This is story one out of 50 from my book, My Walk with the Lord.

2 Kings 20.1 "In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live."

This is a short version...One Tuesday morning, I went to an 11 A.M. prayer meeting at a local church. Names on a list were called out; some were sick, some were in need of salvation. I recognized the name of the husband of one of the women attending the prayer meeting. He was a good man, attended church, but had never been born again. As his name was called out, the Lord spoke to me and said, "I want you to go see this man after this meeting is over." The command was urgent, so as soon as the meeting was over, I drove the three miles to see him.

I knocked on his door, he came to the door, opened it and asked me, "What are you doing here?" I replied, "I came to pray for you." He tried to change the subject. Suddenly, the anointing of the Lord came on me, and I looked directly in his eyes and said, "Get your affairs in order, you are about to die." He looked at me in a shocked manner, and I said, "Now, let me pray for you." He sat down in his easy chair, and I laid my hands on him and began to pray and asked the Lord to reveal his love to this man.

Immediately, Jesus came and His presence filled the place. The man was born again. I saw the tears flow and felt the blessed assurance. He told his family what had happened and testified to his spiritual rebirth.

Saturday night, four days after he was born again, he went home to be with the Lord.

Lord, I pray that whosoever reads these words would recognize the shortness of our life here on earth. They would understand the everlasting importance of being born again.

John 3.3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Thank you for sharing this with all of us. Something similar was pointed out by the Spirit to me in a vision one time. It took all the courage I had to follow through and I was scared to death.

Never assume someone has been reborn, just because they sit in a church pew beside you and shout praises to the Lord! We must trust God and move in obedience.

The woman I was sent to had been reborn, but she said it wasn't too long ago that she was. She is a spirit-filled woman and was eager to support someone who needed more wisdom (me), since I was new in the Spirit.

A true Spirit filled person will not be offended because you asked, I think. Maybe they might be encouraged because someone besides themselves was trying to please the Lord. God knows........

I am glad you obeyed.

Thank you for posting this. Just going to church, or listening to Christian music isn't going to save anyone. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior and asking Him into your heart, and allowing Him to change you is being born again. There are so many who commit adultry and think that going to church every Sunday will make everything ok, etc...

Lord, open the eyes of the lost and deceived. Let the scales fall out of their eyes, and take the cotton out of their ears. In Jesus name. Amen, and Amen!

Thank your Irvin for these wonderful testimonies.

Can I get you to pray for some of the people though.

I would count it an honor to see you stand with us and pray for the salvation of so many in need of prayer.

Lord, we pray for Teri's husband, her children Billy and Christian. For Grace (and John's whole side of the family). We ask You to give each one of them the desires of their hearts. Lord, multiply the believers in both sides of this family, in Jesus' Name we ask it....Amen.
