Can someone please tell me why there are more people viewing a message than there are replies. I never could understand that. One would think that if someone took the time to view the prayer they should also pray for that needed prayer. That is unless they are silently praying for that need.

I was just wondering...

Sometimes a person does not know what to say in response. Other times a person will be praying in the spirit, which they do not reply. I know sometimes, I get called away by things at home, where I cannot post a reply, so the reasons why others don't, could be endless. A computer could have locked up, or needed rebooted, or some technical glitch. A 3 yr. old could be coloring the walls, or doing things that only 3 yr. old minds think up !
Sometimes a person is not led to give a reply... there are many reasons why a person doesn't leave a prayer post, but I do know this... God does not need a post to hear our prayers... even when it may be a consolation to the one who posted to know that someone left a post... it does not stop God from working to have a prayer and not a post. The post is for the person requesting the prayer... so any thinking no one has cared enough to pray, is often thinking wrong, and should count most "views" as silent prayers said to God for their prayer request~

I do not think that it's good to pray for somebody without letting this person know you're praying.

I'm not a fan of writing down prayers, I mean where is the sense of this?
Prayers are launched by the tongue. Typing them without saying them is useless. So I prefer saying a prayer and then just letting this person know that I'll pray for him/her.

As Star said..........some people don't type a response as they don't feel led to; others type just that they are praying; I know it helps to know when others are praying for your prayer request as it makes it more tangible to see the responses. This is why I make it a personal goal to at least type that I am praying for them. This way, they are acknowledged and don't leave the board feeling like nobody cares. So many come here wanting and needing an open ear to listen; and yet so many simply read and don't respond; yet they get disappointed themselves when nobody types a written response to their prayer request. I think it we can all make it a goal to at least type a simple "I'm praying for you and your situation", it would make a great impact on those who are putting in the prayer requests. I know this has been mentioned in another forum but I can't remember where. I will be on here tomorrow typing some replies, working on my testimony and praising GOD for what he has done in my situation that are heavy in my heart. I hope this helps you as I just typed what I felt led to type by the spirit. Take care and be blessed. And know, even if I don't always type a response, I make a list every day of every person's prayer that I view and I pray for them that night; that way, If i didn't type a response immediately, but get word of encouragement when I do pray for them, then I make sure to go back and type out that word of encouragement that GOD gives me to give that person. Be glad you are a child of GOD and a part of his great and mighty army, and you are blessed to be part of the family of warriors here at anointed.
