Hostages

Father, in Jesus' Name we ask You to protect those who have become prisoners of war (hostages) in whatever country they have been taken captive in. Wrap an electrified shield around each one of them that no flesh or weapon can penetrate for any harm.

We pray that You will rebuke the devourer that attempts to hurt any of Your children, Lord. That You will cause all the plans of the enemy to be discovered and dismantled ahead of time. Allow our leaders to make good decisions, Lord, and give them favor in their positions of leadership. Let our troops footsteps be sure and safe. Let them move with stealth and speed.

We pray that distrust will begin in the camps of our enemies, and let them be divided against each other, so that they fail at every step. Let their works be spotlighted by everybody who has eyes to see and ears to hear and a mouth to pass it on, in Jesus' Name. Allow their camps to separate and be unable to locate each other because of miscommunication.

Let those that hate us be clothed with shame, and the dwelling places of the wicked be made useless, we ask. Let the enemy fall asleep. Let their arms be too heavy to lift any weapon of destruction. Let them trip over their own feet. Cause their conversation to be confused. Let them forget where they are going, and forget what they were going to do when they get there. Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name we ask You to teach them a better way to live.
