Story: A Year To Live
One day a girl came home from school and said to her mother, "Today in class we talked about what we would do if we had five million dollars and only one year to live. The problem is: how would we spend our money. Mary said that she would move to Disney Land, and Bobby said that he would buy every video game that was ever made. What would you do?" And the mother answered, "I think that I would spend more time with you and the rest of the family. I would take an early morning walk and watch the sunrise. I would spend time with my friends. And I would spend more time in prayer with God." When the mother finished, the girl spoke up and said, "But, mom, you haven't said how you would spend any of the money." And the mother replied, "As far as I am concerned, the problem is not how to spend the five million dollars. The problem is how to spend the year."

Prayer
Lord, If I knew I had only one year to live, I wonder how I would live it?
Today I am going to spend a few minutes thinking about how I would answer
that question. After I think about it I really should ask myself this
question: How should I live THIS day? I wonder what I would do today, how
would I act today, if I knew that THIS day were to be the last day of my
life? So, Jesus, let me spend THIS day well, trying to get closer to You and
to my loved ones.
Amen.

This is a question we probably all should try to answer. Tim McGraw has a song out called "Live Like You Were Dying," and I think it's pretty cool. Just the title is enough to stir your spirit.
