Prayer

I heard one of the men I really have a lot of respect for say recently that if God gives you a vision, it will come to pass. It will not be prevented from happening.
But, he said, prayer can lessen the intensity of the vision. This has already been confirmed to me by the Spirit of God in my personal life.
If you ever see a gun pointed at a head, pray for all weapons (except those from God) to malfunction.....this is for an example.
If you see a building blow up and you know that people get killed, pray that the losses will be limited to the ones who meant to do harm.
Just thought I would pass this on.....

I apologise for my original message, because I know I misunderstood what you are saying. You were saying with prayer we can change the course of events that we have seen especially if they are not from God. We can direct prayer to attack the evil circumstances.

I am glad you sent the earlier message, Christy. Your question forced me to find it in the Word, not just to rely on my experience. (This is a big "Howdy do!" from some parts of the church who shouldn't be so judgmental, by the way, since that is GOD's job - again, this latter part from another part of the church).
Since all things that exist are created by God, I just assume He is the only One I can "hear" from in a vision - my decision, since I don't know any better. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world!
He promises us that He will never give us more than we can bear, but will always make a way to escape (you may think I am taking this out of context, but I don't believe I am). Suicide is tempting and murder is tempting under certain conditions if I don't know God's promises.
One if the things I've read is found in Jeremiah 26:13 - "Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey ther voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you."
Well, this blows up a lot of dresses, doesn't it? But it shouldn't. It is all over the Word of God.
I heard a comedian on the radio one time who said we are, in some parts of the church, looking for a microwave type of religion. We just pull up into the drive through with our window rolled down, the preacher sticks his head out and yells, "Turn or burn, baby!", and we drive off. (Conviction for me, again).
We need to ask questions. My husband says the only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked. Sometimes he nods off while I am still asking, which brings earlier temptations to my mind.......but I am directed by God's Word to do this.
Now I am thinking out loud....thank you for bringing up a subject that needed to be written down.
