I know a christian who goes on such a party and he seems to think that it's okay. He says you cannot be the salt of the earth when you sit at home.
I don't know.
Do you think Jesus would have gone to a Halloween party?
I mean Jesus also ate with sinners and the only ones which complained were the hypocrites. What if we're not better than them?

I don't know about Jesus, but I wouldn't since Halloween to me is a pagan Holiday and since I am not a pagan anymore but a christian, I don't participate in this cult rituals any longer. If a child comes to my door I'll pass out candy. If an adult comes I give them a bible...

I don't know, maybe we are Frederik.

I don't go anywhere on Holloween because I like to keep tabs on the neighborhood... it can get a little wild...

but I have gone to parties and dressed up, I don't care to because I don't like the ugly costumes people wear.

I don't watch alot of movies because they are also 'ugly', my kids learned early that if Mom said something was ugly there wasn't any chance of getting me to go or do whatever it was.

This stems from childhood nightmares more than anything else though, I still have nightmares if I cannot get away from an ugly movie or tv show at someones house. I just plain don't like "scarey" or "ugly" stuff.

I had more of a fight on my hands when I said nothing with magic or new age garbage in it for my Grandson to watch when he lived with us, that cuts out most Disney movies and almost all cartoons. I even caught flak from my husband.

You should have heard the flap when I blocked out everything 'R' rated and above on the TV!

Our Church has a childrens event for the members kids and the nieghborhood called 'Noah's Ark' the church kids are to come as animals or characters from the bible, The kids from the nieghborhood come however they are dressed and they get candy and play games and we love on them and their parents! It is a mad house! with over 500 kids! and at least one parent each!!! EEK!!! I definately don't go! EEK!!!

I don't know but often I feel like if Jesus lived in our times I would be one of the guys criticizing him.
I don't want to be religious or legalistic but somehow we all are legalistic.
I think we all have our little rules which we try to defend. Some say christians must not watch horror movies, others say christians must not listen to heavy metal and they try to force these rules on others.

Instead of asking that say this: If Jesus was right now on this earth in physical form where would he be this may shock very many. Do you think is is 24/7 in churches NO. He would be where he was when he was on this earth around a full company of sinners being the light in the middle of them all going after that one soul who is lost no matter the environment it was in. Christians these days are more manicured and to petty to be where sinners really are so they stay in there pews not doing anything and just hope someone is out there doing something. I hear the ruffling of some peoples feathers on that one.. Good its time for change and the old ways out the door. If every Christian would simply let the Holy Spirit be after one soul through them the world would be saved very quick.. Just one

The closest I got to Halloween this year is going to mass and then a meeting with my friends for All Saints Day celebration.

I agree, though... I was sad to see how many poeple fall to sin on the night of Halloween... as if the holiday is an excuse to act as pagans...

Matthew 9:12-13 "But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I WILL HAVE MERCY, AND NOT SACRIFICE: For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

Mark 2:17 "When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of ther physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

Luke 5:32 "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

I would never go to a halloween party because if you do you are worshipping Satan and not The Lord God of hosts
