how did the dinosaurs die?

Today I saw something on TV and it made it look like a fact that the dinos died due to an asteroid millions of years ago... :?
The craters are there, so I guess it's a fact that asteroids hit the earth in the past but do you believe that the theory about the asteroid and the dinosaurs is really correct?
Does the bible mention asteroids? If man and dinosaurs lived at the same time then mankind would also have died.
