General Wesley Clark and The First Amendment
“Democratic presidential candidate, General Wesley Clark, was leading the pack of 10 Democrats seeking the White House according to a Newsweek poll.
While the nation has been engulfed in a debate about church-state relations this summer, Clark was sounding off in a radio interview about the subject. Here’s what he said on WGCU 90.1, a public radio station in southwest Florida:
General Wesley Clark said: “I grew up believing that one of the basic principles in our country is that we would keep church and state separate...And we learned that in order to have freedom of religion, you’ve got to protect the state from the church ...
I think that it is better for our democracy and better for our religion if we keep the two separate.”
Actually, most non-revisionist historians will recognize that Clark has the uniquely American concept of freedom of religion exactly backward.
The founders weren’t trying to protect the government from the church—far from it. They were trying to protect the church from the government.
Even more to the point, none of our founding documents—not the Constitution, nor the Declaration of Independence—mentions ‘separation of church and state.’ Therefore, it is difficult to imagine how this might be ‘one of the basic principles in our country.’
When Clark talks about separation, it is not just religion and government, but religious values and government. I guess that’s how Clark, supposedly a Catholic, justifies and rationalizes his support for abortion on demand and homosexual domestic partnerships.
Clark apparently wants to go further than any prominent member of even the God-phobic Democratic Party has gone—excluding religious values from the public square and from public policy.”

Father, Wesley Clark and his Family need Salvation. Holy Spirit I release You to work in his heart and mess up his life to bring him to Jesus for his Salvation! Lord, if he will not accept Jesus as Lord and Savior then remove him from his office of authority and place a man or woman in that office that will follow You and re-instate Your Word as the basis for our freedom. In the Name of Jesus! AMEN!

Lord, I bet he likes the American Civil Liberties Union, too. And this group MUST go! I pray they disband! I pray they all get saved! I pray they realize this amdendment was to protect THE CHURCH from the state and NOT vice versa!
Lord, they have said the army should not help the Boy Scouts, because the Boy Scouts are for "God and country."
They say let's not display the 10 commandments, because God must be thrown out of any public influence.
They say let Roe vs. Wade stand, because we can not legislate moratily. While they try to legislate evil.
Lord, save Wesley Clarke! Save his friends in the American Civil Liberties Union. They are all in need of You!
While You are in the saving business, don't forget the Clintons, the Kerrys, the Kennedys, the Edwards.... and all other families who lean to the left. I pray for Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell and Rick Larsen. Save them and their entire families.
Send REVIVAL to America!
Send revival to the floors and halls of the House and Senate.
Let us see waves of salvations among poeple of influence!
In Jesus Name, I pray, amen!!!

Dear Heavenly Father, we know that it is the plan of the adversary to turn truth and light into darkness and corrupt the sacred values and great constitution our country was founded on. I join others this day in prayer that the land would be a place for religious freedom and protection from conspiring men and evil. We pray that others may be incited to pray for and stand up for all that we hold dear and the foundation of our religious freedoms. I ask that thou would block the way for these conspiring men to change that which is most sacred and precious. I give thanks to thee for the religious freedoms that abound at this time, but I recognize that the adversary is ever present seeking the way to tear down and destroy our agency. I pray for devine intervention for all that we hold dear and help us to stand up for these things and fight for our ideals. We pray for all those who represent our righteous ideals in public office and may their voice be made heard and the people back them. I know the power of good is greater then the power of the evil one. Please give us the victory and let us preserve our rights and our freedoms. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Holy Spirit lead the prayers here. Show us exactly how to pray that people will come to know you and that America will choose You, and discard the love of evil. Lord, Dear Lord, call the people to you. Send your Spirit forth to call all sinners to repentence, Send your Spirit forth to find and save those who are lost and walk in darkness. Lord, remove all who will not turn to you and accept your free gift with those who have or will. Lord, we pray for righteousness to prevail in every area of Government. Lord, renew in us the Your Spirit of Liberty for where the Spirit of the Lord IS...there is liberty! Let your Spirit move in Glory across America and with all her people. AMEN in the Name of Jesus.
