History Of The Body?

Bearing in mind that our bodies are mostly water and that much of our soft tissues are replaced over the years, why does sex sin matter so much? Our bodies are largely flushed of materials so that what is here now mostly won't be here in twenty years.

Is there something recorded in our blue prints, ie our DNA?

And what about those mansions in Heaven, are they altogether new bodies or are they mansions these ones will enter into after glorification?

If we can ask for anything, why not a new body?

Lord God, there is ONE THING that is paramount. One thing that You are calling Your children to do: That is to seek You and You alone! Who knows why our bodies being mostly water relates to sex sin being so bad? The real issue is: Sex sin separates us from You, and we have no busieness being involoved in it, period. I pray that Your children will turn their eyes on You, Jesus, and get them off all these periphial (sp?) things! If a person falls deeply in love with You, they will be whole, and they will not use sex to medicate their pain. I pray for people to get WHOLE, by seeking You only, Jesus, and that they will become healed and not be running after the things of the flesh and the world to satisfy. Your people have forsaken You, the fountain of living waters (aha! why sex sin is so bad -- YOU should be our fountain of satisfaction, NOT sex!!!). They have hewn cisterns that are broken.... used sex to satisfy, when it only leaves them more empty! They have gone days without number without seeking You! (See Jeremiah 2). Lord God, call Your people to seek You as You have never called them before. Wake Your people up to the call to seek You! In Jesus Name, I pray, amen!

It is not so much the BODY, but the carnal nature that gets us into troubles. The body cannot do anything on it's own.it is the "thoughts" which cause the body to sin, not the flesh itself. It matters because God says it does. It matters because the two become one, and not only in body, but also in spirit, joining one another in a manner that God reserved for marriage, and not for sexual gratification just to appease the flesh with anyone the person may feel like having sex with.
And as far as those mansions in heaven...
John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
In the Strong's concordance, the word for mansion is as thus:
G3438 μονή

monē mon-ay'
From G3306; a staying, that is, residence (the act or the place): - abode, mansion.

And since it is 4 in the morning here, I will let Barnes Commentary say more on this, as I am quite tired, and need to rest.
John 14:2-3 - In my Father’s house - Most interpreters understand this of heaven, as the special dwelling-place or palace of God; but it may include the universe, as the abode of the omnipresent God.
Are many mansions - The word rendered "mansions" means either the act of dwelling in any place (
Joh_14:23, "we will make our abode with him"), or it means the place where one dwells. It is taken from the verb to remain, and signifies the place where one dwells or remains. It is applied by the Greek writers to the tents or temporary habitations which soldiers pitch in their marches. It denotes a dwelling of less permanency than the word house. It is commonly understood as affirming that in heaven there is ample room to receive all who will come; that therefore the disciples might be sure that they would not be excluded. Some have understood it as affirming that there will be different grades in the joys of heaven; that some of the mansions of the saints will be nearer to God than others, agreeably to 1Co_15:40-41. But perhaps this passage may have a meaning which has not occurred to interpreters.
Jesus was consoling his disciples, who were affected with grief at the idea of his separation. To comfort them he addresses them in this language: "The universe is the dwelling-place of my Father. All is his house. Whether on earth or in heaven, we are still in his habitation. In that vast abode of God there are many mansions. The earth is one of them, heaven is another. Whether here or there, we are still in the house, in one of the mansions of our Father, in one of the apartments of his vast abode. This we ought continually to feel, and to rejoice that we are permitted to occupy any part of his dwelling-place. Nor does it differ much whether we are in this mansion or another. It should not be a matter of grief when we are called to pass from one part of this vast habitation of God to another. I am indeed about to leave you, but I am going only to another part of the vast dwelling-place of God. I shall still be in the same universal habitation with you; still in the house of the same God; and am going for an important purpose - to fit up another abode for your eternal dwelling." If this be the meaning, then there is in the discourse true consolation. We see that the death of a Christian is not to be dreaded, nor is it an event over which we should immoderately weep. It is but removing from one apartment of God’s universal dwelling-place to another - one where we shall still be in his house, and still feel the same interest in all that pertains to his kingdom. And especially the removal of the Saviour from the earth was an event over which Christians should rejoice, for he is still in the house of God, and still preparing mansions of rest for His people. If it were not so ... - I have concealed from you no truth. You have been cherishing this hope of a future abode with God. Had it been ill founded I would have told you plainly, as I have told you other things. Had any of you been deceived, as Judas was, I would have made it known to you, as I did to him."I go to prepare a place for you - By his going is meant his death and ascent to heaven. The figure here is taken from one who is on a journey, who goes before his companions to provide a place to lodge in, and to make the necessary preparations for their entertainment. It evidently means that he, by the work he was yet to perform in heaven, would secure their admission there, and obtain for them the blessings of eternal life. That work would consist mainly in his intercession,
Heb_10:12-13, Heb_10:19-22; Heb_7:25-27; Heb_4:14, Heb_4:16.That where I am - This language could be used by no one who was not then in the place of which he was speaking, and it is just such language as one would naturally use who was both God and man - in reference to his human nature, speaking of his going to his Father; and in reference to his divine nature, speaking as if he was then with God.Ye may be also - This was language eminently fitted to comfort them. Though about to leave them, yet he would not always be absent. He would come again at the day of judgment and gather all his friends to himself, and they should be ever with him, Heb_9:28. So shall all Christians be with him. And so, when we part with a beloved Christian friend by death, we may feel assured that the separation will not be eternal. We shall meet again, and dwell in a place where there shall be no more separation and no more tears.

peripheral or not it is important, not an excuse for sin. It makes me want to turn to God for the answer, the cure. A hurt history means ask for restoration, in Jesus blood, often. In a potential ministry...

Knowing helps us pray more accurately.

For example, sin is in the blood from Adam, flesh from Eve. The next generation by Jesus blood can have less sin in it than in this one by Jesus powerful blood. This is a discussion and I want to read ideas.

Dear Tatian,

Sexual sin connects you to a person that you are not supposed to be connected to. You become 'one' with your spouse, but you are not supposed to connect sexually with anyone else.

That spirit connection, that chain from your soul to their soul, is a bad and painful thing. That chain can be broken by speaking in Jesus' Name, repenting of the sin and renouncing the tie and commanding that it be broken. I have seen much more success if this is done as a prayer of agreement with more than one person present.

The body is damaged because the body has been opened through sin to the access of the enemy. It is like giving the enemy a key to your house. Not a good idea. Repent, and take back the key and put on the armor of God and refuse to let him back in.

Sexual sin is important because God wants to protect us from the damage it does. The consequences of it go on and on, even from generation to generation. Breaking the generational ties is important to getting real victory over sexual sin problems.

The point of sexual sin doesn't begin with the act, it begins with the thought. Jesus said very clearly that to think about sexual sin is to commit it. Getting free to the point of never allowing a sexual thought takes lots of work and support.

The Everyman's Battle books might help with this information.

The mansions in heaven are not bodies, they are houses. The bodies will be glorified and live in the mansions. It is a big, big building program. I am trying to lay up treasure in THAT mansion. I want to have a nice house waiting for me!

Always glad to discuss,

Rachel R

I am sorry that you do not like my way of "discussion". I use Bible verses to show what it says in God's word, and that is part of how I discuss. You seem to have a problem with sexual areas, as shown in many of the posts that you have put on the board. There is a website called settingcaptivesfree .com without the spaces... here is the url if it shows up... I don't know if it will... they have some very good courses on their website. http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com/home/
What is this sin is in the blood because of Adam, flesh from Eve. They BOTH sinned, and were both guilty.

About Adam and Eve. We are their descendants, and inherit from them our traits and sinful nature. If they had not sinned, and I know they did, then we would have inherited their glory.

As with Jesus, God the Father and Mary Jesus mother and Jesus himself. We inherit our blood from our fathers, our flesh from our mothers and our spirit is from God. Jesus blood had no sin.

Because Adam sinned, sin was in his blood, and thus in ours too. And in our flesh from Eve. There is something mysterious going on. How does our actions get recorded in us for the next generation? Then too Jesus blood can change that sinful nature and add to us righteousness instead. For a holier next generation. Glory to God.

God has said that sex outside of marriage is sin. He records our sin. The only thing that erases that is Jesus's blood. Reading the Bible will give us the answers to many of our questions. Sex with somene unites us to them psychologically and halts our spiritual growth. It also ruins our relationships with our current or future spouse.

Even though our bodies are chemicals and water, sex does transmit many illnesses which do not have cures. As each cell dies, it passes on the infection to new cells first. Some of these illnesses without cures are Human Papilloma Virus which cause cancer, herpes which can predispose to cancers and birth defects, and Aids(which kills).

God states that the "wages of sin is death". God does not lie. I pray that each one of us, including myself, will keep this in mind for each area of our lives. We have joy when living victoriously.
