Stem cell research/another answer?

There has been a lot of talk and amongst celebrities feeling the way to find cures for some of these horrible diseases and such is through stem cell research. JeriRose made a post today about Michale J. Fox and I thought I'd add mine as well. My father-in-law has Parkinson's and I would love nothing more then to see a cure for this terrible disease and for the many other conditions such as the rejuvination of spinal cord injuries that Christopher Reeves gave so much attention to. But there has to be another way as so many of us believe that stem cell research is a moral issue and is wrong and not the way to go. I would like to start a prayer thread that we pray and ask the Lord for miracle cures for some of these conditions. We know the Lord has all power to save and even to inspire scientists to make break throughs in finding answers that do not conflict with moral issues! Please pray with me, another answer to stem cell research!

Stem cells can also be gathered from the umbilical cords of born babies, from what I have read.
