God's Soldiers MUST Get Whole!!!

Dear Lord, I feel this is SO important! This message about being soldiers You keep drumming into my spirit.... The soldiers in Your army must not be stumbling around the battle field, wounded and bleeding. They must not be laying on the battlefield, whimpering, distracting the strong soldiers. Okay, maybe they took a hit, but they must not bring others down with them. We who are called to stand in battle postitions (stand in the gap, to hold back the hordes of hell), can not be over doctoring every wounded soldier. Or caught unawares, we will be hit, too. We must leave that to those specially equipped for that service.... the Christian counslors, the pastors and so on. We can only help them so much, then, quickly, we must get back to our station. Your soldiers must not be laying in a hospital bed somehwere, refusing the prescribed medicine, because the pill is bitter; refusing the operation, becasue it's too painful; refusing healing, because they have no will to fight. If the people who pray are to become WARRIORS, we MUST get WHOLE!!!

Lord, You see, many are afraid to face their pain. They continue as though all is normal, but all this pressure is down there (as we learned in therapy group, a tire should hold a 100 pounds of pressure, but people are walking around with tires holding 1000 pounds of sad, 1000 poounds of mad, 1000 pounds of fear, 1000 pounds of shame.....) One day the tire blows. We see or hear something sad and cry and cry and cry and can't stop.... We get angry about one thing and then angry and angry and angry about everything, and we can't shut the anger off. We feel afraid about one thing, and then we just fear and fear and fear about everything; we feel ashamed in one area, then shame upon shame upon shame washes over us.... You see, Lord, ONE DAY what's inside WILL come out.

My prayer here is that people will defuse the blow out! Let people RIGHT NOW face what's really going on in their life! Let them face what's down inside, the good, the bad and the ugly. If they have hid it for so long or avoided it for so long, they have no idea what's driving them (as in a shame base, a fear base, whichever base it is), let them ask You. I understand, some of us have very little, as we've already dealt with a lot of inner pain. Some have a lot, though, and have stuffed it, and one day the cork will blow and they will explode everywhere. Better they deal with it now, start letting the pressure out of the tire, slowly. So, bring them to face what they can. Start showing them, one area at a time, what issues they have avoided dealing with.

Lord God, let Your people come to You and start with what they can identify -- perhaps, "Why am I addicted to porn?" or "Why do I get mad every time my husband is watching football?" Then, let them wait on You. It is time to deal with this stuff. They must WAIT in Your Presence. We are not talking quick fix. We are talking, wait on God as long as it takes to get answers. Wait quietly in Your Presence for You to speak. Lord, let Your people WANT healing! Most people won't even admit they need inner healing, because they see that as a weakness, let alone WANT to get healed. Yet, they spend years filling those empty places in them with drugs, sex, rock 'n' roll (I think of the song "Give me the beat, boys, it sooths my soul, I want to get lost in your rock 'n' rolll....") , alcahol, relationships, workaholism, excercise, materialism, liesure, gluttony, activity, clubs.... on and on. They won't come to You for healing, but will go to eveything possible to find satisfaction, and that thing becomes their god.

Why do I hark on this, Lord? Because the church has got to get WHOLE, so they can fulfill their purpose in the earth. It's time to GROW UP! To grow past the hurts and pains of the past inflicted on us through the years. Time to deal with all that is hindering us and stopping us and move ahead, as strong soliders of the Lord.

This is of major of importance, because we are supposed to be on the battlefied fighting Your battles (in prayer). This can make the difference in our performance on the field. This can make us well seasoned soliders, who having dealt with our pain, can move on to praying the things You have called us to, rather than constantly going around Mt. Sainai (back into our sin, addiction, bad habit or whatever else is keeping us from being effective in prayer).

You see, we are so busy praying for others who express their pain, but have we dealt with our own? Are we too distracted by our own problems (stemming from inner pain we refuse to or avoid dealing with?) to pray effectively? This is a well plotted scheme of satan. He fools us into thinking if we only think of others and ignore ourselves, we are being so wonderful. We pride ourselves on being others centered, not self centered. Yet, we are limping down the road, dragging a bad leg.... and we keep ignoring it. Until one day, we realize we need to see a doctor.... and he says the leg needs to be amputated! No, Lord! That is the purpose of this! To stop people from letting things get that bad. To encourage people to deal with their inner pain. To come to You and let You heal them, so they can be STRONG soldiers, well able to STAND in the day of war.

I don't know how long I am to go, Lord. I keep trying to get to other threads, yet there is so much Your children need to learn about how You desire to heal them. How You desire them to be REAL with You. How, it's okay to pull aside into spiritual boot camp, and go through the rigors of growing up, growing past all inner hurts of life. To get into the school of the Holy Spirit and let Him work on them until they are WHOLE. Lord, there is a war waging, and we MUST get ourselves READY to fight. If we are steeped in addictions, limping around the battlefield, trying to pray for others, it's time to get away from the field, get into the healing room of the Spirit, and let Him go to work! Let him operate, medicate and infuse the will to fight!

Lord, we have children on the battle field. I am not talking about youth, who are MATURE in You beyond their natural years. I am talking about people who are OLD in natural years, but are like babies or toddlers spiritually. They have been Christians for years and are half heartedly in the battle, but they really know not what to do, for they are not WHOLE. They are more of a distraction and hinderance on the field than anything. Call these people aside into Your healing room! Oh, Lord, SHOW THEM their need to let You minister healing to them in those places that hurt -- often the spiritual age they are being reflected by the natural years in which they were hurt.

Dear Lord, this call is like a trumpet blast. It is another of Your "Wake up!" calls. We think waking up means just jump onto the battlefield. Sometimes it means, "Get off the battlefied, get out of the way, get HEALED first." No wonder they take hits! They are nearly oblivious to the missiles of the devil whizzing around them. Then, the strong soldiers reach out to steady them or run to drag them to safety, jeapardizing their own positions on the field.... Oh, Lord, HELP Your army!

This is meant in no way to condemn or discourage! It is meant to HLEP people! Help them realize it is okay to seek the healing they need from You, so they can return to the battlfied, fit, ready, WHOLE! Oh, wow! This thrills my heart! To think of all those soldiers standing strong, their armor on tightly and correctly, their swords sharp. Yes, Lord, I see that vision.... Soldiers in ranks on ranks, standing straight, tall and proud, in shining armor, ready to do war for You. Now, THAT is the army we are needing, the army You are wanting. Lord God, may it be so!

Thank You, Lord. I am checking my body now. I see the stripes, Lord. Some still hurt, but they are healing. I don't see any blood, or festering sores.

I also see the fire burning my new uniform into existence. Thank You, Lord, for the vision of who I will become one day.

Let the eagle fly down to my shoulder and stay there....the voice of wisdom in my ear, so I can share the war effort with others.

Lord, give me a magnifying glass, so I can see the imperfections of my garment before I would hurt one of Your precious ones.

I plead the blood over our testimonies. I plead the blood over the actions of our hearts.

Thanks for the encouragement, Pickone. God has been pounding this into me lately. Most people struggle to admit inner pain, let alone deal with it. It is my prayer some people will start there path to WHOLEness and mamurity through what I posted here. It is the cry of my heart to see people get WHOLE!!!
