Adware - Spyware

I use Symantec against invasion by demons on my computer, and it will not mind me when I try to delete adware on my Norton AntiVirus scans.

Does anyone know of a system I can buy that works better?

Are you wanting something to deal with spyware and/or adware? We use SpyBot search and destroy, and I have not had a problem with it. It is also free.

Haha... you called spyware and adware a demon... By the appearance of it's great multitude, it must be the Legion... and our computers must be the swine driven into the lake after the casting out of the demoniac...

go to www.downloads.com and download adaware (lavasoft adaware). That should remove most of it.

Your lacking ability to clean up your computer doesn't qualify spyware as demonic... it results in the conclusion that you are computer illiterate

Adaware is free and should take care of most of your problems

Hey, thanks guys! Spybot took care of the problems.....praise to God and generous people! You are right, I am a computer illiterate! I am becoming more educated.....and am thankful to friends like you all for sharing.

I am glad that Spybot took care of the problem. I prefer it above Adaware...in fact, I think SpyBot search and destroy says adaware IS spyware heheh.
Key things sis... don't download things not reliable, and do not open emails from anyone you do not know... it will help a lot in keeping those nasty "demons" at bay
p.s. I ain't dissin' adaware, in fact I think my hubby uses it... but he also uses spybot... I just prefer spybot.

I was told that if you use both then you should not have any problems. If one misses a problem then the other will catch it. And spybot does say that adware is spyware or something along those lines.

Thanks, MamaCat, for making me feel better about the possession thing. I know the computer has made me manifest a time or two. It is good to know we are not alone, ha!

I will continue to use both on my computer, as you all have suggested. We can never have too much protection!

spybot is the best on market. Go to www.zdnet.com for a free download of program. Also try lavasoft-ad ware program.

I'm downloading SpyBot based on all your recommendations, and am reading the agreement which includes this from the creator:
