Fear

I had a dream this morning. When I woke up I looked at the clock and it said 3:39 a.m.

I dreamed that I heard motors running outside and I went to look out the front door. There was a white motorcycle and it was revving its engine out beside our vehicles in the street, in front of our house.

All of a sudden I knew I was supposed to shut and lock the door. I almost didn't get the knob turned in time before I heard the screen door get jerked open and someone started banging on the door. They banged so hard that the door started to splinter and bow out around the deadbolt.

I ran through the house yelling, "Somebody's trying to get in! Somebody's trying to get in!"

That was the end of the dream. There was such a spirit of fear on me that when I woke up, I immediately began to pray for people who have been attacked and are being attacked by terrorists.

I just asked God to teach us what to do, in Jesus' Name.

There has to be another way besides pulling the machine guns out of our back pockets and taking control ourselves, to give God control over the situation.

Jesus had authority over the demons controlling the man in the cemetery. He didn't have to kill the man to stop the behavior. Also the man in the synagogue...Jesus just told the evil to be quiet and go.

Mark 1:27 "And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits and they do obey him."

Does anyone practice this in their everyday life? My husband said terrorists need to be killed and that is the only way to stop them. But, you know and I know, it is not working!

I believe that if there was a group of people anywhere in the world who could solve this horrible problem, it would be the people who know the only God Who exists in this world.

Is anyone interested in discussing this?

Hi Carol:

I have dreams like this all the time and I will tell you what I was told and know from experience.

This was more than a dream. You were seeing into the spirit realm and you were being shown an attack against you. You did shut the door and that is important because it is showing you that you left yourself open in some way, the door is shut now and no matter how hard the demonic attack is you need to remember that in the spirit realm you hold all the weapons, you do not need to fear.

Start speaking, even in your dreams, the Word and stand against the attack.

I have seen the doors to my house bulge in attack as you discribed and I know how scarey that is the first time you see it.

Call out to Jesus for your help, He will send it. He is there already He just wants you to learn to speak and bring the angels at your command to the battle for you. My dreams usually stop when I begin speaking the Word or yell for Jesus! Some dreams are scarier than others.

If you stop to think about it, the house in your dream is probably not the house you live in, mine isn't. I could probably draw a picture of it.

Spiritual warfare is sometimes held in our sleep and our minds give us pictures we can understand. I do not pretend to know alot about it but I do know that it happens and that the Word of God and the Name of Jesus stops the attacks, leaning on what you know and relying on the Spirit to cover the rest is the best course to take.

Fear is something you overcome by standing in the face of fear and denying it entry by the Name of Jesus.

Remember that Jesus is your shield of Faith, nothing the enemy can throw at you can penetrate through Him.

The Sword of the Spirit and the Word of God are your weapons, use them.

Follow the Voice of the Spirit and you will know what to do, His voice is there, listen for it.

Don't be afraid to ask God what to do, He will answer you.

Father, I ask that You remove Carol's fear that came from this dream and show her the meaning of the dream. Give her peace as she sleeps and wisdom as she dreams. Calm her and show her Your purpose for her life and for her dreams. Teach her to stand in the face of fear and speak the name of Jesus to defeat it. I ask this in the Name of Jesus, AMEN!

Excuse me but this doesn't make much sense to me.
If there is a door open which you could be due to sins then shutting this door during a dream would not have any effect on the real world.It happend in a dream. Why should the door be shut now? It was only a dream and not real. This is like saying:

Hey, I dreamed I asked Jesus for forgiveness and gave my life to him.

And then you say:
Wow, this is great, you're born again now!


You see the mistake?

Thanks. After hearing your response, I will lay all of your instruction to heart because I hear God's voice in it.

But, I must admit that I have more fear now.....I was in my own house. My first thought after I woke up was "those poor people in the Middle East!" What must they all be going through? I have never feared being inside of my own house before and it is not pleasant.

1Cor. 10:12-13 "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

(I am not ignoring you, Frederik - I've just been where you are before).

I am now looking for the way to escape. My husband and I know how to cast out demons. My husband is successful all the time, but I sometimes fail. I keep trying, though.

Some demons act like they own everything. Like they have special permission from God to stay. What say ye?
