After years of deep pain and estrangement, God has begun a major healing between my Dad and I. God intervened, and we both have agreed to focus on 1 Corinthians 13.4-7 love, to study, and try to live by it. Please pray God will continue this healing, as there is the temptation to be afraid of returning to the old ways that are so terribly destructive. Thank you for standing with me for this ongoing healing and transformation of love.

My Dad has asked me to come have dinner with he and my mom tonight (he's 74, she's 64), and I am praying it will be part of the continued healing. I want the last years of his life to be the best, in terms of healing, walking with God, growing in love.

You both are so bless to have this chance to reconcile, God has promised that he will turn the hearts of the farther's to their children and the children back to their father's.
I pray for Favor of God in your relationship between each outher.
Find a Men's group, get involved with the things of God together.
Promise Keepers is a good place to start.

Lord, I ask that you continue to make your way known. Bless the father and the son. Allow for them to have a relationship that benefits You and allows for the angels to sing out in praise to Your name.

Thank you both for your prayers and encouragement. I'm helping my Dad move house today. We both need prayers to overcome anger and self-centeredness. I think this will go a long way to helping the healing process. Also, please pray we will find a good men's group to be involved in, like Promise Keepers. We live in a small town, and sometimes it's hard to find things like that. I pray the Lord's blessing on you both, and thank you for caring.

I will be praying today for you both.
When those angey feels come up, try to talk with each other about it, from whereever they come from find a away for forgiveness.
Maybe stop then and pray. Invite God into the problem right at that time.
Your are building a New Relationship
Even if it does not get resolved. Get to Jesus and let him start with the process. This will help to stop the enemy in his tracks.
The mistake that we have made is our relationships is that whatever the problems or sins that has happen we want full healing and forgiveness at that piont in time. Hurts dont just go away. A cut finger don't heal over night, or nor does a broken leg.
We put to many demands on us and Jesus in building a relationships.
Relationship are Built over time.
My heart is so happy for you both.
