On a non-christian board I was attacked by other christians for saying to non-believers that they're on their way to hell without Jesus.
These christians said that I am judging others and committing a sin by doing so.They said I do not have the right to say to somebody he's on his way to hell.
I ask myself what are we as christians allowed to say anymore?
I guess mentioning the word hell is politically not correct. People do not like this word.

Well i guess u should just be open to other peoples beliefs. like saying that ur going to hell if u dont worship jesus, and being mad when someone goes against u for it is like how someone might feel becasue u went against them with ur post. like if i believed in buda or someone else i would get mad also.

Open to other people's beliefs? For some reason I don't think Jesus was open to other people's beliefs. I'm not saying be rude and mean to those with other beliefs but I'm certainly not going to be quiet about my beliefs. You don't know Jesus you will go to hell plain and simple. That would not be my first approach but I have said it to people who know about the Christ and just refuse to accept Him. Jesus wasn't quiet about the truth neither were the apostles why should we? I don't think it's judging when you tell a person that you know is on his or her way to hell that if you don't know Jesus you are certainly going there. There is a man that I work with that is a homosexual. He knows my beliefs. He knows I'm a christian and he does know about God and Jesus yet he won't accept Him and repent. He and I have begun conversations about salvation and right living and I have brought up the fact that God is not pleased with that kind of lifestyle and that if he doesn't turn he will be held accountable for his actions and life and will be punished. Something that he will regret and not enjoy. I am not rude about it. I speak it humbly and out of love but I speak the truth. So no. I won't tolerate anything if it is against the one and only Son of God.

NO were not to be open to other beliefs those who have not asked Jesus to come into there hearts are blind to seeing the trap they are in from being bound by there flesh in there sin so cant see the way out unless they cry out to God with all they have for him to save them. But man is full of pride and will not humble himself to do so and as result stays in bondage to the lifestyle and sin he is in. Gods word declares Jesus is the way the truth and the life. I see no ands ifs or buts in that statement. The road is narrow when following Jesus and you will either follow him or you are being given over to the desires of your heart..

I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. John 14:6

Those who want to say no to there flesh and in its dead ways and want to begin to learn how to yield to the spirit rather than the flesh in your life say this prayer with me: Jesus I come to you as I am and ask that you save me from all I am going through. I confess I am a sinner and ask that you come into my heart as friend and saviour from this day forth. Begin to fill my heart with your love and precious Holy Spirit and from this day forth I leave my life in your hands amen..

Frederik, sounds like you hit a nerve!

Those 'Christians' really flared!

Let them blow off steam.

Don't let them get to you. You say what is in your heart.

We've heard a lot from you, and you are on the right track.

Besides, boards are where we express ourselves. It is a place to be heard.

I can't imagine that telling someone that hell is a threat is any worse than telling someone that smoking will kill them or that drinking and driving is idiotic.

It is information they need. You keep telling them.

What are Christians allowed to say? Anything that Jesus has already said.

Stand your ground Frederik!

Jesus NEVER backed down to those who did not agree with him just to keep from offending them!

He died because He would not back down or away from the Promise God made to REDEEM the WORLD!

STAND FIRM! Christianity is supposed to be an OFFENSIVE WEAPON in the Hand of God!

You ran up against the "luke warm" Church that will be spewed from the mouth of God because they were not either HOT or COLD! (Rev. 3)

Stand Up and be counted among those who will not compromise and sing the demons of the world to sleep instead of throwing their sneaky, filthy tushies out!

Stand up and Challenge those who say Jesus is not the only WAY! Truth and LIGHT!

Stand Firm! In Jesus!

I would rather have someone be offended by speaking the truth rather than saying nothing at all and watch them go to hell. If I am prompted by the Holy Spirit to release the love of Jesus into someone and do nothing about it. How can I then stand before Jesus and there blood not be on my hands if I didnt show them the love of Jesus. I must share the truth of Jesus with them no matter how bad it offends or hurts them. They are in the dark and the light and ressurection power of Jesus will sometimes hurt them from being so long in the dark. Your doing great fredrick keep up the good work. Jesus has made you a fisher of men and you are casting out your fishing pole with the bait of Jesus on it to mens souls and Jesus wants you to let him reel them in God Bless..

Thanks everybody!

Somehow it's always the same thing on non-christian boards.
When you try to talk with somebody about Jesus most people make fun of him or insult him. And when you say something about hell they start to whine and accuse you of not showing them love.
The few christians there said to me that you do not win people by scaring them. I know that. But am I not allowed to say that they are on their way to hell when they mock Jesus?
Somehow this is always a stupid situation. What would Jesus do in such a situation? Would he become angry? Or what would he do?

Those Christians on that board are not making a stand for the truth now, are they? Jesus Himself, said I am the way, the truth and the Life, and no man comes to the Father BUT BY ME! THERE IS NO OTHER WAY!
I agree with the others here... stand your ground. State the truth of the Bible. Do it with love, and with peace. State the truth of the Bible, and if those Christians who are giving you static for saying that, keep doing so... keep standing your ground, share the truth, and tell them you are praying for them to see the truth
You are not judging someone in pointing out the truth of the Bible...without Jesus Christ and His salvation, they ARE going to hell, and nothing else CAN save them.

Yes Frederik do not give up.

Posted by: Frederik

I won't.
But one thing I noticed is that it's pretty senseless trying to talk to non-believers about Jesus.

Frederick,

As others have said, "Stand your ground!" Amen.

Being a Christian and standing for Truth is not the most popular thing in this world, but we are told that we are a peculiar people; in the world but not of the world. It is a privilege and an honor to be persecuted for Him....so no matter who says what about "political correctness", be truthful and do not back down.
It is not judging someone to tell that person that unless they get right, they are heading for hell. The so-called christians who told you otherwise need to spend some time on their knees in prayer; they have a lot to learn about Christianity. There are only two choices: choose life and life more abundantly, or choose death. There is no room in the Body for wishy-washyness.

God bless you in Your ministry...each one of you! And keep on keeping on! It won't always be easy, but it will always be worth it.

Amen!

Do not totally give up on talking about Jesus to those who don't know him. It will not always fall on deaf ears. You are planting a seed that will one days sprout and bring forth new life. We don't always see the results of our ministering to others but there will be results. Even those who are standing against you right now. You have planted a seed in them although they are not showing it as of yet. Just don't give up. There are those who don't know about Jesus who need your testimony and you to help them. God will show you who those one's are. Stay Strong!

I see what you mean. I don't like to tell people they are going to Hell. I saw this very nice middle aged epileptic man in my college class ealier this year. He was so kind and so nice. I first thought that he was a Christain because of his kindly nature and was shocked when he said that he wasn't when I inquired. He was telling me that it hurts him when Christians bash him and judge him, telling him he is going to Hell. All I said was that I was a Christian who believed Jesus was the way the truth and the life. I felt so bad for the poor dear man. I know he needs Jesus but he doesn't. I don't like to judge others, but we shoud tell the truth. How can we tell non-believers without hurting them. Yes, they need to be scared into obtaining salvation. I thought a scary movie or play might be a better way to explain truth so others won't think you are attacking them personally. Just a thought.

Fred,
What you wrote above is the norm, remember, we can only plant seeds, Only God can grow them. If it's God's Will to have someone accept His Word, so be it...that way we can't boast that we did it. So don't think it's senseless, you may plant a seed that God will decide to grow in 20 years, just because you don't see the results doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.
Jesus said "Because you're mine, the world will hate you"
Paul was a killer of Christians yet God chose him to do His work, you never know what impact what you have to say to non-believers will have, bottom line, if God wants them, His Will be done.
Our mission is to spread the Word, not make people believe, they must do that freely.
So spread the Word brother!!!!
Father God, when Fred tells others of Your Son Jesus, give him the peace of knowing that you will take it from there, calm his heart and continue to fill him with your Holy Spirit.
All Praise, Honor and Glory to our Triune God!!

I am too tired too read all your posts, but remember that we are told in the New Testament to be "wise in the way we behave to outsiders" and to give testimony to what God has done in you. To answer questions with a little testimony. We are to proclaim good news. Paul faced persecution. This comes from false god news from such as Artemis of the Ephesians. And scientist's scepticism. You can't give away what you do not have.

Ask them why they do not believe in the ancient gods. They were weak and harsh natured characters that were really fiction. They could never reveal themselves in history. Let them know that Jesus offers benefits that unbelief does not have, amidst the challenges.

We are born in amidst a spiritual war in which light fights darkness. Both choose us, so the rest is our choice, only our creator can take us to light and Heaven.
