I'd like to hear more about this. We talk about last days and I believe like many that we're in them. I have 2 things that have been on my mind alot. The first one is that the Aztec Calendar which is called the most precise calendar ever, ends in the year 2012. Now seeing as we will soon enter the year 2005, that leaves 7 years before 2012. I'm not making suggestions, I'm saying it does make me curious, hopeful... that yes the tribulation is imminent. I have studied pre, mid, and post, but as my Dad says, "I'm Pro...I'm FOR Jesus coming back again." Now I'd be crazy if I said that I'm not praying and hoping that He comes for us PRE, but irregardless of when, at least it is of comfort to know its close. He will bring us through whatever He brings us to. The other thing is The Jewish calendar I think its been nearly 6000 years since the beginning. As a mirror to creation, on the 7th day, God rested. A thousand years is as a day... you know what I mean? Just some more food for thought, but even without this, we know that all of creation is groaning... it has got to be soon.

of course, I don't know how we know when everyone has heard the gospel.

I am not familiar with the Aztec calendar, but I do know that the Mayan Indian calendar ends on December 21, 2012!

I was recently reading from the book of Adam, one of the books contained in the dead sea scrolls, about the timeframe of the second coming. "God said to Adam. I have ordained on this earth days and years, and you and your descendants shall live and walk in them, until the days and years are fulfilled; when I shall send the Word that created you, and against which you have transgressed, the Word that made you come out of the garden, and that raised you when you were fallen. Yes the Word that will again save you when the five and a half days are fulfilled" (5,500 years)

World History generally begins recordings as 2,500 BC and since then and additional 2004 years. No one really knows for sure about the pre-recorded times such as 1. The creation, 2. The fall of man 3. The flood 4. The tower of Babel all which pre-dated the earliest recordings.

Bottome line is this: Jesus is coming again, very soon. The prophet Joel warns us that in the end there would be an outpouring of the Spirit of God. There would be signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth.

Mount St. Helens is about to erupt again, after being dormant for 20 years. Lava has been seen seeping through the crater last week.

Nine inches of rain fell in Southern California recently. It usually doesn't rain there. Last summer one-inch hail fell in downtown LA, in Watts. This in the middle of summer!

Recently there was a typhoon in Japan, an earthquake there a couple of weeks ago.

Earthquale in southern California a few weeks ago.

Four Hurricanes hit Florida in less than 30 days!

--Signs and Wonders, in the heavens and on earth!

These are warning signs! We should heed these warnings! You don't continue to drive down a road after seeing several warning signs that say the road is about to end. You turn around or change directions! That is what we need to do--turn around or change directions in our lives. And pray!

HisGrace- unless others have been found, between the calendar in the pyramid "Cheops", the 3 calendars of Thele, Reese and Larken- Christian chronologists, the Aztec and Mayen calendars, all show 10-15 years of difference between them. Every calendar shows human discrepancies in it's figures. This is why Christ declared no man knows, not even Him- Christ, but God only, when Jesus will return. Tho our calendar of today shows 2005, that don't mean it's really there. Still could be in the 1990's yet according to God's absolute accurate timing. Tho I do suggest, God gave us this reckoning of spance in time, to have a better idea when Christ's return will be very close. Take care- God Bless!!

Before anything happens there will be a World Revival first, Has God really shown His true power, healing and delivering power??? Every man and woman have to hear the Gospel first. 50% of World's Population will be taken. Remember Matthew 24:38-42....2 men in the field 1 will be taken, 2 women in the field 1 will be taken. That's 50% of Worlds population. Currently its around 6.8 Billion so for estimation sakes by that time it will be 3.5 Billion people raptured.

Theres one last note to be reckoned with here as well. Actually 2. 1- Thelle, reese and Larken who I mentioned before, have traced the chronological calendars based from the Bible, from man's creation to the end of 6,000 years. As mentioned tho, keep in mind they all have discrepancies in thier calendars for figures. 2- People like to forget other Prophecies God declares such as- "in the latter days, some shall depart from the faith." We've been witnessing multitudes, in the thousands from all denominations leaving the faith going over to following false doctrines, getting involved in witchcraft and other abominable practices against God. thus, we can easily understand, according to statistics, 1/2 the population of the earth could never get saved according to Scriptural teachings, if take all of them into account. God Bless!

Can somebody explain me why the calendar ends in 2012?

And how is decided who gets saved and who doesn't?

Posted by: Christian Commando

God and Christ both declare in the bible that man will see and know the "signs of the times". The reason for different calendar ending dates I suggest is the reason God declares and Christ, no man knows. not even Christ, but God only, when His return will be. that would explain so many different ending dates for all known calendars. God Bless!!

One last note Frederik- we've discussed God's omnicient- all knowing ability before. You the answer to that one. God Bless!

of course it does, this is one thing which has to be fulfilled before Jesus comes back.

Keep in mind, the population growth of the world is growing so fast, not all people will hear the Gospel. The world has alot of babies and very small children being born or too young to care about such things during that time, who will not hear it before the Rapture.

MamaCat- in Matt. 24:14 Christ declared the Gospel shall be preached around the whole world before it comes to an end. (The world as we know it). God Bless!!

Well, let's take a gander!

Matthew 24:14 NIV And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:14 KJV And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Matthew 24:14 AMP And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

So, the gospel will be preached in and throughout the world....then the end, however, it doesn't mean every person will HEAR it.

Picking nits? Perhaps.

God bless ya bro!
