just because he loves me does not mean he is pleased with us. Especially if I persist in sin. God loved the moneychangers in the temple. I don't think Jesus was pleased when he overturned the tables. He had definate feelings about their sin. When Christ on the cross, bore our sins, he felt the separation from God and cried out My God My God why have you forsaken me. Sin separates us from God and I can't imagine the Lord being pleased with that.

Lord, I thank you so much for Tatian.
I thank you, Lord, that your love is not based on our behavior.
I thank you that your love does not come and go. I thank you that your love STAYS.
Bless Tatian and lead Tatian into freedom from sin.
Guard Tatian every step of the way.
Thank you, Lord!
In Jesus' Name, Amen

You are right in saying that God loves you just as you are, but this does not include loving your sin. Sin separates us from God, and anyone who is not confessed up, and repentant over their sins, has a boundary that separates them from having the closeness with God that is caused by those sins. God cannot be pleased with us if we have allowed sins to come between Him and us, and I am not condemning you, I speak this for all of us. Now if one has repented of the sins, confessing them to God, He HAS forgiven them, and anything further is from the enemy, for God has thrown our sins as far as the east is from the west.
Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
However, if one does not confess their sins, ask forgiveness from them, it may be the prompting of God to ask forgiveness from those sins, so there does not become a wedge between us and Him. God chastens those whom He loves, and thus brings us to repentance.
Deu 8:5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
Psa 94:12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
Pro 3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world
Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

God takes pleasure not in sins but in the sonliness of sons, who are also seeking to come into the fullness of sonship and daughters too. Out from sin.
You take pleasure in the sight of your children even when they play up don't you?
I agree with the verses on discipline and appreciate Rachel's prayer.
